Initiation: Nithyananda's Morning Message 25 Aug 2010

Description:

n this discourse, Paramahamsa Nithyananda describes what is initiation, his experiments with Hatha Yoga Pradipika and his research about transferring his observations through initiation.

He says, "Whenever a master transmits the experience which has become part of his bio-memory into another body to become his bio-memory the process is called initiation. It may be physiological mutation or psychological mutation or just conscious ecstasy or a simple awareness experience or the deep restful awareness.

A master can transmit the physiological experience, mutation experience."

Paramahamsa Nithyananda describes his experiements with Swami Swatmananda's Hatha Yoga Pradipika where he found that simple breathing can create particular vibrations in chakras and certain changes in muscles. He describes how the different chakras like Muladhara, Swadhistana, Manipuraka, Anahata etc. are activated. After going through this experiment, Paramahamsa Nithyananda describes how this experience can be transmitted through initiation.

"There are 2 methods:

1. Making the disciple to sit and create certain mantras, vibrations, in that person

2. Just by touch telling the disciple to be in restful awareness able to transmit the formula Just by touch transmitting the formula is called initiation. When the disciple sits in an unclutched way or receptive mood, any experience transmitted from one biomemory to another without any effort from the disciple's side is called initiation. When it involves a little effort from the disciple and from the Master, it is called process. When it involves more effort from the disciple and less effort from the Master, it is meditation technique. When it is by disciple's efficiency and work, and the Master gives only instruction, it is called teaching."
