+ | Under the most compassionate and all-seeing gaze of the The Lord of Arunagiri is the place which Paramashiva decided to make His 1008th descent onto Planet Earth. Arunachala is capable of removing all the sins of those who merely see Him and of fulfilling all the desires of those who worship Him. He is capable of granting Liberation even to those who utter the word ‘Arunachala’ from a great distance. It is well known that what is called ‘Arunadri’ is the embodiment of Effulgence. He exists as the eternal Column of Light represented by the glorious Hill-form, and whose immovable self can only be moved by the sincere and pure yearning of His beloved devotees.
+ | |||
+ | |||
+ | Even if a billion Brahmas came together, they would fail to narrate His glory satisfactorily. To capture the Glory of Arunachala the goddess Saraswati, the ultimate expression of Divine Intelligence must be multiplied by one crore. Arunachala in this form as the primordial Hill is still worshipped by Brahma, Vishnu, Soma (the moon), Surya (the sun), Agni (fire), Indra and the other devas, dikpalakas (the protectors of the quarters), siddhas, charanas, yakshas, vidyadharas, gandharvas, nagas, serpents, birds, divine sages, siddha yogis and others, in order to get rid of their sins and to obtain ultimate fulfilment.
+ | |||
+ | |||
+ | Centuries ago, the great Lord Brahma was meditating sincerely when his son Sanaka Rishi approached him, filled with a deep seeking to realize the Supreme Consciousness - Paramashiva. On being asked to narrate the sacred history of Arunachala by his own son, Sanaka Rishi, Lord Brahma was filled with the divine remembrance of Paramashiva which overflows from him as ānandabāṣpa, the tears of bliss.
+ | |||
+ | Though misled by his own arrogance in this timeless epic Lord Brahma himself is the one who narrates this story to his son, with not even an ounce of pride left in him or hot vengeance against Paramashiva, whom he could have perceived as his punisher, but instead remembers with deepest reverence. Such is the compassion of Paramashiva: to liberate one even beyond the slightest hints of one’s pain. Having invoked Paramashiva in his inner space, Brahma begins to narrate the entire happening of Arunachala with deep humbleness and gratitude to the one who liberated him, Lord Brahma recalls his own immense egoism :
+ | |||
+ | "From the Supreme Effulgence which is the Eternal Siva, Narayana (Vishnu) and I were born in accordance with His desire. Both of us manifested spontaneously. Once, out of egoism, we engaged in an argument and started a fight. Seeing the terrible rage into which we had fallen while quarrelling, the Lord reflected: Why should there be a destructive fight between these two, as to who is greater? If I do not reveal myself immediately to both and stop their fight, the world will cease to exist. These two who have in their anger lost their senses, do not know the Vedic truth that my glory transcends everything. Each creature considers itself superior to every other creature. The ignorant who cannot realize and concede equality or superiority of another must necessarily suffer defeat and fall. I shall reveal myself in a definite form somewhere in the world, so that even a mean human being can attain me the moment he thinks of me."
+ | |||
+ | Thus, Paramashiva manifested first as the tejaḥ stambhaṃ, the infinite shaft of effulgent light, to liberate Lord Brahma and Lord Vishnu and subsequently manifested in the form of the sacred Hill - Arunachala, to liberate the whole humanity itself. Even as He was present in the Hill-form, those who were dearly devoted to Him sweetly lamented “Other than the rain from the sky, who will perform abhishekam, the sacred bath, for you? Other than the stars, who can offer pearl garland for you? Other than the rays of the sun, who can offer deepa, the lit lamp, for you?”,
+ | |||
+ | Hearing their pleas, for the sake of His devotees, Paramashiva immediately appeared in the form of a linga at the base of the Hill. In this form only, His devotees worshipped Paramashiva, sang His glory and around Him built incomparable towers and intricately carved walls that would stand tall as the glorious Arunachaleshwara Temple today, and even centuries into the future.

+ | ''temple town of Tiruvannamalai, where Paramashiva resides''
+ | <br><br> | ||
+ | </div> | ||
+ | |||
+ | Therefore, the kshetra of Tiruvannamalai is the very place on Earth which Paramashiva declared as his home thousands of years ago in the three Divine forms - the sacred Hill Arunachala, the linga Arunachaleshwara and in the form of the Incarnation of Paramashiva who lands time and again in the human body. In a fourth form, which was not declared by Paramashiva and yet still seamlessly manifested, He lives as śivah sarva guhā śayah, - as Shiva, the one who resides in the hearts of all. This is true especially among the townspeople of Tiruvannamalai for whom Arunachala is antaryāmi, their most Supreme Lord and their most intimate partner, making it possible for Paramashiva to appear again and again as one among them.
