+ | I welcome you all with My love and respects. The today’s subject is The Awakening, awakening to the truth, enlightenment, reality. Awakening yourself to your consciousness. Before entering into the sutras I’ll just answer the questions from devotees about the yesterday’s discourse.
+ | Question: In Vedic times there was no divorce but men could burn… Sorry I am not able to read .. but their wives Rama did Ramayana and sent them away what requests wife in an abusive, violent marriage. Is not divorce better than being burnt?
+ | Answer: I don’t think Rama burnt Sita. That’s the first thing. So, the very information with which you are putting question is not a true information. It is just the question is written just to disrespect the Vedic tradition. I don’t see any truth or sincerity in your question. Two ways you can analyze this problem. It was not always abusive or you don’t have to always think that divorce is the only way to escape to avoid abusive… abusive relationship. So, it is just a purely hypothetical question, not a question of real problem. You can always say that if divorce is not there then what will happen to this, what will happen to that. But any problem you can find a solution. There is no need that divorce should be a solution. And I don’t think Rama burnt Sita. That is a complete, wrong information or a lie.

+ | Question: Nowadays person selects his own spouse at the age of 20-35 he still makes a lot of mistake. Would not You advocate a person selecting his religion whether Jainism, Buddhism, Islam or Christianity at a mature age of twenty plus after, he has a chance to explore all of them.
+ | Answer: Oh God. It’s a nice idea. Few days ago I had a radio interview. In that I spoke this same thing. Religion should not be forced on people. It should be an option, after maturity, maybe after fourteen. They should be given a fair, clear, decent idea about all religions from the original source, from their sources. And a person should be given a choice to decide what he wants to follow. This is exactly My idea. I advocate; this is what I call religious freedom. Real religious freedom means you are given freedom to choose your religion. You are given freedom to practice your own religion. That is what is real religious freedom.

+ | Question: Guruji, it appears most of your life so far outside this materialistic world. Being in outside, how did You learn reading and writing and speaking so fluently? Please excuse me if my question does not make sense.
+ | Answer: To tell you the truth no question makes sense. All questions are just playing with words. It’s a strange question. See, in Vedic tradition, even in Jainism, we don’t believe knowledge can be gained only through senses. Knowledge can come from a different source. We call that as a intuition. There is a source through which knowledge can happen to you; if you know how to open that door, how to open that source, you can receive knowledge without the help of eyes and ears.

+ | Question: What is qualifications to be called Paramahamsa?
+ | Answer: You are supposed to be in complete bliss and experiencing the total freedom. That is the qualification for Paramahamsa.
+ | |||
+ | [07:56] | ||
+ | |||
+ | Question: Your discourses of last four days has brought major suffering for me because my wife expects me to be a married Paramahamsa. (laughter) Can You help a person like me?
+ | Answer: I am here to help only you. Understand. If your wife is expecting you to be a married Paramahamsa, she also should become a Paramahamsee. Everybody expects that their husband should be ike Ramakrishna. But nobody wants to become like Sharada Devi. Understand. You first tell her you achieve the state of Sharada Devi then naturally you will see me as a Ramakrishna. So, this is the help I can give as far as now. Maybe you can try to bring her to the discourses and spiritual practices. That’ll give, that may give little more help for her and for you.

+ | Now we’ll enter into the sutras. Moksha Marga Sutra. Again we are going to work on the Moksha Magra Sutras. But the second chapter, next chapter. Yesterday we worked on the Moksha Magra Sutras, first chapter, today Moksha Magra Sutras - second chapter; very powerful sutras. The problem is because it so much filled with the truth, only a sincere seeker can feel connected to it. If you are just an onlooker, or a casual visitor, you won’t feel connected to this.
+ | You see, a casual visitor can feel connected to Gita, because it's more for a mass, but these great sutras of Mahavira is not for mass; it is for a sincere seekers. It is delivered to a different quality of human beings. Gita is delivered to a person who was in the world and who is going to be in the world. But this Jain Sutras are delivered to a people who are working towards enlightenment, who are working towards ultimate realization. So, these Sutras are so powerful and filled with truth, it needs intense energy to go into it and experience it.

+ | This is the… I can say punch line. This is the essence of this whole thing, where they are ending the sutra by saying even liberation is useless. Understand. There is no other Master who is so courageous, so powerful. Understand the last statement Jay divye jeya manuse
+ | Even the liberation is useless. This is surprising. The one who transcends sin and merit, bondage and liberation. Understand. You are supposed to be free from the idea of freedom also. Actually the ultimate freedom can happen to you the moment you are liberated from the idea of freedom. As long as you want freedom you will be bound on working towards it. The moment you are liberated from the idea of freedom, you are liberated this moment.
+ | |||
+ | [13:52] | ||
+ | |||
+ | This is the punch line. This is the essence of the whole spirituality. I don’t think any other Master is so courageous to declare that you are… you should be free even from the idea of liberation. See, understand, as long as a disciple is seeking for liberation only he will be around you. No, it’s a cunning way Masters keep the disciples around them. No really, only a great person like Mahavira, only a great Master like Mahavira only can declare liberate yourself even from freedom, even from liberation. See, here he’s saying one who transcends sin and merit, bondage and liberation. He’s liberating you even from the concept of liberation.
+ | |||
+ | [15:01] | ||
+ | |||
+ | Actually when you are liberated from the concept of liberation you experience true liberation, otherwise the concept of liberation is the best way to bind you. See, even for money you can’t be bound 24 hours; 8 hours a day that’s all. But if somehow liberation idea is inserted into your head, you are bound now 24 hours. You will do exactly as this guy.. guy want you to do. You will do all sorts of things, what this fellow want you to do. There was a time this so-called spiritual people have started using the liberation idea to rule the common mass, to rule the ordinary people.
+ | |||
+ | [15:54] | ||
+ | |||
+ | With Mahavira even that mistake can’t happen. He’s so clear. That is what I am telling you. He has created a fool proof system which can’t be corrupted. Either you know consciously you are going away from Mahavira or you follow him perfectly. You can't justify yourself and corrupt his teachings. No. Impossible. Either you know very clearly you are not following Mahavira properly and you are just doing things on your own and trying to act as if you are following spirituality. Or you will be very clear and follow the true path Mahavira teaches.
+ | Mahavira’s power, Mahavira’s intelligence and his ability to create the sutras in such a beautiful way, you’ll be surprised. You’ll be...if you study different traditions you’ll understand the power of Mahavira’s words. It can’t be degenerated, you can’t misinterpret, you can’t miss it, you can’t dilute this, you can’t corrupt this. He has taken the extreme step to preserve the purity of his teachings.
+ | |||
+ | [17:31] | ||
+ | |||
+ | Let us enter into the truth one by one. The one who does not know the difference between matter and consciousness; jada and chaitanya won’t be able to practice restraint, samyama. Only the one who knows matter and consciousness can practice restraint. Oh God. It’s a beautiful sutra. Here he is giving the technique to be in consciousness all the time, to go beyond the materialistic needs. See, the person who knows the difference between matter and consciousness, chit and jada the consciousness and matter, only he will be able to practice, only the person who knows the difference will be able to practice, samyam, means the restraining himself or pure life.
+ | |||
+ | [18:49] | ||
+ | |||
+ | See, there is a two thing in your being, one is consciousness, your Anma, enlightened energy, soul. The other is the matter, your body. There is something called chit jada granthi, means the matter and consciousness, chit and jada, is connected, like a knot. We call that as a chit jada granthi. This connection, this connection only is called ignorance. This connection only is called the cause for maya.
+ | One important thing, if you look little deep and try to find out where it is connected, you will see it is not connected at all. When you are superficially looking now you will feel as if your soul and your body is connected. That is why your body is functioning. But if you look inside and see where it is connected, both of them are never connected, you will realize you are liberated.
+ | |||
+ | [20:08] | ||
+ | |||
+ | It’s like a… understand this one example. You go and stand in the corner of a room and you think you are in prison because both sides closed. You stand in the corner of the room facing the corner and you shout, “Please liberate me, liberate me!” Somebody from your behind shouts, “Fool, third side there is no wall, turn!” When you turn back and you see, “God, I don’t have to be liberated, I am already free.” You will realize you are never in bondage. You were never in bondage. You are always free. You go to the corner. You corner yourself and think you are bound.
+ | |||
+ | [20:56] | ||
+ | |||
+ | Same way here, when you look deeply into the chit jada granthi where the consciousness and matter-jada is connected, suddenly you will realize it was never bound, it was never connected.
+ | The beauty of Mahavira is he’s a pure truth, 24 karat gold. You can’t add any stories or jokes or any examples to him, because any joke added, any story added, any example added will dilute the truth. That is why I am not using many examples. Because many time these so-called commentators spoil the whole truth. People sometime feel the original sutras are more…

