+ | I welcome you all with My love and respects. Ananda yoga the path of ecstasy is today’s topic. Let Me explain the meaning exactly word by word then you need to understand how is this Ananda Yoga? Ananda means work, Ananda means Bliss, Ananda means which can’t die, which can’t disappear. Ananda means which can never die, which can’t never disappear. A thing which can never disappear from your being is what is Ananda. Ananda means Bliss, be very clear, not joy. Joy is not Bliss. Whenever you have joy be sure you are going to have Suffering. Ananda is nothing to do with joy or suffering, it is beyond both…. Three things, three words you need to understand. Pleasure, joy, Bliss. Pleasure means whenever you are coming in contact with outer world things: Some music, some sweet, some smells, some beautiful scene, or physical touch. It’s called pleasure.
+ | |||
+ | (02:46) | ||
+ | |||
+ | Whenever you come in contact with nature, it is like a you see a big hillock, snow capped hillock, you see a big ocean, you see a beautiful forest and then what you feel is joy…. Whenever you feel the ecstasy or beautiful feeling without any outer object, neither a sensory objects nor the nature. Without any outer object, not even the forms of Gods, not even the name of the the Gods, totally from your energy, from your soul, from your atman if you feel ecstatic, joyful, from the atman, without any outer supplement, without the help of any outer objects, then it is called Bliss. These three words needs to be understood. Whenever you get the joy, whenever you get the feeling of well-being, whenever you get the excited feeling from something outside, it’s called pleasure. Whenever you get the feeling from the nature, it’s called joy, whenever you get it just from inside, for no reason, without the help of anything outer it’s called ecstasy, it’s called Bliss. Ananda means which come from within, which just happened from look inside system, without the outer objects. What is the word yoga? To understand what is yoga, one word is not enough to understand what is not yoga is the main thing. Because we have a wrong concept about yoga. We think yoga means nothing for the set of postures to bend your body this way or that way.

+ | |||
+ | For others that will be physical exercise. No. Physical exercises are only hatha yoga. It's only one part of yoga. Yoga means Union. What is union? The technique or the method which again unites you to the Divine which makes you one with the Divine, which makes you feel the experience of Advaita, experience of oneness with the cosmic intelligence, with the cosmic energy, with the cosmic power, the technique, the method only is called as Yoga. Yoga means Union; yoga means:
+ | योगह चित्त वृद्धि निरोधाह ॥ २॥
+ | yoga chitta vritti nirodhah.
+ | A ultimate explanation a definition about yoga. Yoga means cessation of the mind. Yoga is the technique or method to take you beyond the mind, to take you beyond the mind, to take you to the Enlightenment, to take you to the Divine, to make you feel the one with the existence. Yoga means union. Ananda yoga, the path of ecstasy, Bliss union - the method to unite yourself with the Divine. The method to unite yourself with God. The method to unite yourself with the existence. The technique to unite yourself in the existence is what is Ananda Yoga. Blissful technique, blissful method. Bliss itself is used as a technique, as a method to unite yourself to the God.

+ | I will explain how bliss itself is used. Path of ecstacy. You should understand the difference between path to ecstasy and path of ecstasy. Ananda Yoga is not path to ecstasy, it’s path of ecstasy. Path to means there is something like a goal, you are going to reach there. But it is not path to ecstasy, it is path of ecstasy. The very travelling is ecstasy, the very travelling is joy, very beginning, very walking is joy. If you keep your mind always on the goals you think your mind the goal continuously, somewhere you miss. People ask Me, “Swamiji, what is the goal of life”? Life has no goal, it has only purpose. Goal is different, purpose is different. Goal means there is something in the end, will go and reach there and we will get it. Purpose means the very living has got a purpose. Logical mind always thinks life has goal, mystical mind always thinks life has purpose. Your very living has a purpose, don’t think life has a goal. If you achieve only the goal your life has got a meaning. Are you got a meaning? No. Your very living has got a purpose. When you think life has a goal your whole life becomes more or less like a rat race. Again I used to regularly tell always telling this the greatest problem in the rat race is even if you win you are a rat. You are nothing more than a rat. If you think there is something goal after long, long, long distance you will be running towards it continuously. But there is no goal, there is no goal.
+ | |||
+ | (10:35) | ||
+ | |||
+ | Only purpose… Purpose means the very living is ecstasy, the very living is ecstasy, the very living is called purpose. Let us see what is purpose. Goal orientation always makes you more tensed. Generally, in the outer world, we run towards this, we run towards that. The greed makes you run. With the same mind you start thinking God or Divine also is one more goal. You start running towards that. That’s all. You think you can run towards the Divine! You can run towards the God! No. In this inner world, logic is totally different. It is never like a goal and running and reaching goal. No. That is what again and again I insist: “Arise, awake, stop. The goal is reached”. Vevikananada says, “Arise, awake, stop not till the goal is reached.” I tell you “Arise, awake, stop, the goal is reached.” One person went to a… to this Master, Zen Master and asked, “Master, when will I get what I seek”? The Master said, “Can you stop seeking? Can you stop seeking, you will get.” Because the very seeking creates a tension, a stress in you, you miss the goal. The goal is missed because of the very seeking. Because of very such you are so tensed, you are not relaxed, you just miss the whole thing. You’ve gone to your relaxation course, you’re so tensed to learn how to relax, you make the whole thing mess.
