Description
Date: Sun, 2013-01-20 10:00 Description in English: In today’s morning satsang, Paramahamsa Nithyananda reveals the deepest dimension of the 20th sloka of Katopanishad. In this sloka Yama, the God of Death, gives a boon to Nachiketa, a child who has willingly offered his life to save his father’s honor. Nachiketa asks to understand the mystery of death. Yama tries to distract him by offering wealth, fame and everlasting happiness instead, but Nachiketa stands firm. Nithyananda uses this as an illustration of sannyas, the way of enlightenment. When no distraction holds any interest for human beings, they have cleared their path to spiritual freedom.
