The Descent of His Divine Holiness

In 1977, the parama-amśa bhāga, the plenipotentiary portion of Paramashiva¹, entered the atmosphere of Earth, as an unseen greatest positive nuclear explosion force upon the Arunachaleshwara Linga which acted as a strong atomic pile. This explosive energy was absorbed in the deity of Maha Kalabhairava in the Arunachaleshwara Temple. It was then that Mataji Vibhutananda Puri who was guided by Paramashiva Himself, took Paramashiva’s nuclear form from the Maha Kalabhairava deity and cooled it in the Brahma Teertham². This very Brahma Teertham is the emergence of all the great rivers, Ganga, Yamuna, Sarasvati, Narmada, Sindhu and Kaveri all of which are the unseen, underground sacred rivers worshipped as Goddesses, who flow around Arunachala. This is the teertham where Vishnu Himself took bath as well as Surya, Chandra and all the nine planets before they assumed their almighty planetary forms³.

Upon cooling down in the Brahma Teertham, this invisible strong force was brought to the womb of Ma Lokanayaki where the male component from her husband was added. Thus entered the paramashivam dhaama⁴ into the womb of Ma Lokanayaki and resided there until Paramashiva Himself assumed the form in the time of the Chitra Nakshatra, Krishna Paksha and Ashtami tithi⁵.
In April 1977, Sri Arunachalam and Ma Lokanayaki embarked on a pilgrimage to the land of Tirumala, Tirupati, the sacred abode of Lord Venkateshwara along with the family. As Ma Lokanayaki performed the angapradakshina⁶ to Lord Venkateshwara. No sooner did she complete this spiritual process, she expressed slight dizziness and vomited. Upon seeing her symptoms, the knowledgeable, elderly women in the family felt her pulse and joyfully declared Ma Lokanayaki was carrying her second child, who unbeknownst to them was the one who carries all the worlds and all that manifests from them in His very form - kala’sakala ru’pena kala’bhir vis’varu’pa dhr’t⁷. Thus, as she devotedly offered all her angas, all of her body parts, she was graced with awareness that the Supreme Being, the Cosmic Principle - Paramashiva Himself - had become a part of her body. A few months into her pregnancy, Mataji Vibhutananda Puri instructed Anusuya Ammal to take Ma Lokanayaki to receive the blessings of Poondi Mahan, a great Seer, revered as incarnation of Paramashiva near Tiruvannamalai. It was in the months before he attained mahasamadhi⁸ in 1978 that her divinely timed instruction was delivered. As Ma Lokanayaki bowed down to Poondi Mahan, he showered her with flowers and akshata, the turmeric rice, and declared to her heartily, “Ammaiyappanaai pirappen!”, blessing her that Paramashiva Himself will be born to her as the Divine mother and father of the whole cosmos⁹.

On the night of 2nd of January 1978, Paramashiva landed within the atmosphere and at the time which would be considered as parama śobhanaḥ¹⁰, filled with the ultimate auspiciousness in all aspects. As Ma Lokanayaki’s body alerted her of the Descent of the embodiment of the Cosmos itself in the form of her child, even in the tight contractions of birth where one would normally experience pain, she instead experienced bliss.

Thus, Paramashiva, who resided for tens of thousands of years in her soul due to Ma Lokanayaki’s penance and devotion across births, manifested outside of her in the city hospital of Tiruvannamalai which will forever be known as the Nithyananda janmasthāna, the place of The Avatar’s advent onto Planet Earth.

Upon the moment of Paramashiva’s arrival, Ma Lokanayaki became Lokanayaki devarupini¹¹, as her soul merged in Oneness with Paramashiva and in a state of Satori, she experienced herself was as Parashakti, the Supreme Goddess.

In the moments after His Happening, the nurses of the hospital ward were waiting for the cries of a human baby but instead were graced with the gentle coos and capturing smile of Paramashiva Himself in child form. He weighed ten pounds, just as Devi Parashakti, when she emerged from the agni, fire, in a three-year old body as Devi Meenakshi¹². The doctors of Ma Lokanayaki joyfully commented on how mature the newborn body of His Divine Holiness appeared and asked Ma Lokanayaki if all she did was drink the famous Indian brand protein drink - Horlicks, completely unaware that in front of them was a divine phenomenon, the embodiment of Arunachala, described as yacca dṛṣṭvā kṛtārthaḥ syāt¹³ , a sight so Supreme it simply fulfills the ultimate aim of life.