+ | I do not want that mistake to happen. That is why I am not using any examples. I am not using any stories. I am not using any other references. He’s so clear. If you understand or try to look where the chit and jada is binding each other, touching each other, getting knotted, you’ll suddenly see you are free by your nature. There is no knot.
+ | Small announcement: some illegal car parkings on the outside parking lot, getting tickets. They need to go and check please.
+ | You may get liberation from liberation, but not from tickets in this country. If you do illegal thing, nobody can do anything. And these guys are telling that Swamiji should do something. What? You’ll do some illegal activity --uhh-Jnani only told na? Uh.. you will do illegal things and I should save you from that. Whatever is said and done you have to take care of the law. Moreover it's created, you see it’s the… it’s we who should… if you take the responsibility for law, you are liberated from law and you will not feel that it is enforced on you. See, again it is connected to our subject only. It is directly connected to our Moksha Marga.
+ | |||
+ | [02:08] | ||
+ | |||
+ | See, whatever you may think or do, life has to run based on certain principles. As long as you don’t understand those principles and accept them, they will be bondage for you. The moment you understand and accept them you are liberated from them. They are no more enforced on you, that’s all. That's all is the secret which Mahavir is delivering here. So, Mahavir is teaching you now through, in reality. 😀 Understand the whole truth is this only. There is a dharma, law of life. Somebody asked Me, “Swamiji enlightened people don’t die or what? Then why should we become enlightened?” I told him, “No, who said enlightened people don’t die? Of course, they don’t die like you. What happens to you when you die will not happen to them when they die.
+ | |||
+ | [03:26] | ||
+ | |||
+ | They do not … you… you die in a normal way, like a -- your soul leaves the body and body goes through a suffering and your mind is feeling miserable because you did not fulfill something, you did not do what you want to do and you did something which you don’t want to do. The fear and greed and everything comes up. You go through suffering and leave the body. But with enlightened beings there is nothing called, fear or greed or suffering. So, you can’t call their death as your death.
+ | There is a law of life. Anybody who has taken the body has to leave the body. In your case because you did not understand the dharma, law of life and accept it, it’s like you feel it is enforced on you. With enlightened Masters case they understand it is dharma and they accept it. Because of that they don’t feel it is enforced on them. They are liberated from the law… you are liberated from the law when you take the responsibility for the law. Means, any law is created for all of us. When you became part of it…. you see, if you look as a whole you will not criticize any law. Only if you look as a part, if you look from your view, you will criticize all laws. If you look as a whole you won’t criticize any law.
+ | |||
+ | [05:27] | ||
+ | |||
+ | Now all you need to do is the same thing. The cosmic law is dharma. If you look from your angle you will always feel it is enforced on you. If you look from the angle of a cosmic energy, you will feel it is you created. So, all you need to do is liberate yourself, just by expanding; look from a different angle. You will liberate yourself. Take the responsibility. Understand and accept, you will suddenly feel no law is binding you. You are not… nothing is enforced on you, you are not bound by any regulations. You will see you are expressing your being, you are expressing your reality, you are expressing the truth in your life.
+ | |||
+ | [06:30] | ||
+ | |||
+ | ‘One who does not know the difference between matter and consciousness’
+ | As long as you think you are a body, you can’t escape from the pleasures of the physical world. See, when you think you are mature, naturally the small, small attachments like a toy, barbie doll, all these things disappears. Till you are matured, even if you try to renounce the toys, you may renounce physically but you will be thinking about it.
+ | Same way, till you experience your consciousness, you can’t renounce the physical pleasures. Even if you renounce you will be mentally thinking about it.
+ | ‘The one who does not know the difference between matter and consciousness won’t be able to practice restraint.’
+ | Only when you experience you are a conscious being, understand, you are not human being having spiritual experience, you are spiritual being having human experience. It is the other way. You are not human being having spiritual experience, you are a spiritual being having human experience.
+ | So only when you understand the truth, you are a spiritual being having human experience, suddenly you will see the outside world or the pleasures of the world is not attracting you at all. It’s not affecting you any more. You are just beyond all these things. You are just living in a different space.
+ | |||
+ | [08:27] | ||
+ | |||
+ | ‘The one who sees everything as movements in consciousness, he transcends sin and merit, bondage and liberation’ - this is the essence. This sutra is the essence. The one who sees everything as movements in consciousness - you are in consciousness, and you are consciousness, just consciousness is moving inside the consciousness. Understand. There is no matter. There is no jada. There is no outer world. The outer world also is inside your consciousness. This can happen to you when you start witnessing, when you start constantly witnessing whatever happens inside and outside. Suddenly you will see all movements, whatever is happening, including you, is just part of your own consciousness. What you think as you, what you think as world, whatever you think as the outer world and the other person, everything is just movements in consciousness.
+ | |||
+ | [09:57] | ||
+ | |||
+ | This can happen to you when you witness, above all, when you unclutch from your body and mind. See, as long as you connect with your body and mind, you create a boundary between you and the world, you and the whole. When you unclutch suddenly that boundary disappears. You are no more separate from the whole, you are no more separate from the truth, you are no more separate from the reality. You are just filled with the same thing. See, the body will be there as a body as long as you give the name for it. The moment the name disappears from you it remains in you as just an experience. Without this so-called words or the qualities associated with it, you will see in reality it is the same.
+ | |||
+ | [11:05] | ||
+ | |||
+ | See the power which runs your body is only is running the sun and the moon. The force which is working inside you is the same force running
+ | the solar system, running the whole world. If something is happening inside your body, it directly affects the sun and the moon. You will realize you are not an island as you think. You are not an island as you believe. Your belief that you are an island is too small. It’s like a big ocean, a small straw is floating, piece of straw is floating, piece of straw is too small to make the ocean into two piece. Sameway your ignorance is too small to take away your enlightenment. Understand this important truth. Your ignorance is too small to take away your enlightenment.
+ | |||
+ | [12:11] | ||
+ | |||
+ | You are fortunate your enlightenment is more strong, more powerful than your ignorance. That is why the enlightenment is possible. That is why it is possible. Your ignorance is too small to cover you or to make you into two.
+ | ‘One who sees everything as movements in consciousness’,
+ | Whichever divides you into pieces, just drop. As long as you as carry “I” the idea “you” will be there, the idea of “other” will be there. The moment you relax from the “I” the idea of “other” will disappear.
+ | As long as you connect all your thoughts and see the things with your own ideas, you will see the outer world separate. But I tell you, once you unclutch from your body and mind, ‘the one who sees everything as movements in consciousness’-- you will start seeing everything as movements in consciousness. He transcends sin and merit, bondage and liberation. You don’t even ask for liberation. Understand. You transcend liberation.
+ | Now whatever you think as liberation even that is an idea. I always tell people unclutch even from your idea of liberation, you will be liberated. Otherwise you will have an idea, “if I am liberated I should be like this”, and you will try to fulfill that idea and never feel liberated.
+ | |||
+ | [14:05] | ||
+ | |||
+ | Liberation means there is nothing that you should be like that or like this. No. You should feel intensely and clearly you are liberated. That’s all. You have nothing to achieve. You are free. That can happen to your being, that can happen to your soul only when you liberate yourself even from the idea of liberation.
+ | ‘The one who sees everything as movements in consciousness.’
+ | For example, when you look at this rose you create a word ‘rose’ in your mind and start thinking all ideas which you have about roses, means the ideas connected to the roses and all the roses which you presented to somebody and all the roses presented to you. Some idea, some connection how that person responded, how you responded, slowly in few seconds, you’re away from the rose. You are no more connected to rose. Anything in the world you can see, the moment you see, words are created, you are away from the reality. You are now in your own dream world, in your own dreams.
+ | |||
+ | [15:39] | ||
+ | |||
+ | Seeing, but not creating a word, and directly trying to connect, just like kids… See kids will not know the word. But you see, when kids they see something, their whole being sees it, as if they are enjoying, as if they are living it. So, see without using the name, without using the word, then suddenly you will see strange thing happening between you and the rose. The idea or the boundary that you are separate from the rose, will slowly disappear. You will feel like you are just slowly becoming one with the rose because the boundary is disappearing. Because the boundary is disappearing you are becoming one with the reality. You are becoming one with the truth. You are becoming one with satya. Suddenly you will see, you feel so deeply connected to rose when you see the rose without word.
+ | |||
+ | [16:47] | ||
+ | |||
+ | Same way with anything. With a tree, with a person, with a situation, always you have a prejudice. If you drop your prejudice and see… For example, particular situation if you think that you should be depressed, usually you respond only as a depression, in a depressed way to that situation. When that situation arises you will see that you will be depressed. No other way. No other way. So, whoever is connected to something, to things of the outer world in a particular way, we call this as a psycho drama. If you are prepared, if you are given the dialogue of depression at a particular moment, you will repeat the same mood, same dialogue, throughout your life when that kind of situations arise in you. So, the whole life is nothing but psycho drama, selected dialogues and psycho drama.

+ | ‘Person who understands everything as movements in consciousness’
+ | There's a beautiful Zen story. One disciple goes to Master and asks, “Master, you have become a Master. Please guide me also how to become a Master.”
+ | Master says, “Who said I have become a Master? No. I am a Master because you want to be a disciple. As long as you are doing the … you are playing the role of a disciple, I’ll be in the seat of the Master. The moment you are no more a disciple I will not be a Master anymore.” The disciple was shocked. He said, “How can it be?” Master says, “Yes, only when you want to see a Guru, you will see Guru in me.”
+ | |||
+ | [18:45] | ||
+ | |||
+ | For example, it’s not that all the people who see Me on the road, they all feel My presence or energy. No. Only a person who needs, who wants, he feels connected. So, including your experience, everything is part of the great psychodrama being played here.
+ | Understand. Master plays the psycho-drama of master-disciple relationship to expose you to the reality and to take away all other psychodramas from you. That is why we say guru-disciple relationship is the ultimate relationship and last relationship. Till you have that relationship you will have all other relationships. Once you have the guru-disciple relationship, he swallows all other relationships. He takes away all other relationships and now nothing else will exist. And then he takes away even the guru-disciple relationship and shows you there is no guru, no disciple. There is only one thing that is - You can call it as a you or me. It is only one. As long as the you and me exist there is a possibility for relationship. In reality, you and Me itself doesn’t exist. It is one and the same. You may call that as a you or Me. That’s not a problem. Any word you may use. But you will realize the one who sees everything as movements in consciousness, you will realize you and me are just two different waves in the same ocean. Two different waves in the same ocean. Maybe a big wave or small wave. But whatever it is, but same ocean.
+ | |||
+ | [20:46] | ||
+ | |||
+ | You are also going to settle down into that same ocean. I am also going to settle down into the same ocean. Even if you don’t want, you will fall only in that same ocean.
+ | The wave when it raises, when it is in its peak height and when it falls, in all three times it is directly connected to ocean. It can’t be away from ocean. It can never be separated from ocean. Even if the wave thinks it is become separate from ocean and it has to get liberation, it has to reconnect itself to source and ocean… even if you think you are separated from the ocean, you are connected to ocean.
+ | |||
+ | [21:30] | ||
+ | |||
+ | Same way, even if you believe you are in bondage, you have not achieved liberation, please be very clear you are never bound. You are eternally liberated. You are connected to the source. You are connected to the ocean. You are filled with energy.
+ | Person who understands everything is movements in consciousness, whether you or Me… You are like a wave in the ocean. You rise in it, you go to the peak height in it, fall inside it. That’s all. There’s no other difference. There’s no other thing.
+ | ‘The one who sees everything as movements in consciousness, he transcends sin and merit, bondage and liberation. The one who transcends sin and merit, bondage and liberation he understands the futility of sins and joy…