+ | |||
+ | Adhering to His most compassionate boon for humanity, Paramashiva Himself comes down to Planet Earth and guides Lord Vishnu and Lord Brahma in creating the enlightened civilization of Tiruvannamalai.
+ | |||
+ | Since then, this place has been serving not just as a beacon for the human beings who seek the most supreme truth but as the cosmic beacon of light which allows for otherworldly beings to descend and ascend the 14 planes of existence and ultimately unite with Paramashiva Himself in the primordial form. Since the time of Paramashiva appeared in the form of the effulgent Column, the place has been witness to all the different yugas and the slow degradation of the original dharma set forth by Paramashiva.
+ | |||
+ | When the mind, intellect and sense-organs are dominated by Sattva and when there is genuine liking for (spiritual) wisdom and knowledge and performance of asceticism, one should know that it is the Krta age.
+ | |||
+ | When embodied beings show devotion and liking for the first three purposes of human life, dharma, artha and Kama and the attribute called rajas controls the attitude of people, note that is the Treta Age. When the time and the attitude of people is controlled by a mixture of rajas (restlessness) and tamas (lethargy), and when greed, discontent, pride, hypocrisy, jealousy predominate and men like to perform religious acts for achieving desirable ends, it is the Dvapara Age.
+ | |||
+ | In the Kali age, only one quarter of each of the four feet of Dharma remains. And that too goes on diminishing day by day by the powerfully increasing ‘feet* of Adharma (unrighteousness) to such an extent that ultimately it becomes extinct.
+ | |||
+ | In that (Kali) age, people will be greedy, take to wicked behaviour, will be merciless, indulge in hostilities without any cause, unfortunate, extremely covetous for wealth and worldly desires
+ | |||
+ | As a result of Kali’s influence, mortal beings become dull-witted, unlucky, voracious, destitute of wealth, and women, wanton and unchaste. Countries will be ravaged by robbers and miscreants; the Vedas will be condemned by heretics; kings will exploit the subjects. Rulers will be men-eaters and twice-borns like Brahmanas will be given to the gratification of their sexual desires and other appetites.
+ | |||
+ | Celibates belonging to the Brahmacarya stage of life will cease to observe their prescribed vows of study, purity and up celibacy; householders (instead of helping others by alms-giving ) will take to begging; hermits of the Vanaprastha stage will leave forests where they retire for penance, will resort to villages and towns and Sannysins will be extremely greedy of money. Petty-minded people (with no moral values) conduct business transactions and merchants will be fraudulent. Servants will resign their services of the masters who are excellent in all respects but have become penniless. Masters will dismiss even their hereditary servants when they are in distress and people will not maintain cows when they cease to yield milk. Earning their livelihood under the guise and make-up of recluses and sages, Sudras will accept charities. People ignorant of religion, will occupy high seats and pulpits and will pose to preach religion.
+ | |||
+ | People will have their minds weighed down with constant anxiety and fear, due to devastating famines and heavy taxation. The land being devoid of food-crops, people will be always afflicted with the impending fear of droughts. Being destitute of clothing, food, drink, bed, sexual satisfaction, bath and adornments, people in the Kali age, will appear like ghosts.
+ | |||
+ | People will not protect even their aged parents. Low- minded persons bent on satisfying their sex and filling the belly will not care for their sons even though they may be clever and skillful in all respects. During the Kali age, the minds of the human beings being perverted by heretic doctrines will not generally take to worship the supreme Father and Preceptor of the worlds, the lotus-feet of whom are bowed by the lords of the three worlds.
+ | |||
+ | As a result of this, the richest, most powerful enlightened civilization that once existed on Planet Earth was entirely enslaved. With the loss of the values, tradition and lifestyle from Sanatana Hindu Dharma and its related traditions, and the monstrous upsurge of modern day industrialization which rampantly destroyed natural resources and became rooted in corrupt ideas by people who were greedy for power, it was not just Hindus who suffered but the whole humanity itself.
