Sastra Pramana Source: Raurava Agama - Mudra Laskanam V.8
Original Verse: "वामहस्तस्य ग्रीवायां तर्जनीं दक्षिणेन तु ॥८॥ अङ्गुष्ठं उन्नतं कृत्वा ध्वजेन ध्यानमारभेत् ।"
Transliteration: "vāmahastasya grīvāyāṃ tarjanīṃ dakṣiṇena tu ॥8॥ aṅguṣṭhaṃ unnataṃ kṛtvā dhvajena dhyānamārabhet ।"
Translation: Touching the left hand kept in front of the neck (heart) with fore finger and keeping the right thumb raised upright is known as dhvaja mudra. The sadhaka should commence the practice of meditation by holding this Dhvaja Mudra.