+ | …and renounces them completely. When you understand the sin and merit, bondage and freedom, it’s not that you need to renounce the sense enjoyments. Sense enjoyments will renounce you. They will understand you are useless for them and they will renounce you.
+ | You renouncing smoking will not help because you may get it, you may bring it back again. Smoking renouncing you is the only way. Your consciousness should become such; those senses should feel you are no more useful for him or her. They are no more useful for you. And they can’t exploit you any more. They can’t live inside your system anymore. Only when they understand, only when your senses understand that your body and mind can’t be used by them any more, you are liberated from them. And they do not try to bind you. They do not try to create attachment in you.
+ | |||
+ | [01:23] | ||
+ | |||
+ | ‘The one who renounces, also renounces everything in the inner world and the outer world. The one who renounces, also renounces the inner and outer world.’ Understand. The… it is continuity from earlier sutra.
+ | The one who renounces the sense enjoyment, which is mentioned earlier, also renounces all attachments in the inner and outer worlds. Such a person then receives initiation from the superior one, means the Master and attains the state of a Muni, the state where he does not consider this world, this world as his home and wants to enter into the other world. When he attains the state of a Muni he gets a glimpse of true dharma. Understand.
+ | |||
+ | [02:21] | ||
+ | |||
+ | Now, the sutras are explaining about the state of enlightenment and how you live in it. The one who renounces the sense enjoyment also renounces all the attachments in inner and outer worlds. The inner world also you are not supposed to have any attachments. You are supposed to be experiencing the truth even beyond the inner world, as opposed to Dharma.
+ | ‘If you understand the attachments are opposed to dharma in the inner and outer world, such a person then is initiated.’
+ | Initiated means the experience is transmitted from Master to him.
+ | ‘The transmission of the ultimate experience happens and he attains the state of a Muni. He attains the state of enlightened one, siddha, the ultimate pure consciousness.’
+ | ‘Once he gets the glimpse of the truth, dharma, he removes the veil of ignorance which surrounds his true self. Once the veil of ignorance is removed, he attains completely the state of pure knowing, kevala jnana and pure darshan kevala darshan, the pure enlightenment.
+ | This whole sutra, moksha marga sutra is all about enlightenment and the ultimate state. It’s a beautiful sutra. And the next few sutras are also connected.
+ | |||
+ | [04:11] | ||
+ | |||
+ | ‘The one who attains the state of pure knowing and pure experience, such a jin, means the person who has conquered, attains the state of kevala jnana and transcends all planes of existence. Once he attains the state of kevala jnana he finally renounces the mind, speech and the body and attains the state of samadhi and shanti. Once he attains the state of shanti, he destroys all karmas from their root and attains the state of enlightened one, siddha. Once a siddha he remains to be siddha eternally.
+ | |||
+ | [04:53] | ||
+ | |||
+ | Beautifully, Mahavir is describing through various words about how the enlightenment is achieved and how you remain in that state. Maybe I feel that once I start talking on this sutra, there shouldn’t be any gap. Now you can, you may have five minutes break. Then we will start this sutra and end the session with the complete understanding of these few sutras. So you may have few minutes of break - interval, then we will start the next session with a few sutras of moksha marga. Thank you.
+ | |||
+ | [05:47] | ||
+ | |||
+ | Now let us start the kevala jnana and kevala darshana; the pure knowledge and pure experience. Mahavira says once the veil of ignorance is removed, he attains completely the state of pure knowing and pure experience. Mahavir is describing the process of enlightenment here, through this five, six sutras.
+ | ‘The one who sees everything as movements in consciousness, he transcends sins and merit, bondage and liberation.’
+ | ‘The one who transcends sin and merit, bondage and liberation, he understands the futility in sense enjoyment and goes beyond them.’
+ | ‘The one who renounces sense enjoyment also renounces the attachments in the inner and outer worlds. Such a person then receives initiation, means the transmission of energy from a superior one, from the Master and attains the state of a Muni and once he gets a glimpse of the true dharma, he removes the veil of ignorance, which surrounds his true self.’
+ | ‘Once the veil of ignorance is removed he attains completely the state of pure knowing and pure experience.’
+ | ‘One who attains the state of pure knowing and pure experience, such a jin…’ it is the root word for Jain - ‘…attains the state of kevala jnana and transcends all the planes of existence.’
+ | ‘Once he attains the state of kevala jnana, he renounces mind, body and speech and he’s in shanta - stillness.’
+ | ‘Once he attains the state of stillness, he destroys all karmas from their root, and attains the state of a siddha, enlightened one. Once a siddha he remains to be eternally enlightened, siddha eternally.’
+ | See, beautiful, many sutras but actually the whole thing happens in one second. It is not like a step by step, what he’s describing. He’s describing using so many words, the ultimate glimpse, or the ultimate truth, how it happens and how the person is established in enlightenment.
+ | |||
+ | [9:09] | ||
+ | |||
+ | You may think by knowing all these things, what is the direct use? Understand if you deeply connect with the truth of these teachings, feeling connected, this very listening can just transport you to that plane, to that existence. Because there is no other qualification necessary to achieve this reality. As I was telling you, your ignorance is too small to take enlightenment away from you. Your ignorance is too small. You are not so ignorant as you think. Even in ignorance you are not full as you think. Fortunately you are not full even in your ignorance. Your ignorance is not so powerful as you think. It is possible to go beyond. It is possible to work beyond.
+ | Just the other day, I went to see one of our devotee, who left the body. And after meditating I just touched the… means, did namaskar with a lot of respect and reverence. One of our devotee asked Me, “Why did you give respect for her? You blessed her. That is beautiful. But why did you pay so much of respect?” I want all of you to understand the answer which I gave because that will enlighten you with this whole truth.
+ | |||
+ | [11:10] | ||
+ | |||
+ | In Bhagavatam there is a beautiful story. Krishna was touching the feet of Radha and painting it with that… what do you call? No, before the marriage you paint all the things on the hand and hm… mehendi. The story says that Krishna was applying mehendi to Radha’s feet. And it is too much. All the Rishis, and Munis are waiting to touch the feet of Krishna and he is touching somebody else’s feet! And they said ‘What? You gone crazy or what? You may be in love with her but that’s not that you will touch her feet. You are the ultimate. You are Bhagawan Himself. How can You touch the feet?’ He says beautifully, “Her devotion is so or devotion has got so much of depth. She’s so devoted I feel that she’s more connected to me than my body itself. She’s so deeply connected to me than this body itself.”
+ | |||
+ | [12:35] | ||
+ | |||
+ | Understand. This will give you the glimpse of the space in which Masters are living. I told the same thing. That person is so devoted, she’s close to Me than this body itself. It means just because I am living in this body this body is not close to Me. There is a possibility to get more closer. You need to understand the… I can say that the… psychology of enlightenment, or the physiology of enlightenment, whatever word you may use, we don’t know the right word, the truths of enlightenment.
+ | Enlightened Being may be using a body but your devotion can be more closer to his enlightenment than his very body itself. This truth liberates you. It can guarantee you your enlightenment with just your devotion or feeling connected. See, to whom you are devoted, whether he’s enlightened or not, don’t bother. Just you feeling connected, your trust, your surrender itself is more than enough to give you enlightenment.
+ | |||
+ | [14:16] | ||
+ | |||
+ | Many people come and ask Me, “Swamiji, if I surrender to a statue, surrender to a murti, surrender to a stone, will I become enlightened”? I tell you to whom you surrender, whether to a stone or a murti or a statue is not important. The surrender, the quality of surrender, that is important. If that quality happens in you, even a stone can give you enlightenment. Stone itself may not have been enlightened, but it can give you enlightenment. Because you are more closer to the idea represented by the stone than the stone itself. Understand. You are more closer to the truth represented by the stone than the stone itself. This is the truth. This is the base. This is the thing which you need to understand, why we use idols to achieve enlightenment. How the idols can lead to enlightenment. How the statues can lead to enlightenment. Idol worship is not just ordinary thing. If you stop with that, it is an ordinary thing. But if you use that… actually we don’t worship idols; we worship through idols. We worship through idols, not just idols.
+ | Your intensity is more than enough to liberate you. Even a statue is enough to liberate you. And if you don’t have an intensity, even if God comes in front of you, you will ask for ID card. 😀
+ | |||
+ | [15:57] | ||
+ | |||
+ | In Ramakrishna’s life there’s a beautiful story. Ramakrishna himself became enlightened through the help of Kali, Kali murti; just a one stone statue and he became enlightened. When he was talking about this somebody was sitting in front of him and counting beads or doing some technique, some.. something. Some traditional things they were doing, some sandhya or something. Then Ramakrishna says ‘See, in my case because of my trust even the stone gave me enlightenment. In his case I am sitting in front of him, and this fellow is closing his eyes and doing some sandhya. What he will achieve? What he’s trying to see is sitting in front of him but he’s not able to see.’
+ | Many time when you really open up, when you really understand, even an ordinary statue can lead you to ultimate experience. When you don’t open up, even if an enlightened being is sitting in front of you, you will be so closed with your own prejudices, with your own ideas, you’ll be sitting and doing something on your own inside your mind.
+ | |||
+ | [17:24] | ||
+ | |||
+ | ‘The one who attains the state of pure knowing and pure experience, such a jin…’ means the person who won, who is winning, ‘...attains the state of kevala jnana - aloneness and transcends all the planes of existence.’
+ | You exist in different levels, different planes. Sometime you exist in the physical plane. Whenever you exist in the physical plane you experience the physical pleasures and physical pains. Whenever you exist in the mental plane you experience the mental pleasures and mental pains.
+ | See for example, if you are more in the mental layer, you will experience more joy in name and fame and you’ll be more afraid of defamation. You’ll not be afraid of the physical pleasures much. You’ll be more bothered about the mental pleasures. And the same way if you are living in subtler planes, your joys, your experiences will be more subtle.
+ | |||
+ | [18:41] | ||
+ | |||
+ | The person who knows the whole thing is just consciousness moving in consciousness… see there is nothing to protect, there is nothing to save, there is nothing to play. Understand this one small truth. It’s like you are a big wave rising in the ocean of consciousness and falling into it. Nothing more than that.
+ | Sometime that wave starts thinking, “No, no, no I have become separate. Now I need to…” either the moment you think that you have become separate, either you want to go back to the source or you want to try to do something for your security. Trying to do something for your security is a outer world game. Trying to go back to the source is an inner world game. But both are games. Because you are not separate from the ocean.
+ | |||
+ | [19:37] | ||
+ | |||
+ | Understand that is what here Mahavira is saying, “You are liberated. You are supposed to be liberated even from the idea of liberation, even from the idea of liberation. You are supposed to transcend the idea of liberation.”
+ | See, first, ignorance is the wave thinking it is separate from the ocean. And the second thing, next step, if the wave is more outworldly, towards the outer world, it starts thinking ‘I should now create a security for me.’ It starts collecting all the bubbles in the beach and feels that is the treasure. It can hold on, feels that it will be secured forever with that stones and pebbles. It goes toward the outer world. That’s what we are doing, collecting few more zeros in our bank balance, thinking that we will be safe and secured forever. The same thing we are doing; this is the movements toward the outer world.
+ | |||
+ | [20:55] | ||
+ | |||
+ | And inner world - Sometime the ocean [wave] starts thinking, “Tsk. I should go back to my source, connect myself with the ocean and achieve the enlightenment.” And it starts thinking it should try to do something specially to connect. You don’t need to do anything because you are never separated. All you need to do is renounce the idea you are separated. Understand the truth you are one. You are already one with the ocean. You are already one with the consciousness. You are already one with the truth. Whether you are raising, or in the peak or falling, you are inside the ocean. You are never separated.
+ | |||
+ | [21:47] | ||
+ | Understand whether you are sick or healthy, whether you are depressed or joyful, whether you are living or dead, of course, I don’t think anybody here is dead 😀 Anyhow whether you are going through life or death, whether you are sick or healthy, whether you are joyful or depressed, you are inside the ocean. Some fishes may swim against the current, some fishes go with the current. Whether you go with the current or against the current, you are in ocean. You are inside the water. So whether you realize you are enlightened or you don’t realize you are enlightened, you are enlightened.