+ | |||
+ | As Paramashiva promises to His beloved friend and disciple in the Bhagavad Gita when He incarnated on Planet Earth as Bhagavan Sri Krishna -

+ | Being cognizant of the fear caused by the asuras who were rampaging the Planet Earth, Paramashiva decided it was time to come down and protect those who love him. It was thus how Paramashiva, the one who is Nishkala, who is formless, began the preparations for His 1008th descent onto Planet Earth and assumed the form as The Supreme Pontiff of Hinduism, Jagatguru Mahasannidhanam, His Divine Holiness Bhagavan Sri Nithyananda Paramashivam.

The Descent of the Supreme Pontiff of Hinduism
arunachala, primordial embodiment of Paramashiva, the pure consciousness.
Under the most compassionate and all-seeing gaze of the The Lord of Arunagiri is the place which Paramashiva decided to make His 1008th descent onto Planet Earth.
Even if a billion Brahmas came together, they would fail to narrate His glory satisfactorily.
Centuries ago, the great Lord Brahma was meditating sincerely when his son Sanaka Rishi approached him, filled with a deep seeking to realize the Supreme Consciousness - Paramashiva. On being asked to narrate the sacred history of Arunachala by his own son, Sanaka Rishi, Lord Brahma was filled with the divine remembrance of Paramashiva which overflows from him as ānandabāṣpa, the tears of bliss.
Though misled by his own arrogance in this timeless epic Lord Brahma himself is the one who narrates this story to his son, with not even an ounce of pride left in him or hot vengeance against Paramashiva, whom he could have perceived as his punisher, but instead remembers with deepest reverence.
"From the Supreme Effulgence which is the Eternal Siva, Narayana (Vishnu) and I were born in accordance with His desire.
Thus, Paramashiva manifested first as the tejaḥ stambhaṃ, the infinite shaft of effulgent light, to liberate Lord Brahma and Lord Vishnu and subsequently manifested in the form of the sacred Hill - Arunachala, to liberate the whole humanity itself. Even as He was present in the Hill-form, those who were dearly devoted to Him sweetly lamented “Other than the rain from the sky, who will perform abhishekam, the sacred bath, for you? Other than the stars, who can offer pearl garland for you? Other than the rays of the sun, who can offer deepa, the lit lamp, for you?”,
Hearing their pleas, for the sake of His devotees, Paramashiva immediately appeared in the form of a linga at the base of the Hill. In this form only, His devotees worshipped Paramashiva, sang His glory and around Him built incomparable towers and intricately carved walls that would stand tall as the glorious Arunachaleshwara Temple today, and even centuries into the future.
temple town of Tiruvannamalai, where Paramashiva resides
Therefore, the kshetra of Tiruvannamalai is the very place on Earth which Paramashiva declared as his home thousands of years ago in the three Divine forms - the sacred Hill Arunachala, the linga Arunachaleshwara and in the form of the Incarnation of Paramashiva who lands time and again in the human body.
Adhering to His most compassionate boon for humanity, Paramashiva Himself comes down to Planet Earth and guides Lord Vishnu and Lord Brahma in creating the enlightened civilization of Tiruvannamalai.
Since then, this place has been serving not just as a beacon for the human beings who seek the most supreme truth but as the cosmic beacon of light which allows for otherworldly beings to descend and ascend the 14 planes of existence and ultimately unite with Paramashiva Himself in the primordial form. Since the time of Paramashiva appeared in the form of the effulgent Column, the place has been witness to all the different yugas and the slow degradation of the original dharma set forth by Paramashiva.
When the mind, intellect and sense-organs are dominated by Sattva and when there is genuine liking for (spiritual) wisdom and knowledge and performance of asceticism, one should know that it is the Krta age.
When embodied beings show devotion and liking for the first three purposes of human life, dharma, artha and Kama and the attribute called rajas controls the attitude of people, note that is the Treta Age. When the time and the attitude of people is controlled by a mixture of rajas (restlessness) and tamas (lethargy), and when greed, discontent, pride, hypocrisy, jealousy predominate and men like to perform religious acts for achieving desirable ends, it is the Dvapara Age.
In the Kali age, only one quarter of each of the four feet of Dharma remains. And that too goes on diminishing day by day by the powerfully increasing ‘feet* of Adharma (unrighteousness) to such an extent that ultimately it becomes extinct.