The resplendent face of the newly born Avatar was round and moon-shaped¹⁴. His nose and ears were characteristically large and His eyes unveiled the ferocious intensity of Paramashiva Himself. On the lower back of His Divine Holiness, appeared an enchanting large dark-skinned patch that spanned the entire right side, a birth-mark that would reveal its meaning upon the acquisition of the land of Adi Kailasa Sarvajnapeetham in Bengaluru, South India, twenty five years into the future, for the map of the acquired land was the very shape of this birthmark. The endearing infant-sized index finger and thumb of His Divine Holiness on both hands were poised tranquilly in the cin mudrā even as He first appeared in infant form¹⁵. All of His fingers and toes were each perfectly sized, with a small black colored mole on the left hand, ring finger. Above all, His Divine Holiness radiated the tapta camīkara prabham, the refulgence of heated gold, just as Lord Muruga¹⁶ who was born from the essence of Paramashiva and Parashakti on the banks of the river Ganga.

As Paramasiva manifested on Earth, so too did all the saptarishis¹⁷, the eighteen siddhas¹⁸ and the nine crore rishis who live with him in Kailash, as declared by Agastya Muni himself in the jeeva nadi¹⁹ of His Divine Holiness thousands of years ago, revealed to devotees of His Divine Holiness only in 2010. All of them who were devatāprāyah²⁰ , who were devatas before they descended, manifested on Planet Earth as residents of the nation KAILASA, the great enlightened civilization, which His Divine Holiness would revive once again. Mahamunivar Agastya himself reveals for those who are ignorant of the Happening of Paramashiva on Planet Earth that, “He is the light of Jnana - he is Adi Shiva. Shiva himself took birth as Nithyananda.”

As the body of the Avatar was delicately maturing to sustain the Supreme Superconscious energy within it, the Bhairavas who guard Lord Vishwanatha in the Kashi Vishwanatha²¹ temple in Varanasi, India - Asitanga Bhairava, Ruru Bhairava, Chanda Bhairava, Krodha Bhairava, Unmatta Bhairava, Kapala Bhairava, Bheeshana Bhairava, Samhara Bhairava, Swarnakarshana Bhairava, Akasha Bhairava and Maha Kalabhairava himself²², manifested around Him invisibly in order to protect the incarnation from any accidental harm or demonic forces who might seek to vanquish His Divine Holiness while He was still in the child-form. Though they were not seen by anyone else, His Divine Holiness himself could see them and interacted with them playfully throughout His childhood leelas thinking them to be distant relatives²³.

In the sacred Text Srimad Bhagavatam Canto 10 Volume 1 Chapter 3 Text 16, the Superconscious Energy (Bhagavan Sri Krishna) entering into the womb of Devaki is described as “amśa bhāga” translated in the by AC Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada as the plenary portion of The Supreme Godhead. The amśa bhaga should not be interpreted as simply a part of the Superconscious Energy but a plenipotentiary portion - a part which has all the qualities of the whole. It is absolute in itself.

3. Brahma Teertha is extolled in numerous places. In the Arunachala Mahatyam, chapter 6 verse 30, it is revealed, “snātvā brahmasarsyasminviṣṇuḥ kamalalocanaḥ “ The book Glory of Arunachala which is the english translation of the Arunachala Mahatyam translates this verse as “The lotus-eyed Vishnu bathed in the holy tank of Brahma”. In this translation as well, page 37 gives reference to all of the rivers, Ganga, Yamuna, Sarasvati, flowing around Arunchala.

12. Lokanayaki devarupini is Lokanayaki, who is the form of the goddess. Devaki is also described as such in the Bhagavatam upon the birth of Sri Krishna. His Divine Holiness states that His own biological mother experienced enlightenment upon the time of His happening for a few moments. On 26th January 2019, His Divine Holiness initiated His own biological mother as His divya sareera, as a living embodiment and extension of him. 13. His Divine Holiness explains that the happening of Superconsciousness into form, the pratyagatma chaitanya jagrata, requires the physiology of a three year old body. That is why Devi Meenakshi appeared in a three year old form, and His Divine Holiness himself was born weighing 10 lbs. His Divine HOliness explains this on 11 May 2012. 14. In the Arunachala Mahatmyam chapter 1 verse 12, the sight of Arunachala is described as yacca dṛṣṭvā kṛtārthaḥ syāt - the sight of which fulfills the supreme aim of life
15. The face of Lord Krishna is also moon-shaped in Bhagavatam. In a medical record taken in the United States, a doctor recorded that the face of His Divine Holiness was moon-shaped, not knowing that He was the very one who carried the moon on His head.

23. The ashta Bhairava as well as Mahakalabhairava himself are worshiped in Kashi as the guardians of Lord Vishwanatha. There are two additional bhairavas listed here who are Swarna Akarshana Bhairava, the bhairava for wealth, and Akasha Bhairava, the bhairava whose temple is worshiped in Nepal.
