Title
Arudhra Darshan is observed in the Tamil month of Margazhi
Narration
Arudhra Darshan is observed in the Tamil month of Margazhi. It is essentially a Shaivite festival celebrating the cosmic dance of Lord SadaShiva, which is represented by the form of Nataraja. Arudhra signifies the golden red flame and SadaShiva performs the dance in this red-flamed light. On this day Nataraja is worshipped along with holy chanting of the Vedas.
The cosmic dance of Lord SadaShiva represents five activities – Generation, Operation, Destruction, Delusion and Liberation. This cosmic dance takes place in every particle and is the source of all energy. Arudhra Darshan celebrates this ecstatic dance of Lord Shiva.