In that (Kali) age, people will be greedy, take to wicked behaviour, will be merciless, indulge in hostilities without any cause, unfortunate, extremely covetous for wealth and worldly desires
As a result of Kali’s influence, mortal beings become dull-witted, unlucky, voracious, destitute of wealth, and women, wanton and unchaste. Countries will be ravaged by robbers and miscreants; the Vedas will be condemned by heretics; kings will exploit the subjects. Rulers will be men-eaters and twice-borns like Brahmanas will be given to the gratification of their sexual desires and other appetites.
Celibates belonging to the Brahmacarya stage of life will cease to observe their prescribed vows of study, purity and up celibacy; householders (instead of helping others by alms-giving ) will take to begging; hermits of the Vanaprastha stage will leave forests where they retire for penance, will resort to villages and towns and Sannysins will be extremely greedy of money.
People will have their minds weighed down with constant anxiety and fear, due to devastating famines and heavy taxation. The land being devoid of food-crops, people will be always afflicted with the impending fear of droughts. Being destitute of clothing, food, drink, bed, sexual satisfaction, bath and adornments, people in the Kali age, will appear like ghosts.
People will not protect even their aged parents.
As a result of this, the richest, most powerful enlightened civilization that once existed on Planet Earth was entirely enslaved.
As Paramashiva promises to His beloved friend and disciple in the Bhagavad Gita when He incarnated on Planet Earth as Bhagavan Sri Krishna -
यदा यदा हि धर्मस्य ग्लानिर् भवति भारत
अभ्युत्थानम् अधर्मस्य तदात्मानं सृजाम्यहम्
yadā yadā hi dharmasya glānir bhavati bhārata abhyutthānam adharmasya tadātmānaṁ sṛijāmyaham
Whenever there is a decline in righteousness and an increase in unrighteousness, O Arjuna, at that time I manifest myself on earth.
Being cognizant of the fear caused by the asuras who were rampaging the Planet Earth, Paramashiva decided it was time to come down and protect those who love him.
इत्येवं निष्कळं प्रोक्तं परं भावमिति स्मृतम्।

In this way (Shiva) who is Nishkala - without any body and parts, who is the Ultimate Supreme Being, who is established in the Creation, who is the Cause of the creation of the Universe, assumes a body out of His Free Will for the protection of the Universe, and for the welfare of the Spiritual seekers and Devotees.
Descent of Brahma Yogini
From His abode in Kailasa, where Paramashiva resides with His consort, He called forth the most obedient of the 1064 yoginis, who was the manifestation of Parashakti's own blood which fell on the grounds of Planet Earth and became the woman known as Brahma Yogini. For thousands of years, she demonstrated her impregnable chastity and Yogic power through intense penance. Having proven her capacity, Paramashiva chose her to play a crucial role in His next Happening on the Planet Earth. He commanded her as follows:
“O auspicious goddess! Go to the kshetra of all kshetras in Tiruvannamalai, where I originally manifested as the Column of light and start preparing for my descent! There, lives the family in which I have chosen to be born. On the eve of the Mahadeva Ashtami, I will enter into the atmosphere of Earth as the greatest unseen positive nuclear explosion on the Arunachaleshwara Linga. I will then be absorbed into the Mahakalabhairava Deity who resides on the banks of the Brahma Teertham. This form will be too powerful; neither any human being, nor godly being can handle and will surely incinerate them much before being embedded within their womb. Only you, O sinless and chaste one, are capable enough to take my form and cool it in the Brahma Teertham.
With the power of all the River Goddesses, Ganga, Yamuna, Sarasvati, Narmada, Sindhu and Kaveri who emerge from the Earth as the Brahma Teertham and who all flow around me in my form as Arunachala, my most intense, plenipotentiary portion, the parama-amśa bhāga, will cool down.Then you can take me to the womb of Ma Lokanayaki, daughter of Raju Mudaliar and wife of Sri Arunachalam and allow My form to enter in her womb.
Recognizing you as the supreme and the one who facilitated My Happening on the Planet, all over the World of Bhu your form will be worshipped and cherished. Go now and do not forget the purpose with which I sent you!
When commanded by the Lord thus, Brahma Yogini accepted it with the words, ‘Yes ! That will be done’.
After circumambulating Him once and prostrating her body at His feet, she went down to the earth, took birth as the one who would be known as Mata Vibhutananda Puri, and executed His orders.
