+ | Today we are entering into the third Sutra in the first chapter, third Sutra:
+ | Shastrayo shastra yonitvat
+ | |||
+ | (03:30) | ||
+ | |||
+ | Sutra is just this much. Shastra yonitvat. That’s all. Translation says, Brahman is omniscient because of its being the source of the scriptures. Swami Vireswarananda translates as the omniscient and omnipotence of Brahman being the source of scriptures. The meaning, translation of this Sutra is, Brahman is omniscient because of its being the source of scriptures- Shastra yonitvat. Just two words: Source of the Shastras. This is the source of the Shastras.
+ | |||
+ | (04:36) | ||
+ | |||
+ | Understand, first let us understand the word ‘Shastra’. Shastra means truth about Reality is Shastra. In the commentary, each one says their Shastras are Shastras. Vaidikas are saying, “Brahman is great because it is the source of Rig Veda, Yajur Veda, all Vedas”. Naturally the Vaishnavas say, “No, because it is source of Bhagavata and all the Vaishnavite scriptures.” Each one debates on the word ‘Shastra.’ Almost all the religious fights happened in India is just because of this one book- Brahma Sutra. No, I have to tell the truth. Each one was claiming their own meaning for this book, which created too much of division, disturbance, led to fights, wars, sometime even natural calamities because the guys who are fighting on the meaning of the Brahma Sutras unfortunately sometime have extraordinary powers to create even natural calamities. So the Indian religious war was not stopped with weapons and attack on each other. It sometime used even the inner energies.

+ | |||
+ | Once in a Vedantic book stall, a customer went and asked showing two books - the Brahma Sutra Shankara bhashya and Ramanuja bhashya, asked the seller, “What is the difference between these two?” The bookseller said, “Forty five rupee.” Because these books are rarely read, very rarely studied, very, very, very rarely understood. Rarely read, very rarely studied, very rarely understood... You need to understand this word ‘Shastra Yonitvat.’ Because it being the origin of the Shastras, it is considered to be omniscient, omnipotent, ultimate. So the word ‘Shastra’ need to be understood. Shastra means the truth about Reality. Truth about Reality.
+ | |||
+ | (08:21) | ||
+ | |||
+ | Only the omnipotent, omniscient intelligence will have guts to reveal its quality. Please understand, only the Ultimate will have the strength to reveal its qualities to you, to reveal truths about itself to you. I wanted all of you to understand the word Shastra does not mean just some book. Shastra means truth about Reality. Only truth has a capacity to reveal its truth. Nothing else can reveal about its truth. Please understand, leading somebody in the path of truth is very dangerous unless you are established in it. If you are not established and you are leading, a disciple will find out your falsehood. That is one of the important, very important truth you need to understand.
+ | |||

+ | What is Enlightenment? If you ask Me now, I will tell, “Fan is moving, TVs are functioning, people are sitting, I am talking. This is Enlightenment.” That’s all. If you ask Me, “Swamiji, please teach Brahma Sutra for this moment, I will say, “I am sitting on a gold plated throne. Brahmachari is using a camera and clicking Me. Time is 6:55 as per this clock. People are sitting in front of Me with lot of anticipation. Many have gathered around the world to watch what I am talking.” This is Brahma Sutra, that’s all. Only truth has innate intelligence to reveal itself. Shastra means truth about Reality... Existence is great because it reveals all the truths about its reality.
+ | |||
+ | (11:49) | ||
+ | |||
+ | All the psychodrama you add on the things and persons and situations, if they are deducted, truth is revealed. The moment you start the psychodrama of Me being Guru, I start the psychodrama of you being a disciple... The moment you start the psychodrama of friendliness towards somebody, that person starts the psychodrama of friendliness to you. The moment you start the psychodrama of enmity towards somebody, the person starts the psychodrama of enmity towards you. Psychodrama of pain, pleasure, love, anger towards persons, object or Reality is corruption. Otherwise in truth, in reality - Shastra yonitvat.
+ | |||
+ | (13:17) | ||
+ | |||
+ | If I have to translate this Sutra Shastra yonitvat, Reality is the origin of the truths about Reality. Because it is origin about the truths, about the Reality, because it has a capacity to reveal the truths about itself, it is great. I tell you, anybody who has a capacity to reveal the truths about himself will go to the deeper and deeper truths about himself. I really tell you, if you completely keep the truth about yourself open to the warm circle…..warm circle means people who experience your breathing space, whose breathing space everyday you experience. You should learn this lesson.