+ | |||
+ | (13:04) | ||
+ | |||
+ | If you are too tensed to learn how to relax, even your relaxation will be one more tension. The very idea that I should relax will become one more tension. I always tell the people, “Accept everything”. All your guilt, all your fear, all your anger.” They come and tell Me, “Swamiji, I am not able to accept, what to do?” At least accept that you’re unable to accept, that’s all. Over. What for the technique acceptance? To drop out the mind. Accept that you are not able to accept. Then again you are drop out of the mind. Whenever you understand that I am not able to accept the very understanding makes you accept. The very understanding makes you accept. If you are too goal oriented, your mind or the being can never relax or rest. The very purpose of spirituality or the bliss or the divinity is to make you relax or drop from your mind. Only when you relax from the mind, when you drop from the mind, can taste the divinity. Yogash chitta vritti nirodhah.
+ | Yoga IS cessation of the mind. How can cessation of the mind happen by tension? If you are goal orientated you’ll be continuously tensioned, never the mind will drop, never the cessation of the mind can happen only when you relax, only when you know the cessation can happen, only when you calm down from the mind, only when you drop the goal orientation, the mind can stop. The very mind itself is nothing but goal orientation. Your goal orientation only keeps the mind alive.
+ | |||
+ | (15:38) | ||
+ | |||
+ | Just suddenly for one moment decide whatever IS, I accept that. Whatever exists, I accept as they are. If you accept deeply, simply your mind will lose its roots. Your very mind will lose its roots. Mind is alive because of your goal orientation. Spirituality or the bliss become one more goal, how can mind be killed? How will you reach the Bliss? Mind and bliss are daughter in-law and mother in-law. They can never stay together how much you try. How much you try from morning till night, you can give all your best teachings or you can take them to best seminars even to ASP and the next day morning again you will see the same two people on the same mood. They will tell, “What Swamiji said is alright for others but that is not for my daughter in law. She always, see.. she listens to all these discourses. Swamiji you have taught so much but my mother in law never understood anything Swamiji.” I see many people coming and complaining to Me. You said so many things in the ASP but my mother in law is not saying, anything she never understood.” It means be very clear, you have not understood. If you are understood you will never come and complain. Mind and meditation are just like daughter in-law and mother in-law. Mind and the bliss, they can never stay together. Either mind or bliss. If you are goal oriented only mind can be alive. Only when you drop from the goal then you are path oriented, bliss can be alive.
+ | |||
+ | (17:54) | ||
+ | |||
+ | So, I tell you path of ecstasy not path to the ecstasy. Very living is ecstasy. Let it be path oriented not the goal orientated. Now, let us analyze the various paths. Then you will understand what is bliss path? What is the goal? What is to be achieved? Why all the spiritual groups are created on this planet earth? Why so many religions; so many cult; so many sect; so many group; so many method; so much of techniques and so many Masters? Almost, if you enter into the line of such, you are crowded with Masters and I always tell them, “Very easy to get Masters but very difficult to take good disciple”. Masters are very easy, you can very easily get, but very easy to be a …. very difficult to be a good disciple. Only a good disciple can be a real Master. Anyhow.... So many masters, so many techniques, so many methods, what is the actual ultimate goal? What for the whole thing is created? It is only one thing. The whole thing, the very movement of life is towards the joy, bliss. In Rishi's language they call it Satchidananda. Sat means the awareness which is constant, which is eternal, which is permanent, which always exists. Chit means consciousness, third Ananda means Bliss. Sat-Chit-Ananda. All the Vedantis, all the Rishis, all the Advatis, all the Meditators take the path of Sat; searching for the truth is what is called Sat.
+ | |||
+ | (20:45) | ||
+ | |||
+ | What is truth? Sat means truth. What is permanent? When you start searching, what is truth, what is permanent, you take the path of Sat. Chit means Consciousness. When you put your Consciousness in the path of devotion on some form, when your Consciousness is surrendered to the ultimate, through a Master or through a God or through some form it is called path of Consciousness, path of truth, Sat - path of consciousness. Chit- path of bliss is Ananda. This path, the very starting itself is bliss and your walking is also bliss, your ending is also bliss. The other paths, when you start, you start with the techniques most of the time dull, dead, dry. Religions are most like a punishment. If it is dull, dead, dry, religions is almost like a punishment.
+ | Small story: After a long dry sermon priest announced, “After this benediction there will be a congregation of the board.” In the next…. after the benediction he went to the next room. He saw one man who is dressed like a muslim sitting inside. Please tarrasque, I said, “There will be a congregation of the board. Why did you come here? You don't even look like your are a mus, like a Christian. Why did you come in this room”? The man said: “Oh, is it the congregation of the board? Sorry I mistook, it’s the congregation of the bored. I thought the congregation of the bored. I wanted to see how many more are bored just like me”? Religion, almost has become a dull, dead ceremony, a punishment. That is why rituals have been forced on people by greed or through fear. Either you are shown the greed of heaven or fear of hell. Religion, the techniques, the methods has become totally a dry long thing. The very idea has become anti-life; Almost every ritual has become anti-life.

