A bald man in an orange robe with rimless glasses stands at right, arm extended toward a black stone deity murti draped in orange cloth and garlanded with yellow, white and purple flowers. The murti sits on a red-painted base decorated with sculpted faces and scattered yellow marigold petals. Behind him, several people in white kurtas wear yellow shawls, and a figure in an orange robe stands near them. The ground is sandy and a copper oil lamp sits near the base of the linga.2008-01-25Outdoor ritual scene under large trees beside a water body: a standing deity murti or statue of a sage, decorated with garlands of yellow, orange and white flowers, stands on a stone pedestal. In front, a figure in orange robes with long dark hair, back to camera, performs worship with a small lamp or ritual object. Behind, a row of devotees in orange and saffron robes, some with orange turbans and rudraksha malas, stand with hands folded. Brass vessels, a kalasha-like pot, flower plates and offerings sit on a mat before the murti; a striped cloth covers part of an object near the mat. Decorative red cloth hangs at right.2008-12-30December 30 20082008-12-30October 10 20102010-10-10Outdoor ritual at a shrine beneath large shade trees. A deity murti stands under a white arched canopy, draped in garlands of marigolds and flowers, behind a red rock mound with a small offering tray in front. Several people in saffron-orange robes stand in a line on a dark reflective platform; a woman in front, in an orange garment with a white flower garland, holds a small item toward the shrine, while a man at right in orange holds a tall ceremonial staff with a gold top and a rudraksha-style necklace. Others in orange and a few in white and yellow stand with hands folded in prayer. A gold-coloured ritual object is visible at upper right. The scene reads as a puja or darshan at the shrine during festival celebrations.2008-12-28 +1 copiesOctober 10 20102010-10-10 +1 copies
