The City of Kinston, located in the coastal plains region of eastern North Carolina, is well-known for its heritage, parks and recreation, community activities, friendly and quiet neighbourhoods, river enhancements, city services, quaint shops, revitalized downtown areas and business community. The City of Kinston is the recipient of the All-America City Award, a community recognition program in the United States given by the National Civic League, recognizing the use of inclusive civic engagement in addressing critical issues an create stronger connections among residents, businesses and nonprofit and government leaders.