+ | There is a small story. In India there was a big ashram where every day morning puja used to be done. That Swami had a pet, small pet cat. Every day at the time of puja, the pet used to come and play on him. It will disturb the puja. It will sometimes jump on the God also. So, that Swami decided tomorrow onwards before the puja the pet should be caught and should cover it with a basket. So, before puja the pet used to be caught, cat will be caught and they will cover it with the basket. Then puja will start. Every day the same thing continued. Suddenly one day, the pet has died, cat has died. They did not inform the Master. They thought puja means there must be one cat. So, they went to somewhere else caught one cat covered with the basket then puja started. Even after the Master, even after the Master’s time, the habit continued. After sometimes it has become very difficult to get a cat. Then slowly, slowly without a cat how can we do puja? First thing to be done for the worship is cat will be brought and it should be covered with a basket. Then start the puja. This is the procedure. If you can’t get a cat, how to do puja? Because one day they couldn’t get the cat they stopped the puja.

+ | So, slowly slowly the orientation turns and when the orientation is turned the whole thing becomes dull, dead, long path. Many people come and ask Me: Even yesterday we were discussing - somewhere there is a yoga group which takes months and years to open chakras and so long, dry techniques. When they heard about our ASP they were surprised. In two days out of every energy centers you could have a glimpse. You could have an experience. How grand this technique? I told them it’s true. The old methods, the old technique, all the old techniques and the old methods, they all are designed at the age of bullock cart. So, naturally we will have only the bullock cart speed. But now, this modern day path, Ananda yoga, is designed at the age of Aircraft, Jet age. So, it is naturally will have the speed of Jet. Ananda yoga is Jet age technique. The Yoga through Sat is invented and designed at the age of bullock cart. The yoga through Chit is designed at the age of tractor. Yoga through Ananda is designed, Ananda yoga is designed at the age of Jet age. The very starting itself is with the Bliss. All the mystics they say, “God is Satchidananda.” As far as the Satchidananda concept concerned, as far as the idea of Satchidananda, Satchidananda means: truth, consciousness and bliss. It is not only Hindus, or the Muslims saying.
+ | |||
+ | (28:33) | ||
+ | |||
+ | The Truth, consciousness, bliss, idea is said by almost all the mystics. Whenever a Master declares: “I, I” it does not mean their body. It means they are spirit. There is a fanatic group of Krisna devotees, Krisna believers. In India once they called Me for their function, I went to their function. In the function they asked Me, “Swamiji do you believe in Krishna, Gita? Do you believe in Gita?” I said, “Verily”, it’s the great scriptures. The greatest scriptures.. greatest scripture ever written on the planet Earth. You cannot produce one more book like Gita, it’s an ultimate book. Then they asked Me, “Then where do you worship Shiva instead of Krishna”? In our ashram there is a Shiva temple, there is a big banyan tree. Eh… Three hundred years old banyan tree. Under the banyan tree only I sit and do the healing or meditation, class to the people. Under there there is a Shiva temple. There is a beautiful sloka by sung by Shankara. It says,
+ | chitraṃ vaṭatarōrmūlē vṛddhāḥ śiṣyāḥ gururyuvā ।
+ | gurōstu maunavyākhyānaṃ śiṣyāstuchChinnasaṃśayāḥ ॥
+ | |||
+ | Sloka means it is sings… it is sung towards Dakshinamurti. Oh what, surprise! Under the big Banyan tree a small boy sitting as a Guru. And all His disciples are his grandfather’s age. And the Guru is only grandson’s age.
+ | vṛddhāḥ śiṣyāḥ gururyuvā gurōstu maunavyākhyānaṃ śiṣyāstuchChinnasaṃśayāḥ
+ | The very presence of the guru, very silence of the Master, destroys the negativity of the disciples; destroys them. Samsaya means not only doubts, the negativity… negativity and doubts of the disciples.
+ | |||
+ | (00:31:08) | ||
+ | |||
+ | Sloka is sung towards the Dakshinamurti. Not only Dakshinamurthy is suitable for all the great Masters with Shankara also. Shankara is only sixteen when He become Guru. And all his disciples Totaka, Hasta Malaka all the acharyas, Sureshwara. Sureshwara is sixty, then all disciples are all grandfather’s age. Master is grandson’s age. Same thing with Ramana Maharishi, when He become a Master, He was just twenty one when He came out to the world. And His first disciple Kavyakantha Ganapathi is an elderly pandit. There are so many examples. Thirugnanasambandar very young age, Vivekanada. The Guru is the grandson’s age, Master is grandfather’s age.. No.. I see I changed. The Master is grandson’s age, the disciples are the grandfather’s age. They... they asked Me, “Why do you worship Shiva?” Under the big banyan tree the Shiva statue is there. “Why don’t You worship Krishna?” I told him, “Why? Krishna and Shiva are one and the same. Same energy, Just because I believe Gita why do you say I should worship Krishna? Both are one and the same.” They said, ”No, no, no” In Gita Krishna says: “I am everything, I am the God.” So, you should understand. He says Krishna is the God, he is everything. Why should you worship something else? You should worship only Krisna. I told them, “No. When Krishna says, ‘I' He does not mean the Vasudeva Krishna. He means the Parabramha Krishna. It does not mean the person who took birth to Vasudeva, He means the enlightened soul who is Krishna.”
