The Thimithi (Tamil: தீமிதிKundam) or firewalking ceremony is a Hindu festival originating in Tamil Nadu, South India. The fire-walking ceremony is in honor of the goddess Draupati Amman, who is considered the incarnation of goddess Mariamman, and is practiced not only in India, but also in Fiji, Sri Lanka, Singapore, Malaysia, Mauritius, Réunion, South Africa and other countries with large South Indian populations.

That day's Firewalking ritual was presided over by the Supreme Pontiff of Hinduism Bhagavan Nithyananda Paramashivam on 14 February 2007 in Adi Kailasa, Bengaluru, Karnataka, India.
