Title

Glimpses from Kailasa in Hyderabad, Sripuram Sarvajnapeetam Makara Sankranti 2023 Celebrations. The second day of the festival was on 15 th January is Mattu sankranti, where the Surya enters into Makara rashi, starting the uttarayana punya kala. This is very auspicous time. Puja is done to Surya Rudra. Pongal is cooked in the mud pot. Gangireddu (Bull) is decorated. Muggulu (Rangoli) is done. In Andra Pradesh and Telangana, Haridas roams around in streets singing kirtans of Vishnu, ram and comes to each home and blesses people. With the Blessings of Supreme Pontiff of Hinduism(SPH), His Divine Holiness(HDH), Jagatguru Mahasannidanam(JGM), Sri Nithyananda Paramashivam, the festival is celebrated grandly with much pompous and funfare.