+ | |||
+ | (33:31) | ||
+ | |||
+ | He does not mean the person who took birth to Vasudeva. He means the enlightened soul is Krishna. He means His being not the body, not the form. He means the energy. They said, “No, no, no, where is the proof?” Then he says, “He means only the form. How could how could You say, ‘He means the energy’? Give us the proof. Give us clear explanation.” I told them, “If you just read two chapter after a Gita, you will know about one small book called Anugita. Any of you are read? If you read Mahabharata after gita, after two chapters, you come up of a small book called Anugita. How that book is created if you know then the whole doubt will disappear.” After the war everything is over; Krishna and the Arjuna they were going for a picnic, for outing. At that time Arjuna is asking, “Oh, Krishna, You said so many beautiful things, at the time of war in Gita, I forgot everything. Whatever you said I've forgotten; why don’t You please repeat so that I will remember, or put the whole thing in writing? Why don't you repeat once more?”
+ | |||
+ | (00:35:07) | ||
+ | |||
+ | Krishna said, “You’ve forgotten? Oh not only you’ve forgotten, I tell you honestly I also forgotten. I‘ve also forgotten.” Arjuna could not understand what are You talking. You're the man who told. You're the man who said everything, “How can you say you've forgotten”? Krishna says, “The person who spoke at that time is not Vasudeva Krishna is Paramabrahma Krishna. It is the Enlightenment ecstasy, The ecstasy of Enlightenment, the bliss of Enlightenment. In that high mood, in that enlightenment mood as a energy I spoke to you. It's not the body which spoke to you. If the… when I spoke to you, when I gave the Gita to you I’m the Brahma, I’m the Paramabramha. In that state I gave you the Gita. But now I'm in a normal state. I Am Vasudeva Krishna. I’m in the form. When I gave you the Gita I am.. I was the formless. So, Gita is delivered in the energy. Gita is delivered in the formlessness. Gita is delivered on the energy. Now I'm form.”
+ | |||
+ | (36:32) | ||
+ | |||
+ | Yesterday one of My devotee asked, “Swamiji sometimes we look at you so Divine. Your actions, your speech, your deeds, everything. Sometimes the very next one you look like so innocent, this small boy, the ordinary man, you confuse us.” It is truth. It is truth. There is a .. always a enlightened possibility… enlightened Masters, there are two dimensions.
+ | |||
+ | The major dimension, the ultimate dimension is the Enlightenment. There's a small ray at one inch of the human dimension in which they hold, which they keep the body alive. But the beauty is with enlightened person they we can always go and come back the path is open. That is why you can see the very innocent small child and the other mode, Divine God. The enlightened Krishna you can see, the moment He opens His mouth, He shows the whole universe in His mouth to Yasoda. The moment He closes His mouth He starts feeding the mud. One moment He eats the mud, and when Yashoda beats Him, He cries and opens the mouth and shows the whole world, whole universe.
+ | |||
+ | (38:14) | ||
+ | |||
+ | Krishna says, “At that time I was in that ecstasy, I delivered it. Now I’m a… I’m a Vasudeva Krishna. So, don’t ask Me, I’m not able to remember.” Then Krishna says, “I can do one thing, I can go back and bring that memory. I’ll do that.” He went back and brought the memory whatever little bit He could to put it in a small way, nutshell. That small book which He put in the nutshell form, the capsule form only is called Anugita. Only when this is explained, that Krishna fanatics or the Krishna believers, accepted that everything is one and the same. Everything is only one thing, it is just formless energy. Never the form. When the path is Sat, when the path is towards the truth, you must understand things are more than form. It’s beyond form. In Bible also the Sat-chit-ananda: truth, consciousness, bliss is accepted and in Quran also they say, “Anal haq”; I am the truth. In Upanishads they say, “Aham Brahmasmi”; I am the truth. In Zen they say, “The very body is buddha. The very being is Buddha.” So, everywhere the concept of Satchitananda is accepted; truth,consciousness, bliss.
+ | |||
+ | (40:25) | ||
+ | |||
+ | When you go searching for the truth, you have to leave all the things which is not truth, which is untruth. You need a tremendous renunciation. Because of the renunciation only the part of truth has become outdated. Today nobody follows that path. The path is almost outdated, very difficult if go through Consciousness. Again you do spend, lot of your time, by doing bajan, rituals, worships, tyaga, yangya, puja. The path of Ananda, neither asks you to renounce the world, nor ask you to concentrate on one object. The path of Ananda is, whatever you do, do it totally. Whatever way you may live, live it beautifully. The very living, let it become, the moment of Ananda, from Ananda to Ananda. Every moment, let it become Ananda, let it become Bliss. What is the way we are continuously listening to? I should say, “Be blissful, be blissful, be blissful” in all sort, all possible language I Am shouting. Be blissful in English; Āṉantamāka irukkungal in Tamil; Ānandavāgiri in Kannada; Ānandamugā uṇḍumu in Telugu. All possible language I Am blessings or talking - Be Blissful, Be Blissful.