+ | |||
+ | (14:24) | ||
+ | |||
+ | Today learn this lesson. Don’t miss it. People whose breathing space you enjoy, who enjoys your breathing space, just completely reveal yourself to them. Even if the relationships are breaking, it’s okay. What you are, what you feel as you are, the truths about you, reveal it to them. I can tell you, even if few relationships are breaking in your life, you will roll in the life so beautifully, you will attract the deeper and deeper personalities who are ready to radiate your reality. People who are ready to radiate your reality are eternal companions. You will attract eternal companions in your life. Not only that, you yourself will experience deeper and deeper realities about you.

+ | In West Bengal, there is a great spiritual tradition called Bauls. The word Baul means in Bengali pahul - mad. They stay usually as couples. Couple does not necessary to be one male or another one female. No. They stay as pairs. Sometime both will be female or both will be male. Sometime one will be male and another one will be female. The Bauls, they take a vow: We will share the deepest truths about ourself to each other and they take a vow they will not allow anybody else to be in their breathing space and they also will not enter anybody else’s breathing space. It’s a very beautiful tradition in West Bengal. They will have a long stick on which they will have a begging bowl. Even while they beg, they will stretch that stick and tell the person not to enter the breathing space. ‘Put the food from there.’
+ | |||
+ | (17:12) | ||
+ | |||
+ | Try this. It works, actually. It works. Anybody who enters your breathing space with whom you share your breathing space means friend, family, first circle, the warm circle. Show utter naked truth about you to them: what is your feeling about life, about you, about them. You are afraid now, I know. So many people have to come back to the ashram to stay permanently if you do this. I know but sometime as I said, Vyasa doesn’t give any technique. He doesn’t give any homework. He just takes away the home from you so that there is no homework. Vyasa is dynamic dynamite diamond. That is why, Vedantis have to always move out of the society because it is high measure of truth.
+ | |||
+ | (18:46) | ||
+ | |||
+ | The other day, I was reading a slogan in the T-shirt, “Truth is a disease happens to you because of alcohol deficiency.” Reality is a illusion created by alcohol deficiency. Reality is too much for society but I tell you, fruit is too much for the root but the foolish root does not understand fruit is the life for the root. Enlightened Master is too much for the society but they don’t understand it is for my sake they are still alive. It is the fruit which justifies the existence of the root. It is for fruit the root exists. Reality is too powerful for the society but the groups, small groups which holds this Reality as a stream in their life are the juice of the earth. They are the salt of the earth. It is this kind of groups for which the humanity is still kept alive without being destroyed.

+ | I welcome you all with My love and respects. So before entering into today's satsang, I wanted to remind all of you, these satsangs are specially for creating eN-effect on people. So I wanted all of you to sit in padmasana and samana mudra.
+ | I can see already the eN-effect has started happening on the globe.
+ | |||
+ | [01:30] | ||
+ | |||
+ | Today's subject is 'Become Invisible, Unknowable '
+ | Patanjali is expanding on the next level of samyama and next powerful technique. 'Etena sabdadi antardkanam uktam'.
+ | Vivekananda translates this sutra as: "In this manner the disappearance or concealment of words which are being spoken and such other things are also explained".
+ | Swami Prabhavananda translates this sutra as: "Thus also its sounds ceased to be heard"'.
+ | Swami Satchidananda translates this sutra as: "In the same way, the disappearance of sound, touch, taste, smell is explained."
+ | Osho says: "This principle also explains the disappearance of sound".
+ | |||
+ | [02:39] | ||
+ | |||
+ | This sutra explains the technique of disappearance of sound also. The yesterday's sutra was giving us the samyama technique for disappearance of seen If you practise that samyama, how you can disappear, invisible from others eyes or how you can realize what you are seeing is not reality.
+ | |||
+ | [03:39] | ||
+ | |||
+ | In this sutra, Patanjali explains a method or process for same way making you inaudible. For example: if you apply the same principle of samyama which you understood yesterday in last sutra for the ears, you can stop hearing others or you can make others stop hearing you. You may be talking but you will.... the only whom you want will be listening you, not others. If you want a particular person should not hear you, he will not be able to hear you. You can separate.