+ | Whether you experience it or not, whether you realize it or not, the true state you are enlightened. All you need to do is reclaim. Even if you don’t reclaim it will be there. That’s all. You don’t even have to put pressure on yourself ‘I have to reclaim, and express my enlightenment.’ Just know you have abundance. Simply you will start expressing it. Just relax, you have enlightenment. Whether you realize or not you are connected to that ocean. You can’t exist as an island even for a moment. You can’t exist as an individual even for a second. You can’t exist… you can’t exist separate. You can’t exist away from the truth even while you think you are away from it.
+ | The truth of pure knowing, the truth of pure experience descends on you once you understand you raise in the ocean, you will live inside the ocean and you relax into the ocean. People come and ask Me, “Swamiji, all these great things are okay, I understand. But unless I experience it, will I not go through the suffering, pain, when I leave the body, when I die. It should all become an experience in me.” I tell you this very understanding is so powerful it will transform the quality of suffering. It will transform the quality of your pain.
+ | |||
+ | [02:07] | ||
+ | |||
+ | If you don’t have these understandings all your sufferings will lead to more and more sufferings. If you have this understanding all your sufferings will trigger this understanding; it will not lead to more and more understanding. That is the greatness of satya. Understand you will never be the same again after listening to these truths. You will never be the same again without these truths in your life when pains and suffering come you will try to escape from it. By, just by trying to escape you will create more and more clutches and pains and suffering towards you. With this knowledge they will not trigger the mechanism of escaping, they will trigger the mechanism of accepting, surrendering the truth. That is the greatness of this knowledge. Anybody who has heard the truth even if he does not experience in his life, even if he has not experienced, just heard it sincerely, felt connected with it whenever he goes through a suffering only the truth is triggered. Only these high ideals are triggered in him. He starts moving towards these great things, not towards the ordinary mundane things of escaping or creating more and more clutches.
+ | |||
+ | [03:50] | ||
+ | |||
+ | The greatness of these truths is even suffering or pain is used as a bridge as a technique to achieve the higher states of consciousness, higher states of enlightenment. Remember this only one thing whether you believe it or not you are in the ocean. You have never become separate, you are never away from the ocean, you are never away from the consciousness. I can add any number of words but I do not want to leave you with My words. I want to leave you with Mahavira’s words. He is so perfect, he has expressed it so clearly even after 2500 years I can’t develop it. We can’t add few morewords to it. He is so clear, that’s the reason I feel at loss. I can’t comment, I can’t add. He is so pure, so clear there is nothing much to explain, there is nothing much to comment. All we can do, repeat those words with reverence and respect and digest those great truths with reverence and respect. And relax into those words with trust and deep devotion. They will work on us.
+ | |||
+ | [05:33] | ||
+ | |||
+ | They will penetrate and do the miracle of transformation inside our being. There is one more beautiful sutra, before ending I just wanted to repeat that sutra and then will end the session. I surrender to the arihantas, I surrender to the siddhas, I surrender to the sadhus, I surrender to the dharma.
+ | arihante saranam pavvajjami
+ | siddhe saranam pavvajjami
+ | sahu saranam pavvajjami
+ | kevali pannattam dhammam saranam pavvajjami
+ | This is called saranagathi sutra. Two thing: if you feel confident, feeling connected when you listen the truth ‘you are ocean’, even when you don’t believe it, you are never separated. Wave is never separated from the ocean. If you feel connected to this truth, beautiful just live it. If you feel that is too much you are not able to really feel connected to those words then catch this truth surrendering.
+ | |||
+ | [07:08] | ||
+ | |||
+ | If you feel connected to the truth then start expressing it. You are already enlightened, nothing else needs to be done. If you feel ‘it is too much’ means you are ego centered, you are not able to feel connected to the truth. Then the technique, method for you is saranagathi. Then surrender to the arihantas, siddhas, sadhus and to the dharma. See, person who is supposed to go in the path of self knowledge, they will feel connected. Something will click in them. The moment they listen the example - ‘the wave is never separated from the ocean’, they will think, ‘Yes, true. Then how can I be separated from my source? I am connected to it.’ Suddenly you will see so many doubts and difficulties which you always carry, relaxes, disappears and you settle down. If that happens in you just live that same peace and the truth express it. If you feel it is yet to happen then surrender is the path for you.
+ | |||
+ | [08:32] | ||
+ | |||
+ | Surrender your body, mind, everything at the feet of the great Masters, surrender to arihantas, surrender to siddhas, surrender to sadhus, surrender to the damma. Actually, at least our disciples, you would have heard always lot of words from Me. So you may be thinking now also I should add more and more words. But I feel adding more and more words may not help at least with these great sutras. With these great sutras, the very sutras are more powerful; so straight, so beautiful, all you need to do is carry one understanding, that itself will help you. That itself will liberate you. That will do what has to be done. If I leave you with too many words and techniques you will not carry even a single word inside your being. You will not carry even a single truth inside your being. You will not allow anything to work on you. So, now I want to leave you with one truth, one great truth, an understanding - whether you understand or not, whether you believe it or not, whether you experience it or not, you are never away from your source.
+ | |||
+ | [10:00] | ||
+ | |||
+ | Wave is never disconnected from the ocean, it is always connected. So, whether you believe it or not, understand it or not, experience it or not, you are enlightened. Just carry this one truth and express your enlightenment. Whatever way you can express your enlightenment in your life, express this truth. When you relax and trust that you are connected to your source. Suddenly you will see all your insecurity, fear, greed which comes out of fear, everything disappears. And you start living totally different kind of a life with a different understanding.
+ | So, all Mahavir wants to happen is that transformation. All these sutras are given to us for that transformation. Let that transformation happen in you all. That transformation is the root. That transformation is the base for everything. So, here I leave you with less words but with one great truth. Understand, I can say more and more words but your minds are habituated to sit and listen more and more words but never practice. The more words you listen, you feel a kind of a satisfaction you did what has supposed to .. what you are supposed to do. You feel kind of a satisfaction that whatever has to happen has happened. Now you don't need to do anything. You go with a feeling, “oh everything is over.”
+ | |||
+ | [12:08] | ||
+ | |||
+ | But I tell you, just the words are not going to enough. That is the reason now I am going to end without giving you much words. Giving you one simple truth so that this truth will work on you. See, only when you feel that if I speak as usual for hours the end of the discourse, “Oh, Swamiji spoke beautifully. He spoke well.” You will be talking but you will never allow these truths to work on you. If I leave with this one truth, the truth will be just working on you constantly. You will be thinking why he finished with this one word? What must be the reason? So, that gap is enough for Me and this truth to work on you. Understand I do not want to load you with too many words. I have done that for last six days. You heard enough. Now it is time you contemplate on this one truth, on this one word - ‘Whether you understand or not, experience it or not, believe it or not you are connected to your source. The wave is connected to the ocean. You are enlightened.’
+ | |||
+ | [13:40] | ||
+ | |||
+ | Maybe we will take few minutes just sit with closed eyes with this one truth then we will enter into the meditation. Before entering into the meditation just sit for few minutes with this great truth. Let it work on you. Contemplate on this one truth just for two minutes. Please close your eyes. Remember, contemplate this one truth ‘You are enlightened’. Allow your mind to bring all controversial thoughts. If your mind does not accept, if your mind says ‘no it’s okay’, allow all the thoughts to come up. Even if your mind does not accept you are enlightened, you are not going to lose it by your mind not accepting it. So, even if your mind says ‘no’ it’s okay. Just sit with this one truth.
+ | -- meditation in process--

+ | [19:02] | ||
+ | |||
+ | Om… We will enter into the nithya dhyan. After the meditation we will end the session with a few great words of Mahavir. We will repeat those words and offer our respects then end the session. This mediation is a half an hour technique I think we did yesterday. Today I will explain, I will just give the instruction. If you think you will not have time or if you are not interested you can leave the hall. Others please get ready. We will start the meditation.
+ | [20:29] | ||
+ | |||
+ | Please understand it is a five step:
+ | First step - sitting in vajrasana and chaotic breathing, intense breathing.
+ | Second step - intense humming.
+ | Third step - putting your awareness on every energy center.
+ | Fourth step - just sitting unclutched without allowing any chain of thoughts formation and
+ | Fifth step - sitting with a deep prayerful mood.
+ | |||
+ | [21:06] | ||
+ | |||
+ | Understand | ||
+ | First step - let your whole being become breathing.
+ | Second step - let your whole being become humming.
+ | Third step - let your whole being become an awareness in every energy center.
+ | Fourth step - let your whole being become just awareness, no thought, not pointed or directed towards anything.
+ | Fifth step - just deep feeling connection with existence.
+ | With a deep prayerful mood sit. Please close your eyes.
+ | -- meditation nithya dhyaan in process--
+ | |||
+ | [22:30] | ||
+ | |||
+ | Carry this one truth, this one message - ‘You are always connected to the source. Wave is never away from ocean. You are enlightened.’ Let you carry this one truth, let this one truth work on you and lead you to awakening. Let you all be awakened. Let us offer our gratitude to all the great Masters, to Mahavira through this saranagathi sutra and namokar mantra.

+ | We thank with our gratitude and with our heartfelt gratitude the Jain center and the association and the committee which runs this whole temple and organization for making this whole thing possible. And all the volunteers and all the devotees who worked for the success of this program. And all the devotees who came here and heard these great sutras all these six days we thank with our claps to Jain association and Jain center for making this whole thing possible.
+ | So, essence of the Jain sutras is your awakening, you are never away from the source, you are enlightened. Carry this one truth even if your mind does not agree, don't try to convince your mind. Just carry this truth. Simply you will see this truth expresses itself in your body through your mind. Let you all radiate eternal bliss nithya ananda. Thank you.