+ | |||
+ | (42:10) | ||
+ | |||
+ | But only at the time of joke I have some small story, you show your mouth then again, it is back to the same tradition or same mood. Today I met with kids. Few kids are sitting with Me. I Am sitting and talking for an hour. I was really shocked, none of the fellows know how to laugh. I should take these guys to India just to show them how Indian kids laugh. Foolish fellows at least three times I told a few small stories. Not even once they opened their mouth. I was shocked, I was really shocked to see. Then I thought when he said some more time I will become old. Because the guys behaves so mature way, they think they are mature and oddily that symbol of maturity means showing long face…. They think that is the idea taught to them. That is the idea they learn from the society. And not only one fellow was interacted like a kid. Everybody is asking Me a question. “Swamiji, why did God create the world at all?” And all questions: “Swamiji, is there other human beings in other planets also”? No, fools first learn how to live happily in this planet. They started bothering now itself about other planets…. And the one more… one kid is asking, “How do to stop reincarnation cycle Swamiji?” I thought he is going to put the hand on the chakras and stop that. Now itself tired of living. I told what question you are asking? You are supposed to ask how to live more joyfully? Now itself the questions of tiredness! And I Am really shocked that none of them could laugh. Actually I was bored. I thought kids means they will be …. In India you should see; really I’m… I Am happy for the Indian kids, at least they know how to laugh. And if they don’t like also, they know how to express it.
+ | |||
+ | (44:50) | ||
+ | |||
+ | In India I went to attend the small gathering. These kids, they told Me to speak something. I told, “No, kids are very happy. Why should I speak, leave it. If they ask something I will answer.” One kid ask some question. I was answering. Somehow he couldn't understand. The very thing he started is, he came just near Me and started pulling My dhoti…. No other way it’s like a break. I have to stop My answer and I have to listen to him. Then only I can..I was able to proceed. At least in that I could see the life, even in their mischievousness. I could see the life. Here is so cultured... Never do that. I Am telling you to all the parents. And if you make them this way. If you make them so cultured and so serious you can be sure they will end up in the same way as they end up in the depression.
+ | |||
+ | (46:03) | ||
+ | |||
+ | Depression is nothing but the disease from intellect, from logic. Gift of logic to the humanity is depression. Because everything they measure. Even to laugh, they measure. Everything they measure. Look, why, when we laugh, only the next person sitting, the person who is next to you, if he is equal in status, if his status and your status is equal or if his status is a little high only then you open your mouth. Even after laugh you just verify what others think about you. What others are doing. For everything you measure. It’s very, very bad, very sad to see even if they felt bad. When I saw these kids and somebody is sitting shaking their leg. I told, “Arrey, it's the restlessness.” It shows their inner restlessness. I can be sure if I could have told this to an Indian kid immediately he would have stopped at least. Even after tell him, at least even after tell him, he would have stopped. But till the end not only he was not ready to stop, he does not want to show that he is ready to listen to Me. I was shocked. How logical, and how .. there is no other word to express. There is no other word to say. How foolish, the…How dull. The way his system response. See, once you tell something… hm to Indian kids at least they will show that they are not ready to listen. But here they did not even see that. They are just there as if I Am talking to somebody else.
+ | |||
+ | (48:20) | ||
+ | |||
+ | I always tell them, show at least, show some expression in your face whether you agree or not. At least if you show that you are not agreeing I can try to explain a little more. I did not find any expression. Just as if everybody is like a Buddha. Buddhus!! …. if I would not have sat with them I would have spoken much better way in here today. Just bored sitting, sitting with them, then I thought alright let Me finish. Generally whenever I spent time with kids I don’t finish, I extend. Today people call out, “Swamiji it is time,” alright finish it. It’s the first time I did not give, even hug to the kids. Whenever I finish with the kids I always give them a hug. But I saw everybody is so intellectual, all philosophical question, nothing is practical. Full one hour, only philosophical discussion, nothing is practical. Any of you attended then you would have understood. I have to again and again bring them to down to earth. Again they become philosophers. Again they become philosophers. Of course they are all… they learn from only our body language...even to hear. They say one story for one minute you open and again the gum is pulling you. Why… you are continuously sad? Again, again and again they listen but after the moment they come back to normal position.

+ | Three small keys from tantra. Three small keys from tantra to make your life as ananda yoga. These three small keys, very small, but if you can use it you don’t need anything else. You may have attended ASP, you may have attended NSP, you may have attended healer’s initiation, you may have attended all My discourses, you can forget everything else, just carry these three keys. I tell you forget every.. even forget everything, there is no problem.
+ | |||
+ | You can carry these three key. First key is acceptance of the the Life. Never grumbling or grudging is going to help. If you accept at least you will have intelligence to look into the life. First key it's called Tataata. Tataata means IS-ness. Whatever IS, accept the IS-ness. Acceptance of Tataata. Tataata is the first key. Next thing: Conscious decision to live happily, to live joyfully. With a small, small stories, I’ll explain one by one, that for you to understand. Tatatata means acceptance of rules of existence.

