A seated figure in saffron-orange robes, with a draped orange head covering and a large garland of yellow marigolds and red-and-white flowers, presses palms together at chest level while smiling. Beside him, a kneeling man in white clothes with a rudraksha-style mala holds a folded pink cloth near the figure's knees. Standing behind them, a woman in a white sari with a dark top looks on. The background has striped cream and red cushioned seating and floor-length cream curtains. Appearance-based label: a person, seated in the orange robes and flower garland, with the saffron-robed cues alone insufficient to confirm identity.2004-07-26A seated man in saffron-orange robes with a rudraksha mala and a bare upper arm sits on a white-cushioned seat, reading an open printed document held in both hands. An elderly woman in a white sari with a dark necklace bows low with palms pressed together, bending toward his feet. Behind them stand a man in a white shirt and a shaved-headed man in orange robes looking down at a folded paper, and a man in white with an orange shawl stands at the right beside a tray holding flowers and small offerings. The man in saffron with long swept-back hair and rudraksha malas is a person in an appearance-based sense, seated in a presiding role while receiving the devotee's respects.2008-03-12November 12 20082008-11-12March 24 20082008-03-24Indoor photo of a healing darshan. A long-haired figure in orange robes and an orange shawl sits on a white-draped seat, placing a hand on the head of a man in white who bows with palms pressed together. Behind them a standing man in white wears an orange shawl and a rudraksha mala. A young man in white and orange shawl holds a small card near the kneeling man's head, while another in orange stands nearby. Older women in white saris kneel in the foreground. Trays of offerings, a trident on the right wall and a red flower arrangement sit behind. Swamiji (probable) is the long-haired seated figure in orange, giving blessing; cues are long swept-back hair, orange robes and rudraksha mala.2008-03-22January 02 20082008-01-02A seated man in an orange turban and orange robe with rudraksha beads and a red tilak on his forehead leans over a white-draped seat, pointing at black-and-white printed photographs laid on a white cloth. Fresh red roses and white flower garlands sit on the table in the foreground, beside a steel tumbler, and a brass tray of flower petals rests on a side table behind him. The room has plain white walls and a small framed picture on the wall. Appearance-based cues including the orange turban, orange robe, rudraksha beads and red tilak suggest a probable Swamiji (probable) seated in a ceremonial chair, examining printed photographs.2008-01-02March 23 20082008-03-23November 12 20082008-11-12A photograph of a darshan session in a hall. A seated man with long dark hair, wearing an orange sleeveless top with an orange shawl, a rudraksha mala, and a red tilak on his forehead, holds a dark bead mala in his hands while smiling. Beside him on a white-draped table are glossy printed booklets, a small blue box, and bronze items. A man in white clothes with folded hands bows before him, and other men in white and orange shawls, one in saffron robes with a red-bordered dhoti, stand nearby. A woman in a light gold sari sits in the foreground, and a shelf with a flower-decorated tray is visible at the back.2008-03-24A photograph of a seated figure in a red-orange turban and red-orange garment with gold trim and a leopard-print band, wearing a green leaf garland and gold bangles, holding an open book with a golden-framed portrait on its cover. Facing them, a man in a white shirt with a blue lanyard kneels and offers a tray of yellow and red flowers with bananas. Behind them a woman in a white dress with a long orange-red bead necklace stands, a woman in an orange sari with a lanyard stands at right, and a woman carries a toddler in a yellow outfit. A white wall-mounted air conditioner unit and red carpet are visible. The figure seated in a red-orange turban is the only candidate for the described teacher, though the appearance is not distinctive enough to confirm identity.2014-04-09March 22 20082008-03-22
