At Kanchipuram, Tamilnadu, South India, Bhagawan Sri Nithyananda Paramashivam inaugurated the Nithyananda Dhyanapeetam ashram by doing the bhoomi pooja (worship to Mother Earth), laying the first bricks and unveiling the foundation stone. He declared that this ashram will function as the Shakti Peetam (Seat of the Divine Mother). His Divine Holiness also took part in the Kodikann Ratha Yatra at Vellore, Tamil Nadu and also conducted a satsang there.