+ | |||
+ | There’s a beautiful story. One lady, middle-aged lady, went to see Buddha early morning, with his son’s dead body. Early morning, the son has died….her son or her son has died. With the dead body, she rushed to Buddha, “Oh Lord, please do something to revive him, do something.. to give life to him.” He said...whatever Buddha says to convince her, it’s never going to help. So, Buddha said, “Alright I will revive him. Please go and get a handful of mustard seed from a house where no death has happened. Go and get a handful of mustard seed where there is no death has happened.” She went house to house. Everybody is ready to give her mustard seed. But everybody says, “No, no in my house one death has happened. In my house one death has happened. In my house one death has happened.” She went around house to house, door to door, door to door. By the time she came back to Buddha in the evening she understood it is not that only she is suffering, that his idea of death, pain of separation. It is the rule of the world. She had a main worry, is not that our worry, we think all others are happy, that is the worry. No. Our main worry, the main cause for our worries is, not even our worries, we think everybody else is happy. They are only having problem. That is the main worry. Once you understand, the whole world is your worry then you don't feel much sad. Everybody is suffering then you come to your understanding, you come to a clarity.
+ | |||
+ | (54:19) | ||
+ | |||
+ | The very basic problem is that you always think, “Only I am the person who suffered too much on this earth. See how he is happy, see how she is happy, see how she is doing there, see how he is doing there. Whenever you think everybody else is happy you are suffering. Only then you are suffering looks big. When you understand everybody else is suffering in their own way you come to a relaxation. When she understood, it is not only she undergoes a pain, or separation of death the whole world undergoes. It’s a rule and almost she is transformed. She came to Buddha and not only she did not ask for healing she did not ask for the son after doing the rituals for her son she became Bikku. She became nun. She said, “Oh Buddha, even if you would have given live to my son what would have happened?” Just like all regular mothers I would have taken him back. After one month, again I would have fought with him. I would have tortured him and he would have tortured me.” The same usual procedure. One person become a swami. I was staying an ashram suddenly that person came and joined the ashram and become a swami. That person’s brother came, elder brother came to take him back. So, whenever somebody becomes a swami, always a fight happens. And whenever we enter into spiritual life there will be a problem in the house. If you don’t have a problem, be very clear you will not enjoy the spiritual life. I tell you will not enjoy the spiritual life. You will not know what you really want. Many people come and tell Me, “Swamiji, my husband is not letting me to go to NSP. He is telling me it is too late, the sessions are very late, don't go. My husband is not allowing me to go to NSP. My husband is not allowing me to go to ASP. My wife is afraid that I become… I may become a Swami.” So many people come and tell Me. I tell them, “If you don't have problem in the house then really you will not enjoy the program.”. Only when you have problem you know what is your choice, it becomes a solid thing. If everybody says, “Go, go, go”, then it’s not a juicy portion. It is not much juicy, it is not fun. Only when you have some problem, only when they say, “Don't go.” And you come without telling them or telling them, “I Am going to office work or that work…” I have seen many people, especially in India, many people, the husband will come without telling, and the wife will come without telling. Both will meet each other. And I have seen some other situations, very rich people they feel, eh.. little they feel, as if they go see a Swami, they go to a spiritual things it’s like eh… as if they’ve got some problem. In India, there is the deep mental thinking, you go to a Swami only if you have a problem. Otherwise you will not go. So, just for that, many people try to avoid coming to Me in public. They come without knowing and people who this person may be afraid of some other persons, they all should not know that I am here.
+ | |||
+ | (58:38) | ||
+ | |||
+ | So, they will before they’ll pick up and ask Me, “Swami, I'm coming today can you assure, can you assure that who are all there? Can you tell me who are all there?” Oh, these face are all not there. So, alright today I’ll come there. And when they come, exactly, both will meet. Not only the, the other person who is he afraid, he is afraid and ask and he will come different, separately. Each one have got their own view. But after coming here they both will meet. Of course, if you don’t have any difficulty, if you don’t have any problem, if you don't have any obstructions, things will not look juicy. Things will not look very enchanting. The understanding or the clarity the whole world is suffering it is not that only you. When that understanding comes, then you will see. The Tataata - acceptance automatically happens. She is telling Buddha, “Even if I have taken … what I could have done just like regular father, mother fighting, fighting and then fight could have ended. I was telling the story one fellow become a monk and his brother came to take him back. The brother is weeping and wailing, “Please come back, come back. We cannot be, I cannot be without you. Come away.” Then the person who became monk is telling, “Arrey, be honest. Even if I come back what will I do? After two years we both are going to fight for the father’s property. Why not now itself you take the.. all the property. And forget about me.”
+ | |||
+ | (01:00:44) | ||
+ | |||
+ | That … as soon as he spoke that guy simply went away…. Simply went away. It’s real and he understood the truth. It’s actually truth. Whenever you understand it's not only you are suffering. Everybody else is suffering. The whole world goes only the same way, then Tataata, IS-ness happens. She says, ”Even if you are… if you have given the life to my, even if you give life to my son, what would I have done? I would have taken him. After a few months regular life, regular day, everything would have been regular. But now you are given me a great intelligence, great understanding of accepting the life, accepting the pain, my whole life has changed. This is the greatest miracle which you have done.” Giving life to the person is not the greatest miracle but transforming one life is the greatest miracle. Its understanding is the greatest miracle. Tataata, accepting the life as it is. If you don't accept, do you think it’s going to change? If there is anybody who thinks that if I don't accept, things may change can continue till you got to the understanding whether you accept or not, either you want or not what it is going to happen is happening. Two things: Wherever you change anyhow you will be changing. It is not that you are keeping quiet. Is anybody who keeps quiet? No. Wherever you change if you can, you are changing. Wherever you can't, you can't, that's all.
