Original Verse

आपादतल-वृत्तिः स्यान्-नाभेश्-चाधोगतिः स्वतः विण्-मूत्रादि-विसर्गं च कुरुतेऽपान-संज्ञितः इति भाष्यमतं प्रोक्तमितरेषां निगद्यते ॥ ५२ ॥ विण्-मूत्रादि-विसर्गं च कुरुतेऽपान-संज्ञितः इति भाष्यमतं प्रोक्तमितरेषां निगद्यते ॥ ५३ ॥


Transliteration

āpādatala-vṛttiḥ syān-nābheś-cādhogatiḥ svataḥ viṇ-mūtrādi-visargaṃ ca kurute'pāna-saṃjñitaḥ iti bhāṣyamataṃ proktamitareṣāṃ nigadyate ॥ 52 ॥ viṇ-mūtrādi-visargaṃ ca kurute'pāna-saṃjñitaḥ iti bhāṣyamataṃ proktamitareṣāṃ nigadyate ॥ 53 ॥


Translation

"One attains (proper) downward movement from navel to the feet facilitating excretion of urine and feces which is the activity of apana. This is narrated in Bhaya. Other opinions are narrated as follows"
