Q&A on Attachment to Enlightenment and True Love
Description:
From the works of Living Enlightened Master Paramahamsa Nithyananda. This clip is taken from discourse titled, "Catch the Middle Path", Swamiji answers the question of being attached to enlightenment. He tells us that all you need to do is nothing, just be and you shall experience it. He tells us that whatever idea we have is our fantasy about enlightenment and not enlightenment. We can never be attached to enlightenment. When we have a deep connection with the Master every word he expresses becomes a direct experience in you.
Swamiji in answering a question about using external deity to find god within, Swamiji beautifully tells us that love has an intense ability to melt boundaries. When you deeply experience deep love with somebody it is as if you have merged with that person. Expansion happens when you are rally in love. When Jiva (Self) looks Jagat (world or object) with deep love it becomes god or eshwara. On the question about love, He says that we look at an object or person from the perspective of hat I can get from it, her or him. It is therefore from the zone of fear and greed. It is called pravritthi. If we are looking at it from the perspective of what I can contribute to that person, it is from nivrithi or from process of love. No word can really express love. Love is an intense experience that cannot be verbalized.
