Another VIP in the spiritual circles Sri Jagat Guru Amrta Suryananda Maha Raja visited our Camp today. Amrta Suryananda Maha Raja is a Portugal based Yoga guru, the president of the Yoga Portuguese Confederation and the founder of Yoga Sámkhya Institute, Portugal. The Government of India honored him with the Padmasri Award in 2015,

Maharaj was the first one who dreamt up the International Day of Yoga and has been conducting it on June 21st for the past 15 years before finally the Indian Government and then the United Nations adopted that worldwide!

Maharaj saw the demonstration of blindfold reading by Gurukul kids and was extremely impressed by the phenomenon. He recognized Swamiji as a true Siddha Purusha who could not only express the Siddhis talked about by Patanjali in the Yoga Sutras but also transmit it to other people on such a large scale.