+ | Health does not mean clinically all right. No. Sometimes you are clinically all right. You don't have a disease but you don't feel healthy. Health means a positive well-being. When you wake up early morning, your steps from your bed to bathroom should be more like a dance, not just steps. Then you are healthy…. That’s the definition of health…. When you are alone, especially in the early morning, if you radiate that so much of health, so much of wellbeing, then you are healthy. See, many times we have a big smile when we are with people and we show we are healthy but if you feel healthy when you are inside your room, when you don't have anybody around you, then you are healthy. Where you don't need to show you are healthy. Yes.....
+ | |||
+ | (01:27) | ||
+ | |||
+ | Q: Before, You were going to speak about chakras.
+ | Swamiji: Oh, yes. Sorry I…. because again the chakra is also a big subject…. I spent nine years in doing research on the energy centres with various techniques from various traditions and masters and dived deep into the… how emotions are connected to the chakras. For example, worrying is directly connected to navel centre. If you are loaded with suffering or worrying, first thing you will experience is stomach upset or feeling like vomiting because your navel is directly connected to worrying. How the emotions are connected directly to the chakras and how we can work through meditation techniques to expand. I have designed many programs also based on this Chakra science. Maybe this meditation which we will do will help a lot. Let's work on it instead of talking about it.
+ | |||
+ | (02:50) | ||
+ | |||
+ | Q: Swamiji, can You talk about what chakra is related to addiction?
+ | Swamiji: Swadhisthana, Hara centre - below the navel. That chakra is below the navel, above the Muladhara, root centre. That is related to addiction. That is where you store the engrams, samskaras. So that is related to addiction- Hara centre.
+ | |||
+ | (03:19) | ||
+ | |||
+ | Q: What age did you start your practice? Were are you a small child?
+ | Swamiji: Yes, at the age of three I started the yoga practice.
+ | Q: I am wondering how You feel it affected Your spiritual development?
+ | Swamiji: At the age of three I started. It has really helped Me a lot. Because of the yoga practice only, I never have to think about My body. I was able to do anything I want in My spiritual practice without bothering about the body and it has really helped Me a lot to keep Myself away from the body consciousness. Till the age of thirteen, I was practicing. After thirteen I stopped practicing. Thirteen, 13.
+ | |||
+ | (04:10) | ||
+ | |||
+ | Q: That’s when You ended?
+ | Swamiji: Yes, I ended.
+ | Q: You began at three? | ||
+ | Swamiji: Yes, from 3 to 13.
+ | Q: What form were You practicing? Was it Hatha Yoga?
+ | |||
+ | (04:20) | ||
+ | |||
+ | Swamiji: Yes, Hatha yoga and Patanjali yoga. The person who taught me is a master. He used to levitate and he used to materialize. He is a master in this science. He is a great yogi. I have never seen him eating or drinking. I lived ten years around him. I have never seen him eating or drinking. I don't know how you will be able to believe but let Me be honest with truth. Sometime I will tell him, “Please eat little bit Baba.” Baba means father. That is the way we address. Just for My satisfaction he will try to put little bit and he will turn the mouth and vomit that also, throw that also away and I have never seen him eating or drinking. He says only animals should eat and drink. Why should we?
+ | |||
+ | (05:21) | ||
+ | |||
+ | Q: What do You recommend for children now when they start yoga? Because the meditation is hard for them.
+ | Swamiji: Little bit of yoga and little meditation. Meditation should not be separated from yoga. At least little meditation is necessary because the purpose of yoga itself to achieve meditation. It’s not just health. It is a ultimate health. It is curing the Samsara roga means the disease of birth and death.
+ | |||
+ | (05:56) | ||
+ | |||
+ | Q: Could you talk a bit about Patanjali?
+ | Swamiji: Patanjali? Patanjali is a…he is the father of yoga system. He is the… I can say, he is like a inner scientist. See, till Patanjali, Enlightenment was like a accident. It's like a… you have to try so many things. Something may click, that's all but only Patanjali created a Enlightenment as a clear science like a step by step. Do this: one, two, three. You will see this and you will achieve this. You will become enlightened. He made this like a clear science. Patanjali is like a spiritual navigator. How a navigator gives you a clear idea, Patanjali is just like a spiritual navigator means the first and last person who made spirituality as a science- a very logical, clear cut…you can sue him actually. Only he is powerful. Only he is capable. He is courageous to give guarantee. He says, “Do it or sue me.” Only Patanjali can give that guarantee. So clear and so sharp. Nobody else can be so sure of the effects and side effects and all the possibilities of Enlightenment.
+ | |||
+ | (07:30) | ||
+ | |||
+ | Q: Because an animal can be trained does that mean they are conscious?
+ | Swamiji: Their conscience grow…. grows, not conscious. Conscience is different. Consciousness is different. They may be obeying your orders by your training but they don't grow consciously. For conscious growth, only human being, human body… in human body only conscious growth is possible. It's only by human being it is possible.
+ | |||
+ | (08:02) | ||
+ | |||
+ | Q: Do we affect animals?
+ | Swamiji: Of course, we harass and disturb enough by keeping them as pets, in the name of pet. Because we can't love human beings and we feel lonely, we keep them and do whatever way we want to do for them. Just imagine, if higher level beings catch us as pets and do whatever we do to our pets, will we agree? Then? But we are doing. If they also tie a rope and give us food in right time and give us a small bathroom and they will do whatever we do to our pets.
+ | |||
+ | (08:57) | ||
+ | |||
+ | Q: Swamiji, can you talk about a vegetarian diet and what happens when people eat meat?
+ | Swamiji: I do not want to associate this vegetarian food and the morality or the spiritual ideologies. I feel, based on My experiment, vegetarian food helps for spiritual growth to be more sensitive, to be more energetic. That's all is My experience but otherwise, I don't want to associate the vegetarianism with the morality or ideologies. It’s like a... people will suffer too much with the guilt. See, try to have vegetarian food if you feel connected to the idea. Otherwise forget about what you are eating. Just enjoy…. Don't carry too much guilt because people who eat non-veg without guilt, they eat and forget. People who eat with guilt, they eat only fifteen minutes a day and remember that they have eaten non-veg whole day and suffer. Better to avoid guilt and suffering.
+ | |||
+ | (10:11) | ||
+ | |||
+ | Q: In meditation, sometimes my body goes into different positions my head goes back. Why is that?
+ | Swamiji: Means that it is automatically taking the asana, yoga posture in which you are supposed to feel the high Consciousness. See, all the asanas are created by Enlightened Beings allowing their body to take the natural shape in that high Consciousness. If you, for example there is a asana are called machasana. There was a person called Machamuni. He became enlightened. When he became enlightened his body took that shape automatically. Siddhasana means same way, when some Siddha became enlightened, his body took that shape automatically. So means your…your body… your body intelligence is now awakened and it is guided by itself. Allow it.
+ | |||
+ | (11:10) | ||
+ | |||
+ | Q: Can a person ever be too sensitive or care too much?
+ | Swamiji: There is nothing like too much sensitivity or caring too much. How much you care, it is going to be less only. So the idea that I'm too sensitive or too caring, all those things are just…you create your own idea with the comparisons. So, it’s nothing like that too sensitive. Whatever you think as too much is only too less.
+ | |||
+ | (11:42) | ||
+ | |||
+ | Q: In my life I have been very fortunate to spend some time in large groups of people meditating and they are the most blissful experiences.
+ | Swamiji: Group meditations are always powerful and very energetic. Even if you don't have the mood, you will be taken to that space.
+ | |||
+ | (12:01) | ||
+ | |||
+ | Q: My question is, in the future are we going to see more of that for the world? Because I understand it has a very purifying effect for the world.
+ | Swamiji: Group meditations are going to create more effect and Planet Earth is going to have more group meditation groups everywhere. Let Me tell you one simple thing. In one part of My native place, in that state, recently we had a group meditation and the fire ritual means, offering the fire homa, Yagna we had. Two days program, it was a two days program and there was a fever called chikungunya. You all heard about that? Not bird flu. This is worse than that! All over that state in which I am born and brought up, it is called Tamilnadu State. In that state, it has started spreading very wildly. So all our devotees are staying in that state, all of them came and requested Me, “Swamiji, can we do something about it?” I said, “We will do.”
+ | |||
+ | (13:08) | ||
+ | |||
+ | We had a two days meditation program. Around 10,000 people participated. I said, ”By the end of the program, within the third day, means, two days program, the third day. Before the third day, the patients getting admitted in the hospital will be reduced to 10%.” I said in public before starting the program and people were laughing, “How can that be, Swamiji? In two days how will it drop to 10%? From 100 % to 10%?” I said, “You will see the power of this positive energy” and it dropped to 8% and never rised again. Never raised again! Now over, seven months over. Never raised, just disappeared and it was spreading wildly. Wildly and just dropped to 8%. If there is everyday one thousand patients are entering into the hospital for the treatment, it just became eighty. Just 8% it dropped in two days.
+ | |||
+ | (14:22) | ||
+ | |||
+ | Understand the power and there is no other reason why suddenly it should drop but in other parts of the country it is not dropped. It didn't drop. Only in that area. I said, “This area will be filled” and simply it dropped. Then the other parts they came and invited, the other state, near state. It is called Pondicherry. There also our brahmacharis, our swamis went and did. Sudden drop, same way. Same way the drastic drop in the chikungunya patients. How will you explain?
+ | |||
+ | (15:03) | ||
+ | |||
+ | Q: Once a physical state has been reached, a brain injury or a stroke, something that causes a physical effect on the body, can the physical effect be reversed if the person is and cured in that consciousness?
+ | Swamiji: The physical facts can be.... it is possible to reverse if he knows how to release that anger and violence away. Catharsis is the best way. The meditation techniques which helps you to release, you see, the anger or violence is inside because of our unfulfilled engrams which you bring from the animal bodies. When we were in the animal bodies, we may be carrying some engrams which we have not completed it. So, again becoming that animal and releasing those engrams is a powerful technique used in the Vedic tradition.
+ | |||
+ | (16:05) | ||
+ | |||
+ | They will calculate your horoscope. They will see your horoscope means the...... What is the word you use here? Astrology. They will see the horoscope and based on that they will tell you which animal samskara you are carrying too much. So, you are supposed to visualise that animal, that you have become that animal for a few hours and release your violence and anger and everything just like that animal. Suddenly you will see so much of purity and peace has happened to you and so much of negativity has left you. Before initiating people into the meditation or brahmacharya, the sanyas, we make them do this meditation to release the engrams or the samskaras which they carry unconsciously. Maybe that will be the best thing to reverse the... this kind of a deeper effects on the body.
+ | |||
+ | (17:11) | ||
+ | |||
+ | Q: Where I am not understanding is why we are going in the worse direction rather than the better direction? Why are we destroying the planet?
+ | Swamiji: I don't… I don't think we are really going worse if you see the population growth and the percentage of people who are taking spiritual ideologies. See, one thing, wisdom and everything is okay but how many people you think are inspired or practicing these great truths? See the number of people who are practicing proportionate to the population we have. So we can't blame that we have not achieved at all. It is supposed to be, you see, wisdom was there in the Eastern side. It is all true but it’s not that all Indians are meditating, all Indians are sitting all the time towards Enlightenment. No. It is a wrong concept. No. They are also only a small percentage is meditating. So how many have accepted those great truths? How many are following? So if you see in that way, wisdom has really contributed to planet earth in a big way. Yes...
+ | |||
+ | (18:30) | ||
+ | |||
+ | Q: What do You think is the link between Economics and the desire for spirituality?
+ | Swamiji: See, Economics is beautiful. Economics is beautiful. Economics means what? Having infrastructure for your body. Having infrastructure like a house or medical care or whatever is needed for your body is beautiful. See, Economics adds years to your life; spirituality adds life to your years. So it is good to have infrastructure. I don't say don't have infrastructure. Beautiful, but along with the infrastructure, have a beautiful software also inside. See, it’s fight between the infrastructure and the software. So, I think it is time we can have both. When you are in this country, you have the best infrastructure and now the best software is available and another one thing, available for free. Just start using the new software. You will be the complete human being. And one more thing, one more beautiful thing, in the East we always believe knowledge is free. Software Is available. Just upload and use.