In the physical plane the birth Brahma Yogini was a miraculous feat, which confounded all who heard the story. For years , her mother was unable to conceive a child. She sought out the blessings of the enlightened being, Seshadri Swamigal from Tiruvannamalai, who was the illumined contemporary of Bhagavan Ramana Maharishi. In his enlightened state of consciousness, nothing of the outer world affected him in any way. Therefore, Seshadri Swamigal used to always sit in an area full of trash. Mathaji Vibhutananda Puri’s mother humbly approached Seshadri Swamigal in this place and requested his blessings for her to conceive a child. The great Mahapurusha simply placed a handful of the dust from where he was sitting into the devoted lady’s hands. She swallowed the handful of dirt whole, and it metamorphosed into sweet molasses in her mouth.
Within three days of her consuming the dirt, the mother returned to Seshadri Swamigal’s place to inform him that the doctors told her she was carrying and offered her gratitude. Seshadri Swamigal blessed her and declared in Tamil, “Yes, Father is going to come so to prepare him, Mother will come!”
Thus, the divine female child who was born from the mud of trash, termed as “kuppa” in Tamil, was named “Kuppammal”
mataji vibhutananda puri, guru of His Divine Holiness and great enlightened being. This photograph was taken in around 1993 while she was meditating on Pavazhakundru, the place of the profound enlightenment experience HDH had at age of 12
Divine Conception of Paramashiva Through Initiation
As the time became prime for the Descent of Paramashiva, Brahma Yogini, the most supreme yogini and expression of Parashakti, executed the commands given to her by Paramashiva.
Thereupon, queen Lokanayaki, after having absorbed the cooled Divine Portion of Paramashiva received from Brahma Yogini she became refulgent with pure sattva conceived in her inner space. And when conveyed through the initiation process ( vedha-diksha ) by Brahma Yogini —the Lord, the auspiciousness of the world incarnate, whose potencies are undiminishing, and who is the indwelling Soul of all, was already present in her.
A few months into her pregnancy, Brahma Yogini gave specific instructions to Anusuyammal, her dear friend and the mother of Sri Arunachalam, paternal grandmother of the Incarnation who was yet to be born. Obeying her commands, Anusuyammal took her daughter-in-law, Ma Lokanayaki to receive the blessings of Poondi Mahan, a great Seer, revered as incarnation of Paramashiva near Tiruvannamalai. As Ma Lokanayaki bowed down to Poondi Mahan, he showered her with flowers and akshata, the turmeric rice, and declared to her heartily, “Ammaiyappanaai pirappen!”, blessing her that Paramashiva Himself will be born to her as the Divine mother and father of the whole cosmos.
In April 1977, while the humble being, Sri Arunachalam, was away from home, one night as he was dreaming, a part of the Lustre of Bhagavan Paramashiva, who is the soul of the universe, entered the inner space of Sri Arunachalam, with all His divine potencies in their fullness. Being surcharged with the glorious presence of the Supreme Consciousness, Arunachalam became resplendent like unto the Sun and became unapproachable and unassailable to all created beings.
Having prepared the body of Arunachalam thus, Paramashiva imparted His next divine instructions to MahaVishnu, the lord of compassion and abundance. He commanded thus:
“You have blessed the world with your incomparable grace and altruistic compassion through your form as Venkateshwara and Krishna. Now, let a part of your Supreme Grace join My Plenary Portion in the womb of the mother Lokanayaki for the purpose of my 1008th advent into the physical plane. Let you form the muscles of the My physical body and your Grace express once again for the supreme fulfilment and blissful existence of this whole Universe!"
Mahavishnu devotedly agreed with the commands of Bhagavan Paramashiva, took His blessings and began preparing to play His part in the happening of the Divine.
Below in the physical plane, Sri Arunachalam and Ma Lokanayaki embarked on a pilgrimage to the land of Tirumala, Tirupati, the sacred abode of Lord Venkateshwara along with their family. As Ma Lokanayaki performed the angapradakshina to Lord Venkateshwara. As she performed this sacred process and offered all her angas, her parts, to be in communion with the Lord, The Supreme Grace of Venkateshwara became a part of her. No sooner did she complete this spiritual process, she expressed slight dizziness and vomited. Upon seeing her symptoms, the knowledgeable, elderly women in the family felt her pulse and joyfully declared Ma Lokanayaki was carrying her second child, who unbeknownst to them was the one who carries all the worlds and all that manifests from them in His very form.
