Bhagavad Gita (Song of God) is a timeless treatise on the essence of living enlightenment. The Gita was imparted by the enlightened Hindu incarnation Sri Krishna to the warrior-prince Arjuna over 5000 years ago. Amazingly, the spiritual wisdom and life solutions offered in the Gita are so universal and current that it is even today used as a personal transformation guide in universities and management schools worldwide.

In today's talk on Bhagavad Gita, Chap 2, Verse 49, Paramahamsa Nithyananda speaks on the transformation of our motivations. When we motivate ourselves through greed and fear -- reward and punishment -- we create a spiritual experience of Hell. As we evolve to the next level, the level of sacrifice, we launch a social core of compassion that eventually shifts the world consciousness. The sacred secret of Verse 49 is "surrender yourself to wisdom". When we act from the clarity of understanding that our well-being does not depend on the results of our actions, we free ourselves from the prison of expectation and transcend our mortal perspective.
