Swami Atmananda is the predecessor of the Supreme Pontiff of Hinduism in the Guru lineage of three kingdoms namely: Kailasa Paramparagatha Sūrya Vamsa Kamalapeetha Sarvajnapeetha Adi Chola Samrajyam, Kailasa Paramparagatha Sūrya Vaṃśa Sarvajnapeetha Chola Samrajyam and Kailasa Paramparagatha Surya Vamsa Vedaranya Sarvajnapeetham. Swami Atmananda officially named the Supreme Pontiff of Hinduism as his successor in April 2014, after which SPH began officially assuming the responsibility as the Gurumahasannidhanam, king and reviver of the aforementioned kingdoms, their heritage and people.