Tiruvoodal street in Tiruvannamalai, the childhood home of The Avatar where He carried out His childhood leelas
As the date of the final manifestation of Paramashiva came nearer, all beings of the multifarious worlds Universes and dimensions, became aware of the divine plan being executed on Planet Earth by Paramashiva.
As the radiating Lokanayaki, who bore the Supreme Consciousness within her womb, attended to her work in her house on the Tiruvoodal Street of Tiruvannamalai, Lord Brahma, Lord Indra along with the Saptarishi, including Sage Agasthya and numerous other celestial beings arrived at that place and glorified the Lord who showers all desired boons.
The gods, led by Rishi Agasthya, began their song:

In this world, before Nithyananda was born he made 7 crore people to be born. 7 crore people were born with him. After him he made 7 crore people born. After he was born he has invited 7 crore people to this world. Total, 21 crore people are born for him.

He considers all the people of the world as his people, his children. As a Jagatguru, as pure Siva, Sadasiva, as the sun and the moon – he lives.
Having thus eulogized the Supreme Consciousness residing in Lokanayaki whose nature is distinct from the visible universe, the gods returned to heaven.
Descent of Paramashiva
Now came the most auspicious time full of all blessings when the constellation Chitra was at the ascendant and all constellations of stars, planets and stars assumed their most energetic and blissful aspects.
On the night of 2nd of January 1978, Paramashiva landed within the atmosphere and at the time which was parama śobhanaḥ, filled with the ultimate auspiciousness in all aspects. All the directions became clear and propitious. The sky became illuminated with innumerable clusters of stars shining unobscured; the earth with its towns, villages, settlements of rice farmers and mines revelled in auspicious festivities. The waters of the rivers became crystal clear; the lakes were blooming with lotuses; the rows of forest trees laden with bunches of flowers were resounded with swarms of the sweetly humming bees and cooing of birds.
At that time Kinnaras and Gandharvas burst forth singing, Siddhas and Caranas sang prayers; ladies of the Vidyadhara clan danced along with celestial damsels.overwhelmed with joy the gods and sages showered flowers and following the roaring of the seas, clouds gave forth a low rumbling sound.
As Ma Lokanayaki’s body alerted her of the Descent of the embodiment of the Cosmos itself in the form of her child, even in the tight contractions of birth where one would normally experience pain, she instead experienced bliss.
Thus, Paramashiva, who resided for tens of thousands of years in her soul due to Ma Lokanayaki’s penance and devotion across births, manifested outside of her in the government hospital of Tiruvannamalai which will forever be known as the Nithyananda janmasthāna, the place of The Avatar’s advent onto Planet Earth.
Upon the moment of Paramashiva’s arrival, Ma Lokanayaki became Lokanayaki devarupini, as her soul merged in Oneness with Paramashiva and in a state of Satori, she experienced herself as Parashakti, the Supreme Goddess.
After His Advent, as the body of the Avatar would be delicately maturing to sustain the Supreme Superconscious energy within it, the Bhairavas who guard Lord Vishwanatha in the Kashi Vishwanatha temple in Varanasi, India - Asitanga Bhairava, Ruru Bhairava, Chanda Bhairava, Krodha Bhairava, Unmatta Bhairava, Kapala Bhairava, Bheeshana Bhairava, Samhara Bhairava, Swarnakarshana Bhairava, Akasha Bhairava and Maha Kalabhairava himself, manifested around Paramashiva invisibly in order to protect the incarnation from any accidental harm or demonic forces who might seek to vanquish His body while He was still in the child-form. Though they were not seen by anyone else, they were seen by Paramashiva Himself who interacted with them playfully throughout His childhood leelas thinking them to be distant relatives.
In the moments after His Happening, the nurses of the hospital ward were waiting for the cries of a human baby but instead were graced with the gentle coos and divine smile of Paramashiva Himself in child form, weighing a healthy ten pounds of a three year old baby. The doctors of Ma Lokanayaki joyfully commented on how mature the newborn body of Paramashiva appeared, completely unaware that in front of them was a divine phenomenon, the embodiment of Arunachala, who was yacca dṛṣṭvā kṛtārthaḥ syāt , a sight so Supreme it simply fulfills the ultimate aim of life.