+ | Nine years during My research means the wandering. I wandered length and breadth of India. At least 10,000 miles I walked. Traditionally we are supposed to walk and we see village to village and sit at the feet of many masters and learn. So your life is enriched. You learn from various dimensions. It’s like a each master would have done research and development in particular direction. When you sit at his feet and learn, you will learn the whole thing in few months. The whole experience is transmitted to you in few months. So like this you go round and learn. I had the fortune to be spending, to spend nine years in My search. Throughout that nine years, I did not work. I was supported by the Indian villages. I was given food, clothing, shelter with respect. I was never told I am a homeless. I was given food, shelter, cloth, everything with respect.
+ | |||
+ | (01:24) | ||
+ | They will not give the food after they eat. They will cook and first give it to sadhus. Sadhu means he is a person who is wandering like this and studying, seeking. They will give it to him. Only then they will eat. Sometimes you will be surprised to see the hospitality for no reason in the villages of India…. You will see miracles everyday. Miracles are not something strange for us. People getting Darshan, Vision and this materialization- all these things are everyday activity for us... So and throughout that nine years, I did not touch money. Did not touch money and did not store the next meal. That was the two vows you are supposed to take. No question of touching money. No question of keeping the next meal. You are supposed to beg whenever you feel hungry and eat, sleep wherever you feel like. Yes, somebody raised the hand here.

+ | Q: What in Your opinion makes someone a good person?
+ | Swamiji: If you feel good inside, you are good person. That's all. If you just feel good with yourself means, is with the identity which you are showing to the outer world and the Identity which you believe as you, you are a good person. That's all.
+ | (03:07) | ||
− | + | Q: What do You define as bliss?
− | + | Swamiji: Bliss? An intense inspiration or excitement for no reason, not caused by any reason. Just overflowing for no reason is Bliss. There is no reason which makes you overflow. You are just overflowing.

+ | This meditation is five part. Each part is like a five minute. And if you feel next half an hour you will not be able to sit, you can just relax. If you feel like meditating, you can go with this. Let Me describe. The first step will be deep breathing. Inhale and exhale from your Hara center means below the navel. Your navel is supposed to move by your inhaling and exhaling. Literally your whole body will breathe now. Inhale and exhale. This is the first step. Second step: Hum from the Hara center. Humming means hmmm…. intensely. You may ask why. That will take you beyond your inner chattering. It will give you the glimpse of the space where you don't have inner chattering. It will take you above the inner chattering.
− | + | (01:20) | |
+ | |||
+ | Third thing, an important thing: You will put your awareness on every energy center. That music itself will guide you to relax your awareness in the navel center, in the Heart center, just the seven chakras, the seven point can relax. With a…. You don't have to concentrate. Just remember that area. That is enough and the fourth step: Do not create continuously thought chains. Even if it is happening, let it happen. Don't try to fight with it. Don't create, don't maintain, don't destroy. If it happens, let it happen. If it does not, it is ok. Fifth step: Just sit in a relaxed way. You don't have to do anything. If you feel like sit in a prayerful mood, the receptive mood, that is enough.
+ | |||
+ | (02:24) | ||
+ | |||
+ | Let Me repeat. First step: Let your whole being become breathing. Second step: Let your whole awareness be centered on humming. Third step: Let your awareness be centered on every energy center. Step by step, you will be guided. Fourth step: Let you just be aware. Don't create thoughts. Don't support or suppress the thinking process. If it happens, let it. If it does not, it's ok, relax. Fifth step: Sit with a deep prayerful, relaxed mood. You can start. Relax. Please close your eyes. Start breathing intensely and deeply. Inhale and exhale as deeply as possible.

Title:
You are Consciousness
Description:
From the works of Enlightened master Paramahamsa Nithyananda. In this talk Nithyananda describes how the outer world is inside your world. This can happen to you only when you witness and above all just unclutch from your body and mind. Until then, you have created a boundary between you and the world and hence you are separate from the whole. Just unclutch and witness that you are the whole... you are nothing but consciousness. Jain Sutras, Los Angeles, March 2007

now I will enter into their sutras one who does not know the difference between matter and consciousness as long as you think you are a body you can't escape from the pleasures of the physical world see when you think you are mature naturally the small small attachments like a Thai Barbie doll all these things disappears they are matured even if you try to renounce the ties you may renounce basically but you will be thinking about it same way till you experience your consciousness you can't renounce the physical pleasures even if you renounce you will be mentally thinking about it the one who does not know the difference between matter and consciousness won't be able to practice restraint only when you experience you are a conscious being understand you are not human being having spiritual experience you are spiritual being having human experience it is the other way you are not human being having spiritual experience you are spiritual being having human experience so only when you understand the truth you are a spiritual being having human experience suddenly you will see the outside world are the pleasures of the world is not attracting you at all it's not affecting me anymore you are just beyond all these things you are just living in a different space the one who sees everything as moments in consciousness he transcends sin and merit bondage and liberation this is the essence this Sutra is the essence the one who sees everything as movements in consciousness you are in consciousness and you are consciousness just consciousness is moving inside the consciousness understand there is no matter there is no Dada there is no outer world the outer world also is inside your consciousness this can happen to you when you start witnessing when you start constantly witnessing whatever happens inside and outside suddenly you will see all movements whatever is happening including you is just part of your own consciousness but you think as you what do you think this world whatever you think as the outer world and the other person everything is just movements in consciousness this can happen to you when you witness above all when you unclutch from your body and mind see Isilon this you connect with your body and mind you create a boundary between you and the world you and the whole when you unclutch suddenly that boundary disappears you are no more separate from the whole you are no more separate from the truth you are no more separate from the reality you are just filled with the same thing see the body will be there as a body as long as you give the name for it the moment the name disappears from you it remains in you as just an experience without the so-called words or the qualities associated with it you will see in reality it is the same see the power which runs your body is only is running the Sun and the moon the force which is working inside you is the same force running the solar system running the whole world if something is happening inside your body if directly affects the Sun and the moon you will realize you are not an island as you think you are not an island as you believe your belief that you are an island is too small it's like in a big ocean a small straw is floating piece of straw is floating piece of straw is too small to make the ocean into two piece same way your ignorant is too small to take away your enlightenment understand this important truth your ignorant is too small to take away your enlightenment you are fortunate your enlightenment is more strong more powerful than your ignorance that is why the enlightenment is possible that is so it is possible your ignorant is too small to cover you or to make you into to pond who sees everything has moments and consciousness whichever divides you into pieces just drop as long as you carry I the idea you will be there the idea of other there the moment you relax from the eye the idea of other will disappear as long as you connect all your thoughts and see the things with your own ideas you will see the outer world separate but I tell you once you unclutch from your body and mind the one who sees everything as movements in consciousness you will start seeing everything as movements in consciousness he transcends sin and merit bondage and liberation you don't even ask for liberation understand you transcend liberation now whatever you think as liberation even that is an idea I always tell people unclutch even from your idea of liberation you will be liberated otherwise you will have an idea if I am liberated I should be like this and you will try to fulfill that idea and never feel liberated liberation means there is nothing that you should be like that or like this no you should feel intensely and clearly you are liberated that's all you are nothing to achieve you are free that can happen to your being that can happen to your soul only when you liberate yourself even from the idea of liberation the one who sees everything as moments in consciousness for example when you look at this rose you create a word rose in your mind and start thinking all ideas which you have about roses means the idea is connected to the roses and all the roses which you presented to somebody and all the roses presented to you some idea some connection how that person responded how you responded slowly in few seconds you are away from the Rose you are no more connected to Rose anything in the world you can see the moment you see words are created you are away from the reality you are now in your own dream world in your own dreams seeing but not creating a word and directly trying to connect just like kids tickets will not know the word but you see when kids they see something their whole being sees it as if they are enjoying it as if they are living it so see without using the name without using the word then suddenly we see strange thing happening between you and the host the idea are the boundary that you are separate from the Rose will slowly disappear you will feel like you are just slowly become one with the Rose because the boundary is disappearing because then boundary is disappearing you are becoming one with the reality you are becoming one with the truth you are becoming on with Satya suddenly you will see you feel so deeply connected to Rose when you see the Rose without word the same way with anything with a tree with a person it's a situation always you have a prejudice if you drop your prejudice and see for example particular situation if you think that you should be depressed usually you respond only as a depression in a depressed way to that situation and the situation arises you will see that you will be depressed no other way no that way so whoever is connected to something to the things of the outer world in a particular way we call this as a psychodrama if you are prepared if you are given the dialogue of depression at a particular moment you will repeat the same mood same dialogue throughout your life when that kind of situations arise in you so the whole life is nothing but psychodrama selected dialogues and psychodrama person who understands everything has moments in consciousness there's a beautiful Zen story one disciple goes to master and as master you became a master please guide me also how to become a master master says who said I have became a master know I am a master because you want to be a disciple as long as you are doing the you are playing the role of a disciple I'll be in the seat of the master the moment you are no more a disciple I will not be a master anymore disciple has shocked is how can it be master says yes only when you want to see a guru you will see guru in me for example it's not that all the people who see The Awakening Part 1
Description:
All great scriptures share the same motive -- to awaken man to his true nature; to awaken him to the divinity within; to awaken him to the inner bliss that is trying to express every minute. The Jain sutras is yet another scriptural extravaganza that has been delivered for this purpose. Paramahamsa Nithyananda, who is on a mission to re-establish the science of inner bliss on planet Earth, brings these sutras to the modern day man with a stirring current that jolts one out of the mire of delusion into the purity of one's true nature.

I welcome you all with My love and respects. The today’s subject is The Awakening, awakening to the truth, enlightenment, reality. Awakening yourself to your consciousness. Before entering into the sutras I’ll just answer the questions from devotees about the yesterday’s discourse. Question: In Vedic times there was no divorce but men could burn… Sorry I am not able to read .. but their wives Rama did Ramayana and sent them away what requests wife in an abusive, violent marriage. Is not divorce better than being burnt? Answer: I don’t think Rama burnt Sita.
[04:13]
Question: Nowadays person selects his own spouse at the age of 20-35 he still makes a lot of mistake. Would not You advocate a person selecting his religion whether Jainism, Buddhism, Islam or Christianity at a mature age of twenty plus after, he has a chance to explore all of them. Answer: Oh God.
[06:01]
Question: Guruji, it appears most of your life so far outside this materialistic world. Being in outside, how did You learn reading and writing and speaking so fluently? Please excuse me if my question does not make sense. Answer: To tell you the truth no question makes sense.
[07:24]
Question: What is qualifications to be called Paramahamsa? Answer: You are supposed to be in complete bliss and experiencing the total freedom. That is the qualification for Paramahamsa.
[07:56]
Question: Your discourses of last four days has brought major suffering for me because my wife expects me to be a married Paramahamsa. (laughter) Can You help a person like me? Answer: I am here to help only you.
[09:26]
Now we’ll enter into the sutras. You see, a casual visitor can feel connected to Gita, because it's more for a mass, but these great sutras of Mahavira is not for mass; it is for a sincere seekers.
[11:11]
joji veve najjane aji veve najaanaye jeeva jeeve ayannanto kahamsonnayi sanchamam joji veve vinayayyi aje vevi vinayayi jeeva jeeve viyananto sohu nahi sanchamam -12:14 Swamiji chanting
[12:15]
This is the… I can say punch line. This is the essence of this whole thing, where they are ending the sutra by saying even liberation is useless. Understand. There is no other Master who is so courageous, so powerful. Understand the last statement Jay divye jeya manuse Even the liberation is useless.
[13:52]
This is the punch line.
[15:01]
Actually when you are liberated from the concept of liberation you experience true liberation, otherwise the concept of liberation is the best way to bind you.
[15:54]
With Mahavira even that mistake can’t happen. Mahavira’s power, Mahavira’s intelligence and his ability to create the sutras in such a beautiful way, you’ll be surprised.
[17:31]
Let us enter into the truth one by one.
[18:49]
See, there is a two thing in your being, one is consciousness, your Anma, enlightened energy, soul. The other is the matter, your body. There is something called chit jada granthi, means the matter and consciousness, chit and jada, is connected, like a knot. We call that as a chit jada granthi. This connection, this connection only is called ignorance. This connection only is called the cause for maya. One important thing, if you look little deep and try to find out where it is connected, you will see it is not connected at all. When you are superficially looking now you will feel as if your soul and your body is connected. That is why your body is functioning. But if you look inside and see where it is connected, both of them are never connected, you will realize you are liberated.
[20:08]
It’s like a… understand this one example.
[20:56]
Same way here, when you look deeply into the chit jada granthi where the consciousness and matter-jada is connected, suddenly you will realize it was never bound, it was never connected. The beauty of Mahavira is he’s a pure truth, 24 karat gold. You can’t add any stories or jokes or any examples to him, because any joke added, any story added, any example added will dilute the truth. That is why I am not using many examples. Because many time these so-called commentators spoil the whole truth. People sometime feel the original sutras are more…

