Among the Acharyas of the Supreme Pontiff of Hinduism was Kanakammal. Kanakammal was a disciple of Bhagavan Sri Ramana Maharshi who wrote the tamil commentaries of Ramana Maharshi's books. She also used to take classes in Vedanta, which the uncle of the Supreme Pontiff of Hinduism would take him to.
Mataji Vibhutananda Puri, one of His gurus, also used to ensure to take the Supreme Pontiff of Hinduism to Kanakammal's classes.
On 10 September 2020, His Divine Holiness names Kanakammal as a part of the 5 layer eco-system of Tiruvannamalai. He mentions her as a part of the second layer of the eco-system, who are His Acharyas.