+ | |||
+ | [04:34] | ||
+ | |||
+ | What’s the technique? When you create a sound, do samyama on how sound happens. And do samyama on the ears of a person who is receiving the sound. On whose ears the sound is becoming meaningful words. Once you do samyama on the person who is hearing, on his ears and give a command ‘let it be separated’, you will be talking or shouting, doing what you want, the person will not be able to listen, hear. He will not be able to understand what is being taught or what is being told.
+ | |||
+ | [05:36] | ||
+ | |||
+ | These are some of the extraordinary powers. The same way smell can be separated. Touch can be separated. Somebody can touch you but you will not feel the touch, you can touch somebody and they will not feel your touch. It’s almost like a mastery over the sensory realities. Mastery over the sensory realities makes you understand the sensory realities are not realities. Only when you master something you will understand the whole, complete.
+ | |||
+ | [07:00] | ||
+ | |||
+ | All the great miracles, extraordinary powers, expressions you read, study, in different Master’s lives, enlightened beings lives, is all these great yogic powers; it is these great yogic siddhis. It is these yogic siddhis which are responsible for creating those miracles. I can say all yogis, all siddhas were not only expressing the extra ordinary powers, they also realised the ordinary reality is not reality. Ordinary reality is not reality!
+ | |||
+ | [08:28] | ||
+ | |||
+ | Try it on yourself. Do samyama on how the sounds are heard and converted into meaningful words. How the touch is felt, converted into experience of pain or pleasure? How the smell is felt converted into good or bad? Do samyama on the spot where the conversion happens. Work on the space where the meaning is added to what ‘Is’. Then you will be very easily be able to separate.
+ | Actually you can try this experience experiment. Take a candy and a green chilli. Put both on your tongue in two ends. One side touch your tongue with a candy, very sweet candy; other side with a green chilli. Be aware of both. What is happening? How the tongue is responding? Do samyama on it.
+ | Suddenly you will realize both excitement is one and the same. It is you who is labelling it; this is hot, this is sweet. This samyama will liberate you, will make you realize, experience, will make you understand how to do samyama on the sound, how to do samyama on the touch, how to do samyama on the seen.
+ | |||
+ | [10:47] | ||
+ | |||
+ | Doing Samyama on all these five, exactly on the spot, on the space where the cognition happens, where the recognition happens will lead you to have extraordinary powers and the realization - 'reality is not the ultimate reality'!
+ | |||
+ | [11:25] | ||
+ | |||
+ | Suddenly now I am feeling, the morning sutras of Patanjali and evening sutras of Vyasa both are overlapping on each other or both are complimenting each other. Patanjali prepares you for Vyasa. Vyasa again raises you to Patanjali. Morning sutra is more like a, ‘knowledge with technique’. By the time you practice the technique and either experience or tired, evening Vyasa breaks your head without any technique. Whether you practiced and successful or whether you are tired of practicing, Vyasa breaks you head, without technique.
+ | |||
+ | [12:25] | ||
+ | |||
+ | So try samyama on where you hear the sound.
+ | In Patanjali you need to do some practice. In Vyasa's Brahma Sutras, the only practice you need to do is - after you imbibe you should express; means nididhyasana. You should talk it out. You should inspire others. Understand, in Vyasa's sutras, Brahma Sutras, if you don’t talk to people, if you don’t do the nididhyasana - expressing in your words, in your actions if you are not inspiring, then it won’t work. You will forget it. The problem is you will get into the laziness, tamas, taamasa. It doesn't get imbibed in you. It doesn’t get settled in you.
+ | Method in which Patanjali works is working in the 'in you'. In Brahma Sutras, the method Vyasa works is you should talk it out. Only when you tell others, your own brain, your own dormant parts of the brain which has not understood or become aware or imbibed will suddenly open up and imbibe.
+ | |||
+ | [14:26] | ||
+ | |||
+ | Let's gets into samyama. Bring your whole awareness to the ears. See how the sounds are heard. Please understand, I am not saying, ‘hear’. I am saying, ‘see’. See how the sounds are heard inside your head, how meanings are made for the sounds.
+ | |||
+ | [15:12] | ||
+ | |||
+ | Close your eyes. See how you make meaning for the sounds. Do samyama on that very space where the sounds are heard and meanings are made. Try this samyama today whole day. We will gather again in the evening for Brahma sutras.
+ | |||
+ | [16:06] | ||
+ | |||
+ | I bless you all to achieve, experience, live, radiate, express and share the eternal bliss, Nithyananda!