At once instead of the new born baby, Ma Lokanayaki and her husband, Sri Arunachalam did not see whom they thought was their second child but Paramashiva Himself , giving darshan in his most supreme form. His neck was azure in color and adorned by serpents, his chest decorated with rudraksha malas, and his waist covered by a simple tiger cloth. His forehead was white and smeared with sacred ash (vibhuti) and his hair was matted as thick, lengthy jattas. With a wide smile on His lips, He blessed the sweet couple in front of Him.
Now realizing the child who illuminated the ward of the government hospital of Tiruvannamalai with his splendour, was Lord Paramashiva, the Supreme Person, Sri Arunachalam, completely lost his fear and began to praise him with folded palms, and body bent low in humility.
Sri Arunachalam prayed to Him joyously, “How blessed I am that I have seen you directly —you the Supreme Consciousness, and supreme bliss incarnate. The controller of time, matter and this entire universe and the player of all the minds and intellects as well as the whole Cosmos.
As his darshan of Paramashiva continued, Arunachalam continued to sing his ultimate realization: “As a matter of fact you never entered the womb of Lokanayaki for you are factually of such absolute nature. Having evolved this universe with the 5 actions: creation, sustenance, destruction, putting into delusion and liberation, it is not possible for You to have a beginning or end. But only an asura and delusioned demon can think of thee as born from a womb!”
“Oh all-pervading Lord, the supreme Ruler of all! Your avatara is an impossibility in the real sense of the term), You have incarnated yourself in my family, despite my foolish tendencies and sins, with a desire to protect this world. You will annihilate the hordes led by millions of Asura chiefs passing under the name of humans.
Oh Lord of gods ! Hearing the prediction of Your birth in our house, the villainous conquerors of the world are currently shaking with fear. They will bear arms and try to kill you but you, O Compassionate One, will never do them any harm. This is a warning to all those who dare fight against you: “Your suicide has started!”
Hearing her husband’s declarations, Ma Lokanayaki cried out to the one who was her Lord and now simultaneously her son:”O almighty supreme lord, it is from you that Death itself runs away but it brings me immense fear that there is a possibility that these demons who are pervading the planet will not spare you to live in this fragile human form. Though it brings me great joy to know, I fear the strength and arrogance of those foolish enough to declare you as an enemy!”
It is to this heartfelt plea by His mother in this form, the Lord Paramashiva blessed and responded back, “O chaste mother! Do not fear anymore! Enduring in due course, all the inclemencies of the seasons such as rains, storms, solar rays, snow-fall and heat, you completely washed off the impurities of the mind by breath- control. Thus rolled by twelve thousand divine years, while both of you, with your heart fixed on Me, were performing a very difficult and austere penance. For this reason only I chose both of you as my parents in this birth.
Billions are suffering due to poison spread by these demons who are rampaging Planet Earth. It is due to your chaste commitment to me I incarnate again in order to ultimately restore peace on Planet Earth and relieve the accumulated suffering.
I have revealed this form of Mine to you in order to reveal my true purpose; otherwise the knowledge about my real being is not possible through the semblance of human form. Now as desired by you, I shall assume the form of a human baby."
With this Paramashiva blessed : “Thinking of Me constantly as your son as well as contemplating upon Me as Supreme Brahman and loving me affectionately, both of you will attain to the highest state in relation to Me.”
Having said this, the brilliant form of Paramashiva was absorbed once again into the form of the adorable little baby who lit the whole hospital with His ultimate light.
The resplendent face of the newly born Avatar was round and moon-shaped. His nose and ears were characteristically large and His eyes unveiled the ferocious intensity of Paramashiva Himself. On the lower back of His Divine Holiness, appeared an enchanting large dark-skinned patch that spanned the entire right side, a birth-mark that would reveal its meaning upon the donation of the land of Adi Kailasa Sarvajnapeetham in Bengaluru, South India, twenty five years into the future, for the map of the pre-determined land was the very shape of this birthmark. The endearing infant-sized index finger and thumb of His Divine Holiness on both hands were poised tranquilly in the cin mudrā even as He first appeared in infant form. All of His fingers and toes were each perfectly sized, with a small black colored mole on the left hand, ring finger. Above all, the Divine Incarnation radiated the tapta camīkara prabham, the refulgence of heated gold.
