Title:
Devotion cannot be expressed through words
Description:
From the works of Living Enlightened Master Paramahamsa Nithyanana. In this clip taken from Shiva Sutras discourse titled, Devotion Path to Liberation, Swamiji says that devotion cannot bbe expressed through words since it cannot be described through intellect. Anything related to intellect can be reproduced through words. Anything related to emotion can be expressed through music or art. Devotion, on the other hand, is something that is far beyond. Experience of devotion is such that the person who experiences devotion will never try to speak since it cannot be reproduced through words. Swamiji then sheds more light on devotion through a beautiful story from the life of Ramakrishna Paramahamsa. He also goes on to say that intellectuals that lived around masters never spoke of devotion as a path to enlightenment since with devotion; one cannot create products or teachings that can exploit people. Swamiji, in his characteristic way tells us that no business is possible in the path of devotion!