+ | |||
+ | (01:02:46) | ||
+ | |||
+ | Wherever you can, you are already doing it. Wherever you can't understand you can't and accept that IS-ness. When you accept the IS-ness, the first step in the path of ecstasy is taken. The path of an ecstasy is started. Next thing… first thing is Tataata. Next thing is conscious decision, the pratyagatma chaitanya. The individual decision awakened.
+ | |||
+ | There is a small story from sufism. There was a great Master called Abdullah. He used to be always happy from morning till night laughing, laughing, laughing, enjoying. Whomsoever goes near him, he just catch the infection of Joy and bliss, Nithya-Ananda - Eternal Bliss. Somebody asked him, “Master, what do you do to be so joyful, so ecstatic? Why don't you teach us the technique”? Then he says, “Everyday morning as soon as I get up from my bed I ask myself, Abdullah, Abdullah, Abdullah: What do you want? Whether suffering or Bliss? Today what do you want?” Calling yourself by your name is a very technique. Understand. Only others use your name, you never use your name. If you use your name, understand you go beyond your name. You go just up from the mind. Mind will always tell, “I want bliss. Then I tell them alright then have bliss that's all.” Have bliss over. What you will ask, “No, no, no Swamiji. You say have bliss. But there is so much of suffering and problems. How can I have bliss?”
+ | |||
+ | (01:05:08) | ||
+ | |||
+ | Alright. Even if you worry, even if you have continuous depression, is it going to solve the problems? No, it's only going to give you more problem. Try. All these years you have tried the key of depression. Why don't you try the key of joy or Bliss? Just try, then you will understand Ananda, Bliss does miracles in your life. There’s a beautiful book called ‘Miracle of mindfulness.’ ‘Miracle of mindfulness’. I'm writing a book called ‘Miracles of Nityananda’. Not Nithyananda; Nitya, Ananda. Miracle of Nitya Ananda. When you live in the Bliss, how many miracles happen in your life? This Master says, “I asked myself what do you want? Then mind says, ‘I want bliss.’ I allow the mind, I tell the mind, ‘alright have bliss’.” That's all. Don't tell anybody else to interfere in your bliss. One more thing, a important key never decide for two days. Never decide for two days. Decide every day. If you decide for two days then you will think, why for two days? Let me decide for one month. No, why for one month let me decide for once for all. You will decide and in the second day you will forget what you have decided. Never for two days. Only for 24 hours. Only for next 24 hours, what you want.
+ | |||
+ | (01:06:55) | ||
+ | |||
+ | Whether you want to live with happiness, joy or you want to live with sorrow, misery. Whether you want to be …and next 24-hours what is going to happen in your life you know. It is not that in next 24 hours you are going to become a millionaire or you are going to lose your million, billion… billions of Dollars, no. In next 24 hours almost you know and people who work in the normal life not next 24-hours even next 24 years, you know what is going to happen. Same wife, same house, same office. Listen. Maybe you’ll have white beard, that’ s all. You know what is going to happen in next 24 hours. Why not try a small thing ? Instead of facing the life with the same long face. Why not face with a little bit of excitement, joy, ecstasy? Some zest, “Why not do that?” When you decide to do it, you will see. If the radio stations tune to Chennai, it receives the Chennai waves. If it’s tuned to the Pondichery it receives the Pondichery waves. When you are tuned to the bliss you receive the bliss waves. When you are tuned to the suffering you receive the suffering waves. You attract only what you want. Only radio can sing, can your shoe sing? No. If you tune yourself only then you can get it. If you tune to Pondicherry you get Pondichery. If you tune to Chennai you can get Chennai.
+ | |||
+ | (01:08:45) | ||
+ | |||
+ | In our life either we needed a shoes never tune yourself to anything or you tuned to suffering, that’s all. Instead of that, tune yourself, accept the life. Just for few days try it. I'm not telling you to lead the whole life, just two days you will try and then you will understand how many miracles happen in your mind. How many miracles, changes starts happening in your mind. Just decide. For next two-three hours I’ll accept whatever happens. I will not shout, I will not become mad, I will not become dog. If somebody says, “You are a dog.” You immediately bark and prove…. When somebody says, “You are mad.” You just yell at them and prove. Instead of that, just for few hours I'll try whatever happens in my life, let me accept. And acceptance-Tataata, the pratyahara chaitanya jagarta means the conscious decision I Am telling exact sutras translating to you. Conscious decision to live joyfully, face joyfully, face ecstatically. The third thing. The third thing it's a very deep but ultimate thing. The Master is questioned, the Abdullah is questioned. One disciple is asking, “Master, you say, ‘Your mind always chooses the Bliss.’ If our mind chooses a suffering what should we do?” Because there are few cunning minds which will tell If you ask, “Abdulla what you want?” Your mind will tell, “I want suffering.”