+ | Thank you. | ||

(02:29)
I respectfully remember the Brahmavidya Sampradaya. Om Brahmadi bhyo Brahmavidya Sampradaya kartu bhyo Vamsha rishibhyo Namo maha bhyo gurubhyah
Today we are entering into the third Sutra in the first chapter, third Sutra: Shastrayo shastra yonitvat
(03:30)
Sutra is just this much.
(04:36)
Understand, first let us understand the word ‘Shastra’.
(06:38)
Once in a Vedantic book stall, a customer went and asked showing two books - the Brahma Sutra Shankara bhashya and Ramanuja bhashya, asked the seller, “What is the difference between these two?” The bookseller said, “Forty five rupee.” Because these books are rarely read, very rarely studied, very, very, very rarely understood.
(08:21)
Only the omnipotent, omniscient intelligence will have guts to reveal its quality.
(09:50)
What is Enlightenment?
(11:49)
All the psychodrama you add on the things and persons and situations, if they are deducted, truth is revealed.
(13:17)
If I have to translate this Sutra Shastra yonitvat, Reality is the origin of the truths about Reality.
(14:24)
Today learn this lesson.
(15:42)
In West Bengal, there is a great spiritual tradition called Bauls.
(17:12)
Try this.
(18:46)
The other day, I was reading a slogan in the T-shirt, “Truth is a disease happens to you because of alcohol deficiency.” Reality is a illusion created by alcohol deficiency.

[00:38]
I welcome you all with My love and respects. So before entering into today's satsang, I wanted to remind all of you, these satsangs are specially for creating eN-effect on people. So I wanted all of you to sit in padmasana and samana mudra. I can see already the eN-effect has started happening on the globe.
[01:30]
Today's subject is 'Become Invisible, Unknowable ' Patanjali is expanding on the next level of samyama and next powerful technique. 'Etena sabdadi antardkanam uktam'. Vivekananda translates this sutra as: "In this manner the disappearance or concealment of words which are being spoken and such other things are also explained". Swami Prabhavananda translates this sutra as: "Thus also its sounds ceased to be heard"'. Swami Satchidananda translates this sutra as: "In the same way, the disappearance of sound, touch, taste, smell is explained." Osho says: "This principle also explains the disappearance of sound".
[02:39]
This sutra explains the technique of disappearance of sound also. The yesterday's sutra was giving us the samyama technique for disappearance of seen If you practise that samyama, how you can disappear, invisible from others eyes or how you can realize what you are seeing is not reality.
[03:39]
In this sutra, Patanjali explains a method or process for same way making you inaudible.
[04:34]
What’s the technique? When you create a sound, do samyama on how sound happens. And do samyama on the ears of a person who is receiving the sound. On whose ears the sound is becoming meaningful words. Once you do samyama on the person who is hearing, on his ears and give a command ‘let it be separated’, you will be talking or shouting, doing what you want, the person will not be able to listen, hear. He will not be able to understand what is being taught or what is being told.
[05:36]
These are some of the extraordinary powers.
[07:00]
All the great miracles, extraordinary powers, expressions you read, study, in different Master’s lives, enlightened beings lives, is all these great yogic powers; it is these great yogic siddhis. It is these yogic siddhis which are responsible for creating those miracles. I can say all yogis, all siddhas were not only expressing the extra ordinary powers, they also realised the ordinary reality is not reality. Ordinary reality is not reality!
[08:28]
Try it on yourself. Actually you can try this experience experiment. Take a candy and a green chilli. Put both on your tongue in two ends. One side touch your tongue with a candy, very sweet candy; other side with a green chilli. Be aware of both. What is happening? How the tongue is responding? Do samyama on it. Suddenly you will realize both excitement is one and the same. It is you who is labelling it; this is hot, this is sweet. This samyama will liberate you, will make you realize, experience, will make you understand how to do samyama on the sound, how to do samyama on the touch, how to do samyama on the seen.
[10:47]
Doing Samyama on all these five, exactly on the spot, on the space where the cognition happens, where the recognition happens will lead you to have extraordinary powers and the realization - 'reality is not the ultimate reality'!
[11:25]
Suddenly now I am feeling, the morning sutras of Patanjali and evening sutras of Vyasa both are overlapping on each other or both are complimenting each other.
[12:25]
So try samyama on where you hear the sound. In Patanjali you need to do some practice. Method in which Patanjali works is working in the 'in you'. In Brahma Sutras, the method Vyasa works is you should talk it out. Only when you tell others, your own brain, your own dormant parts of the brain which has not understood or become aware or imbibed will suddenly open up and imbibe.
