Somavara abhisekam

The Somavara Abhishekam is a potent and sacred Hindu ritual performed at KAILASA Salem every Monday, a day specifically consecrated to Paramashiva. This Abhishekam (royal bath) serves as a profound offering, invoking the abundant grace and divine blessings of THE SPH and Paramashiva Himself. During this profound ceremony, the Linga or the deity representation of Paramashiva receives a royal bath with various auspicious substances, performed while chanting powerful Vedic mantras. The traditional sequence involves pouring offerings such as fresh milk, sacred yogurt, golden honey, pure ghee, vibhuti (sacred ash), and fragrant waters over the deity.