+ | |||
+ | (01:10:56) | ||
+ | |||
+ | Master says, “If your mind wants suffering, understand you are enjoying the suffering.” This’s the third key. Understand. You are enjoying the suffering. Unless you enjoy something you will never ask for. Whatever you are having in the life you are enjoying it. You are experiencing it. You have such a clear power in the conscious decision you enjoy only what you want. You ask only what you enjoy. If you enjoy the suffering what is the wrong? Enjoy. The very problem is the conflict between your asking and when it is presented to you; you are enjoying. It is like eh.. you go to a hotel and order for all the varieties, you eat everything is over. Finally the server brings you a bill. You say, “I've not ordered for the bill, why do you bring?” If you order for food naturally the bill also come to you. But you want... you know the bill is going to come. You order for food and eat but you are not ready to yourself with the bill. When you know the bill is going to come, bill is coming; by ordering the food, you only welcome the bill. But when the bill comes you resist with it. That is the same thing is happening in your life. You order for your choices. When those things come, you resist with it. When you order for joy, when you order for the pleasure, you know the pain is going to come. Even if pain is not going to come the end of the pleasure is going to be pain. So, when you prepare yourself for the pleasure, why not for the pain also?
+ | First thing: accept. | ||
+ | Next thing: decide consciously to be blissful.
+ | Third thing: even if the suffering comes it is your choice. Enjoy it.
+ | |||
+ | You may think what is this? If Swami simply says, “Enjoy suffering.” I tell you choicelessness is Bliss.
+ | |||

I welcome you all with My love and respects.
(02:46)
Whenever you come in contact with nature, it is like a you see a big hillock, snow capped hillock, you see a big ocean, you see a beautiful forest and then what you feel is joy….
(05:35)
For others that will be physical exercise. Yoga means Union; yoga means: योगह चित्त वृद्धि निरोधाह ॥ २॥ yoga chitta vritti nirodhah. A ultimate explanation a definition about yoga.
(08:01)
I will explain how bliss itself is used.
(10:35)
Only purpose… Purpose means the very living is ecstasy, the very living is ecstasy, the very living is called purpose.
(13:04)
If you are too tensed to learn how to relax, even your relaxation will be one more tension. Yoga IS cessation of the mind.
(15:38)
Just suddenly for one moment decide whatever IS, I accept that.
(17:54)
So, I tell you path of ecstasy not path to the ecstasy.
(20:45)
What is truth? Small story: After a long dry sermon priest announced, “After this benediction there will be a congregation of the board.” In the next…. after the benediction he went to the next room.
(24:18)
There is a small story.
(26:07)
So, slowly slowly the orientation turns and when the orientation is turned the whole thing becomes dull, dead, long path.
(28:33)
The Truth, consciousness, bliss, idea is said by almost all the mystics. It says, chitraṃ vaṭatarōrmūlē vṛddhāḥ śiṣyāḥ gururyuvā । gurōstu maunavyākhyānaṃ śiṣyāstuchChinnasaṃśayāḥ ॥
Sloka means it is sings… it is sung towards Dakshinamurti. Oh what, surprise! Under the big Banyan tree a small boy sitting as a Guru. And all His disciples are his grandfather’s age. And the Guru is only grandson’s age. vṛddhāḥ śiṣyāḥ gururyuvā gurōstu maunavyākhyānaṃ śiṣyāstuchChinnasaṃśayāḥ The very presence of the guru, very silence of the Master, destroys the negativity of the disciples; destroys them. Samsaya means not only doubts, the negativity… negativity and doubts of the disciples.
(00:31:08)
Sloka is sung towards the Dakshinamurti.
(33:31)
He does not mean the person who took birth to Vasudeva.
(00:35:07)
Krishna said, “You’ve forgotten?
(36:32)
Yesterday one of My devotee asked, “Swamiji sometimes we look at you so Divine. Your actions, your speech, your deeds, everything. Sometimes the very next one you look like so innocent, this small boy, the ordinary man, you confuse us.” It is truth. It is truth. There is a .. always a enlightened possibility… enlightened Masters, there are two dimensions.
The major dimension, the ultimate dimension is the Enlightenment.
(38:14)
Krishna says, “At that time I was in that ecstasy, I delivered it.
(40:25)
When you go searching for the truth, you have to leave all the things which is not truth, which is untruth.
(42:10)
But only at the time of joke I have some small story, you show your mouth then again, it is back to the same tradition or same mood.
(44:50)
In India I went to attend the small gathering.
(46:03)
Depression is nothing but the disease from intellect, from logic.
(48:20)
I always tell them, show at least, show some expression in your face whether you agree or not.
(50:19)
Three small keys from tantra.
You can carry these three key.
(52:04)
There’s a beautiful story.
(54:19)
The very basic problem is that you always think, “Only I am the person who suffered too much on this earth.
(58:38)
So, they will before they’ll pick up and ask Me, “Swami, I'm coming today can you assure, can you assure that who are all there?
(01:00:44)
That … as soon as he spoke that guy simply went away….
(01:02:46)
Wherever you can, you are already doing it.
There is a small story from sufism.
(01:05:08)
Alright.
(01:06:55)
Whether you want to live with happiness, joy or you want to live with sorrow, misery.
(01:08:45)
In our life either we needed a shoes never tune yourself to anything or you tuned to suffering, that’s all.
(01:10:56)
Master says, “If your mind wants suffering, understand you are enjoying the suffering.” This’s the third key. First thing: accept. Next thing: decide consciously to be blissful. Third thing: even if the suffering comes it is your choice. Enjoy it.
You may think what is this? If Swami simply says, “Enjoy suffering.” I tell you choicelessness is Bliss.