I do not want that mistake to happen. That is why I am not using any examples. I am not using any stories. I am not using any other references. He’s so clear. If you understand or try to look where the chit and jada is binding each other, touching each other, getting knotted, you’ll suddenly see you are free by your nature. There is no knot. Small announcement: some illegal car parkings on the outside parking lot, getting tickets. They need to go and check please. You may get liberation from liberation, but not from tickets in this country.
[02:08]
See, whatever you may think or do, life has to run based on certain principles.
[03:26]
They do not … you… you die in a normal way, like a -- your soul leaves the body and body goes through a suffering and your mind is feeling miserable because you did not fulfill something, you did not do what you want to do and you did something which you don’t want to do. The fear and greed and everything comes up. You go through suffering and leave the body. But with enlightened beings there is nothing called, fear or greed or suffering. So, you can’t call their death as your death. There is a law of life.
[05:27]
Now all you need to do is the same thing.
[06:30]
‘One who does not know the difference between matter and consciousness’ As long as you think you are a body, you can’t escape from the pleasures of the physical world. See, when you think you are mature, naturally the small, small attachments like a toy, barbie doll, all these things disappears. Till you are matured, even if you try to renounce the toys, you may renounce physically but you will be thinking about it. Same way, till you experience your consciousness, you can’t renounce the physical pleasures. Even if you renounce you will be mentally thinking about it. ‘The one who does not know the difference between matter and consciousness won’t be able to practice restraint.’ Only when you experience you are a conscious being, understand, you are not human being having spiritual experience, you are spiritual being having human experience. It is the other way. You are not human being having spiritual experience, you are a spiritual being having human experience. So only when you understand the truth, you are a spiritual being having human experience, suddenly you will see the outside world or the pleasures of the world is not attracting you at all. It’s not affecting you any more. You are just beyond all these things. You are just living in a different space.
[08:27]
‘The one who sees everything as movements in consciousness, he transcends sin and merit, bondage and liberation’ - this is the essence.
[09:57]
This can happen to you when you witness, above all, when you unclutch from your body and mind.
[11:05]
See the power which runs your body is only is running the sun and the moon. The force which is working inside you is the same force running the solar system, running the whole world.
[12:11]
You are fortunate your enlightenment is more strong, more powerful than your ignorance. That is why the enlightenment is possible. That is why it is possible. Your ignorance is too small to cover you or to make you into two. ‘One who sees everything as movements in consciousness’, Whichever divides you into pieces, just drop. As long as you as carry “I” the idea “you” will be there, the idea of “other” will be there. The moment you relax from the “I” the idea of “other” will disappear. As long as you connect all your thoughts and see the things with your own ideas, you will see the outer world separate. Now whatever you think as liberation even that is an idea. I always tell people unclutch even from your idea of liberation, you will be liberated. Otherwise you will have an idea, “if I am liberated I should be like this”, and you will try to fulfill that idea and never feel liberated.
[14:05]
Liberation means there is nothing that you should be like that or like this. No. You should feel intensely and clearly you are liberated. That’s all. You have nothing to achieve. You are free. That can happen to your being, that can happen to your soul only when you liberate yourself even from the idea of liberation. ‘The one who sees everything as movements in consciousness.’ For example, when you look at this rose you create a word ‘rose’ in your mind and start thinking all ideas which you have about roses, means the ideas connected to the roses and all the roses which you presented to somebody and all the roses presented to you. Some idea, some connection how that person responded, how you responded, slowly in few seconds, you’re away from the rose. You are no more connected to rose. Anything in the world you can see, the moment you see, words are created, you are away from the reality. You are now in your own dream world, in your own dreams.
[15:39]
Seeing, but not creating a word, and directly trying to connect, just like kids… See kids will not know the word.
[16:47]
Same way with anything.
[17:55]
‘Person who understands everything as movements in consciousness’ There's a beautiful Zen story. One disciple goes to Master and asks, “Master, you have become a Master. Please guide me also how to become a Master.” Master says, “Who said I have become a Master?
[18:45]
For example, it’s not that all the people who see Me on the road, they all feel My presence or energy. No. Only a person who needs, who wants, he feels connected. So, including your experience, everything is part of the great psychodrama being played here. Understand.
[20:46]
You are also going to settle down into that same ocean. I am also going to settle down into the same ocean. Even if you don’t want, you will fall only in that same ocean. The wave when it raises, when it is in its peak height and when it falls, in all three times it is directly connected to ocean. It can’t be away from ocean. It can never be separated from ocean. Even if the wave thinks it is become separate from ocean and it has to get liberation, it has to reconnect itself to source and ocean… even if you think you are separated from the ocean, you are connected to ocean.
[21:30]
Same way, even if you believe you are in bondage, you have not achieved liberation, please be very clear you are never bound. You are eternally liberated. You are connected to the source. You are connected to the ocean. You are filled with energy. Person who understands everything is movements in consciousness, whether you or Me… You are like a wave in the ocean. You rise in it, you go to the peak height in it, fall inside it. That’s all. There’s no other difference. There’s no other thing. ‘The one who sees everything as movements in consciousness, he transcends sin and merit, bondage and liberation. The one who transcends sin and merit, bondage and liberation he understands the futility of sins and joy…

…and renounces them completely. When you understand the sin and merit, bondage and freedom, it’s not that you need to renounce the sense enjoyments. Sense enjoyments will renounce you. They will understand you are useless for them and they will renounce you. You renouncing smoking will not help because you may get it, you may bring it back again.
[01:23]
‘The one who renounces, also renounces everything in the inner world and the outer world. The one who renounces, also renounces the inner and outer world.’ Understand. The… it is continuity from earlier sutra. The one who renounces the sense enjoyment, which is mentioned earlier, also renounces all attachments in the inner and outer worlds. Such a person then receives initiation from the superior one, means the Master and attains the state of a Muni, the state where he does not consider this world, this world as his home and wants to enter into the other world. When he attains the state of a Muni he gets a glimpse of true dharma. Understand.
[02:21]
Now, the sutras are explaining about the state of enlightenment and how you live in it. The one who renounces the sense enjoyment also renounces all the attachments in inner and outer worlds. The inner world also you are not supposed to have any attachments. You are supposed to be experiencing the truth even beyond the inner world, as opposed to Dharma. ‘If you understand the attachments are opposed to dharma in the inner and outer world, such a person then is initiated.’ Initiated means the experience is transmitted from Master to him. ‘The transmission of the ultimate experience happens and he attains the state of a Muni. He attains the state of enlightened one, siddha, the ultimate pure consciousness.’ ‘Once he gets the glimpse of the truth, dharma, he removes the veil of ignorance which surrounds his true self. Once the veil of ignorance is removed, he attains completely the state of pure knowing, kevala jnana and pure darshan kevala darshan, the pure enlightenment. This whole sutra, moksha marga sutra is all about enlightenment and the ultimate state. It’s a beautiful sutra. And the next few sutras are also connected.
[04:11]
‘The one who attains the state of pure knowing and pure experience, such a jin, means the person who has conquered, attains the state of kevala jnana and transcends all planes of existence.
[04:53]
Beautifully, Mahavir is describing through various words about how the enlightenment is achieved and how you remain in that state. Thank you.
[05:47]
Now let us start the kevala jnana and kevala darshana; the pure knowledge and pure experience. Mahavira says once the veil of ignorance is removed, he attains completely the state of pure knowing and pure experience. Mahavir is describing the process of enlightenment here, through this five, six sutras. ‘The one who sees everything as movements in consciousness, he transcends sins and merit, bondage and liberation.’ ‘The one who transcends sin and merit, bondage and liberation, he understands the futility in sense enjoyment and goes beyond them.’ ‘The one who renounces sense enjoyment also renounces the attachments in the inner and outer worlds. Such a person then receives initiation, means the transmission of energy from a superior one, from the Master and attains the state of a Muni and once he gets a glimpse of the true dharma, he removes the veil of ignorance, which surrounds his true self.’ ‘Once the veil of ignorance is removed he attains completely the state of pure knowing and pure experience.’ ‘One who attains the state of pure knowing and pure experience, such a jin…’ it is the root word for Jain - ‘…attains the state of kevala jnana and transcends all the planes of existence.’ ‘Once he attains the state of kevala jnana, he renounces mind, body and speech and he’s in shanta - stillness.’ ‘Once he attains the state of stillness, he destroys all karmas from their root, and attains the state of a siddha, enlightened one. Once a siddha he remains to be eternally enlightened, siddha eternally.’ See, beautiful, many sutras but actually the whole thing happens in one second. It is not like a step by step, what he’s describing. He’s describing using so many words, the ultimate glimpse, or the ultimate truth, how it happens and how the person is established in enlightenment.
[9:09]
You may think by knowing all these things, what is the direct use? Understand if you deeply connect with the truth of these teachings, feeling connected, this very listening can just transport you to that plane, to that existence. Because there is no other qualification necessary to achieve this reality. As I was telling you, your ignorance is too small to take enlightenment away from you. Your ignorance is too small. You are not so ignorant as you think. Even in ignorance you are not full as you think. Fortunately you are not full even in your ignorance. Your ignorance is not so powerful as you think. It is possible to go beyond. It is possible to work beyond. Just the other day, I went to see one of our devotee, who left the body.
[11:10]
In Bhagavatam there is a beautiful story.
[12:35]
Understand. Enlightened Being may be using a body but your devotion can be more closer to his enlightenment than his very body itself. This truth liberates you. It can guarantee you your enlightenment with just your devotion or feeling connected. See, to whom you are devoted, whether he’s enlightened or not, don’t bother. Just you feeling connected, your trust, your surrender itself is more than enough to give you enlightenment.
[14:16]
Many people come and ask Me, “Swamiji, if I surrender to a statue, surrender to a murti, surrender to a stone, will I become enlightened”? Your intensity is more than enough to liberate you. Even a statue is enough to liberate you. And if you don’t have an intensity, even if God comes in front of you, you will ask for ID card. 😀
[15:57]
In Ramakrishna’s life there’s a beautiful story. What he’s trying to see is sitting in front of him but he’s not able to see.’ Many time when you really open up, when you really understand, even an ordinary statue can lead you to ultimate experience. When you don’t open up, even if an enlightened being is sitting in front of you, you will be so closed with your own prejudices, with your own ideas, you’ll be sitting and doing something on your own inside your mind.
[17:24]
‘The one who attains the state of pure knowing and pure experience, such a jin…’ means the person who won, who is winning, ‘...attains the state of kevala jnana - aloneness and transcends all the planes of existence.’ You exist in different levels, different planes. Sometime you exist in the physical plane. Whenever you exist in the physical plane you experience the physical pleasures and physical pains. Whenever you exist in the mental plane you experience the mental pleasures and mental pains. See for example, if you are more in the mental layer, you will experience more joy in name and fame and you’ll be more afraid of defamation. You’ll not be afraid of the physical pleasures much. You’ll be more bothered about the mental pleasures. And the same way if you are living in subtler planes, your joys, your experiences will be more subtle.
[18:41]
The person who knows the whole thing is just consciousness moving in consciousness… see there is nothing to protect, there is nothing to save, there is nothing to play. Understand this one small truth. It’s like you are a big wave rising in the ocean of consciousness and falling into it. Nothing more than that. Sometime that wave starts thinking, “No, no, no I have become separate. Now I need to…” either the moment you think that you have become separate, either you want to go back to the source or you want to try to do something for your security. Trying to do something for your security is a outer world game. Trying to go back to the source is an inner world game. But both are games. Because you are not separate from the ocean.
[19:37]
Understand that is what here Mahavira is saying, “You are liberated. You are supposed to be liberated even from the idea of liberation, even from the idea of liberation. You are supposed to transcend the idea of liberation.” See, first, ignorance is the wave thinking it is separate from the ocean.
[20:55]
And inner world - Sometime the ocean [wave] starts thinking, “Tsk.
[21:47]
Understand whether you are sick or healthy, whether you are depressed or joyful, whether you are living or dead, of course, I don’t think anybody here is dead 😀 Anyhow whether you are going through life or death, whether you are sick or healthy, whether you are joyful or depressed, you are inside the ocean. Some fishes may swim against the current, some fishes go with the current. Whether you go with the current or against the current, you are in ocean. You are inside the water. So whether you realize you are enlightened or you don’t realize you are enlightened, you are enlightened.

