Etymology

The Sanskrit word ‘Utsava’ denotes an act of creation or re-creation. If we study the features of the Brahmotsavam, we will find that more than any other temple festival, the Brahmotsavam would essentially be a festival of re-creation.

Introduction

A brahmotsavam is an utsavam or a festival that is organized the Lord Creator Brahma Himself. Brahma being the creator the cosmos, is said to organized such a festival with universal grandour and celebration.

Brahmotsavam is the time when all the Gods &Goddesses literally come down and make their presence felt on the planet Earth in order to celebrate and commemorate a Deity.