[14:26]
Let's gets into samyama. Bring your whole awareness to the ears. See how the sounds are heard. Please understand, I am not saying, ‘hear’. I am saying, ‘see’. See how the sounds are heard inside your head, how meanings are made for the sounds.

Close your eyes. See how you make meaning for the sounds. Do samyama on that very space where the sounds are heard and meanings are made. Try this samyama today whole day. We will gather again in the evening for Brahma sutras.

Saturday, March 05, 2011 Prayer. Welcome. These satsangs are specially for creating eNeffect on people. So I want all of you to sit in Padmasana and samaana mudra. I can see already the eNeffect has started happening on the globe! Today’s subject is become invisible, unknowable! Patanjali is expanding on the next level of samyama, next Patanjali Yoga Sutras, 3rd chapter verse – Etena sabdavi antardhana muktam Vivekananda: In this manner the disappearance or concealment of words which are being spoken and such things are alos explained Prabhavananda: thus also its sounds ceased to be heard Satchitananda: the disappearance of sound, touch, taste, smell is explained Osho: this principle also explains the disappearance of sound This sutra explains the technique of disappearance of sound also. The yesterday’s sutra was giving us the samyama technique for disappearance of seen, if you practice that technique you will know how to be invisible for others eyes. How you can realize what you are seeing is not reality. In this sutra, Patanjali explains the process for making you inaudible. For example, if you apply the same principle which you understood for the ears, you can make others stop listening to you. only people who you want can hear you. if you want someone not to hear you, he will nto be able to hear you. when you create a sound, do samyama on how sound happens and do samyama on a person who is receiving the sound and whose sound is becoming meaningful words. Once you do samyama on a person and his ears, and give a command, you will be talking, shouting do what you want but the person will not be able to understand what is being told. The same way smell can be separated. Touch can be separated. It is almost like a mastery over the sensory realities! Mastery over the sensory realities makes you understand the sensory realities are not realities! Only when you master something you will understand the whole, complete. All the great miracles extraordinary powers, expressions you read, study in different master’s lives, enlightened beings lives is all these great yogic powers and siddhis. It is this yogic siddhis which are responsible for creating those miracles. I can say all yogis, all siddhas were not only expressing the extraordinary powers, they also realized the ordinary reality is not reality! Try it on yourself. Do samyama on how the sounds are heard and converted into meaningful words. How the touch is felt and converted into pain or pleasure. How the smell is felt and converted into good or bad. Do samyama on the spot where the conversion happens. work on the space where the meaning is added to ‘what is!’ then you will be very easily able to separate. Take a candy and a green chilli. Put both on your tongue at 2 ends – one side the sweet candy, other side green chilli. Be aware of both. How the tongue is responding. Do samyama on both, suddenly you will realize both are one and the same, the same excitement. It is YOU who label this his hot, this is sweet. This samyama will make you experience, understand, realize how to do samyama on the sound, how to do samyama on the touch, how to do samyama on the seen. Do intense samyama on all these 5 exactly on the spot, on the space where the cognition, the recognition happens will lead you to have extraordinary powers and the realization – reality is not the ultimate reality! Suddenly now I am feeling the morning sutras of Patanjali and evening sutras of Vyasa are both comprehending each other. Patanjali prepares you for Vyasa and Vyasa raises you to Patanjali! Morning sutra is more like a knowledge with technique. By the time you practice the technique and either experience or tired, evening Vyasa breaks your head without technique. So try samyama on where you hear the sound. In Patanjali you need to do some practice. In Vyasa’s Brahma sutra is after you imbibe you need to express – means you need to talk it out, you need to inspire others. If you don’t do nidhi dhyasana, expressing in your words, actions if you are not inspiring, then it wont work. You will forget it and get into the laziness – tamas. It does not get imbibed, settled in you. method in which Patanjali works is working in you. in Brahma Sutras method Vyasa works is you should tell others. Only when you tell others you own parts of your brain which have not understood, will suddenly open up and imbibe. Let us get into samyama. Bring your whole awareness to the ears. See how the sounds are heard. Please understand, I am not saying hear. I am saying SEE. See how the sounds are heard inside your head. How meanings are made for the sounds. Close your eyes. See how you make meaning for the sounds. Do samyama on that very space where the sounds are heard and meanings are made! Try this samyama today whole day, we will gather again in the evening for brahma sutras. Blessings!