Whether you experience it or not, whether you realize it or not, the true state you are enlightened. The truth of pure knowing, the truth of pure experience descends on you once you understand you raise in the ocean, you will live inside the ocean and you relax into the ocean.
[02:07]
If you don’t have these understandings all your sufferings will lead to more and more sufferings.
[03:50]
The greatness of these truths is even suffering or pain is used as a bridge as a technique to achieve the higher states of consciousness, higher states of enlightenment.
[05:33]
They will penetrate and do the miracle of transformation inside our being. There is one more beautiful sutra, before ending I just wanted to repeat that sutra and then will end the session. I surrender to the arihantas, I surrender to the siddhas, I surrender to the sadhus, I surrender to the dharma. arihante saranam pavvajjami siddhe saranam pavvajjami sahu saranam pavvajjami kevali pannattam dhammam saranam pavvajjami This is called saranagathi sutra.
[07:08]
If you feel connected to the truth then start expressing it.
[08:32]
Surrender your body, mind, everything at the feet of the great Masters, surrender to arihantas, surrender to siddhas, surrender to sadhus, surrender to the damma.
[10:00]
Wave is never disconnected from the ocean, it is always connected. So, all Mahavir wants to happen is that transformation.
[12:08]
But I tell you, just the words are not going to enough.
[13:40]
Maybe we will take few minutes just sit with closed eyes with this one truth then we will enter into the meditation. -- meditation in process--
[19:02]
Om… We will enter into the nithya dhyan.
[20:29]
Please understand it is a five step: First step - sitting in vajrasana and chaotic breathing, intense breathing. Second step - intense humming. Third step - putting your awareness on every energy center. Fourth step - just sitting unclutched without allowing any chain of thoughts formation and Fifth step - sitting with a deep prayerful mood.
[21:06]
Understand First step - let your whole being become breathing. Second step - let your whole being become humming. Third step - let your whole being become an awareness in every energy center. Fourth step - let your whole being become just awareness, no thought, not pointed or directed towards anything. Fifth step - just deep feeling connection with existence. With a deep prayerful mood sit. Please close your eyes. -- meditation nithya dhyaan in process--
[22:30]
Carry this one truth, this one message - ‘You are always connected to the source. Wave is never away from ocean. You are enlightened.’ Let you carry this one truth, let this one truth work on you and lead you to awakening. Let you all be awakened. Let us offer our gratitude to all the great Masters, to Mahavira through this saranagathi sutra and namokar mantra. arihante saranam pavvajjami siddhe saranam pavvajjami sahu saranam pavvajjami kevali pannattam dhammam saranam pavvajjami .. pavvajjami Namo Arihantanam Namo Siddhanam Namo Ayariyanam Namo Uvajzhayanam Namo Loe Savvasahunam Eso Panca namokkaro Savvapavappanasano Mangalanam ca savvesim Padhamam havai mangalam
[24:36]
We thank with our gratitude and with our heartfelt gratitude the Jain center and the association and the committee which runs this whole temple and organization for making this whole thing possible. And all the volunteers and all the devotees who worked for the success of this program. And all the devotees who came here and heard these great sutras all these six days we thank with our claps to Jain association and Jain center for making this whole thing possible. So, essence of the Jain sutras is your awakening, you are never away from the source, you are enlightened. Carry this one truth even if your mind does not agree, don't try to convince your mind. Just carry this truth. Simply you will see this truth expresses itself in your body through your mind. Let you all radiate eternal bliss nithya ananda. Thank you.

Health does not mean clinically all right. Yes.....
(01:27)
Q: Before, You were going to speak about chakras. Swamiji: Oh, yes. Sorry I…. because again the chakra is also a big subject….
(02:50)
Q: Swamiji, can You talk about what chakra is related to addiction? Swamiji: Swadhisthana, Hara centre - below the navel. That chakra is below the navel, above the Muladhara, root centre. That is related to addiction. That is where you store the engrams, samskaras. So that is related to addiction- Hara centre.
(03:19)
Q: What age did you start your practice? Were are you a small child? Swamiji: Yes, at the age of three I started the yoga practice. Q: I am wondering how You feel it affected Your spiritual development? Swamiji: At the age of three I started.
(04:10)
Q: That’s when You ended? Swamiji: Yes, I ended. Q: You began at three? Swamiji: Yes, from 3 to 13. Q: What form were You practicing? Was it Hatha Yoga?
(04:20)
Swamiji: Yes, Hatha yoga and Patanjali yoga.
(05:21)
Q: What do You recommend for children now when they start yoga? Because the meditation is hard for them. Swamiji: Little bit of yoga and little meditation. Meditation should not be separated from yoga. At least little meditation is necessary because the purpose of yoga itself to achieve meditation. It’s not just health. It is a ultimate health. It is curing the Samsara roga means the disease of birth and death.
(05:56)
Q: Could you talk a bit about Patanjali? Swamiji: Patanjali?
(07:30)
Q: Because an animal can be trained does that mean they are conscious? Swamiji: Their conscience grow…. grows, not conscious. Conscience is different. Consciousness is different. They may be obeying your orders by your training but they don't grow consciously. For conscious growth, only human being, human body… in human body only conscious growth is possible. It's only by human being it is possible.
(08:02)
Q: Do we affect animals? Swamiji: Of course, we harass and disturb enough by keeping them as pets, in the name of pet.
(08:57)
Q: Swamiji, can you talk about a vegetarian diet and what happens when people eat meat? Swamiji: I do not want to associate this vegetarian food and the morality or the spiritual ideologies.
(10:11)
Q: In meditation, sometimes my body goes into different positions my head goes back. Why is that? Swamiji: Means that it is automatically taking the asana, yoga posture in which you are supposed to feel the high Consciousness. Allow it.
(11:10)
Q: Can a person ever be too sensitive or care too much? Swamiji: There is nothing like too much sensitivity or caring too much. How much you care, it is going to be less only. So the idea that I'm too sensitive or too caring, all those things are just…you create your own idea with the comparisons. So, it’s nothing like that too sensitive. Whatever you think as too much is only too less.
(11:42)
Q: In my life I have been very fortunate to spend some time in large groups of people meditating and they are the most blissful experiences. Swamiji: Group meditations are always powerful and very energetic. Even if you don't have the mood, you will be taken to that space.
(12:01)
Q: My question is, in the future are we going to see more of that for the world? Because I understand it has a very purifying effect for the world. Swamiji: Group meditations are going to create more effect and Planet Earth is going to have more group meditation groups everywhere.
(13:08)
We had a two days meditation program.
(14:22)
Understand the power and there is no other reason why suddenly it should drop but in other parts of the country it is not dropped.
(15:03)
Q: Once a physical state has been reached, a brain injury or a stroke, something that causes a physical effect on the body, can the physical effect be reversed if the person is and cured in that consciousness? Swamiji: The physical facts can be.... it is possible to reverse if he knows how to release that anger and violence away.
(16:05)
They will calculate your horoscope.

Q: Where I am not understanding is why we are going in the worse direction rather than the better direction? Why are we destroying the planet? Swamiji: I don't… I don't think we are really going worse if you see the population growth and the percentage of people who are taking spiritual ideologies. Yes...
(18:30)
Q: What do You think is the link between Economics and the desire for spirituality? Swamiji: See, Economics is beautiful.

Nine years during My research means the wandering.
(01:24)
They will not give the food after they eat.
(02:44)
Q: What in Your opinion makes someone a good person? Swamiji: If you feel good inside, you are good person. That's all. If you just feel good with yourself means, is with the identity which you are showing to the outer world and the Identity which you believe as you, you are a good person. That's all.
(03:07)
Q: What do You define as bliss? Swamiji: Bliss? An intense inspiration or excitement for no reason, not caused by any reason. Just overflowing for no reason is Bliss. There is no reason which makes you overflow. You are just overflowing.

This meditation is five part.
(01:20)
Third thing, an important thing: You will put your awareness on every energy center.
(02:24)
Let Me repeat.
