Receiving the Flagstaff flag and rope for Brahmotsav, AadiKailaasa
On 20 Dec 2006 , the Deputy Commissioner and chief priest from Sri Arunachaleshwara temple, Tiruvannamalai, brought with them a flag and its rope with the blessings of Arunachala. This flag was hoisted on the flag staff of the Temple of Sri Anandeshwara on 23 Dec, to mark the start of the 10-day Brahmotsav festival of deities, part of the 30th Jayanti celebrations of SPH. A rare honour and a mark of great respect from the Arunachala temple, this event was witnessed by all those at AadiKailaasa amidst much joy.
