KAILASA CANADA'S TAMIL HERITAGE MONTH 2023 || Join us live today 10 AM NYT

As enacted in 2013 through bill c-471, January has been declared federally as Tamil heritage month - an opportunity to celebrate the contributions of Canadians of Tamil heritage to our communities as well as to raise awareness of Tamil history and culture.

Tamil culture and civilization is one that has spanned for thousands of years, its' linguistic dimension today recognized as one of, if not the oldest languages in human history.

It is a multi-dimensional civilization that represents itself linguistically, culturally, politically, educationally, poetically, ritualistically, spiritually, religiously, economically, and today through the continued contributions and involvement of the Tamil community wherever they settle.

As a part of Tamil heritage month, let us take this as an opportunity to learn, recognize, and experience the authentic history, culture, and livelihood of one of humanity's oldest living civilizations and its indigenous peoples, amongst whom we live today.
