A photograph of a group seated on the floor around a golden tray of food offerings, with silver dishes, bananas and sweets. A young man in a white dhoti and shirt with a rudraksha mala looks on, and a small boy in an orange shirt reaches toward the tray. At the left edge, a seated figure in orange clothing sits near a gold-trimmed wooden chair with a red cushion and orange shawl.2010-10-09A photograph of a ritual gathering in a hall with pale walls and a dark red curtain. In the foreground a shaved-headed priest in white dhoti sits cross-legged, bare-chested, with a sandalwood-marked forehead and a gold-toned necklace, holding a small offering plate of orange sweets beside a silver tray with red fruit. Seated nearby are a man in white, a woman in a red blouse and glasses, and several women in blue and white. At left a figure in orange robes stands beside a wooden podium with a gold-edged frame. Many more people in white and orange sit on the floor and on chairs in the background. The scene reads as a devotional puja with offerings, and Swamiji is not clearly identifiable from appearance.2010-09-16October 28 20102010-10-28A seated figure on an ornate gold-and-red throne with a dark cushion wears a leopard-print shawl over orange clothing and has long swept-back dark hair; he appears to be speaking. Before him a young boy in a yellow-and-white striped shirt and white dhoti bows forward with folded hands, while a smiling bald man in white dhoti and shawl with rudraksha mala leans in beside them. A kneeling man in orange robes with a rudraksha mala sits at lower left. Behind, a woman in a white sari with a mala stands near a gold-trimmed table holding apples, a tray and a book. A blue curtain and forest backdrop complete the setting. In the centre, a man in orange sleeveless robes with long dark hair tied back extends his hands toward a small child held by a man in a white shirt with a rudraksha mala. He appears to be the central figure of a padapuja. Probable Swamiji: long swept-back hair, saffron clothing and rudraksha mala are the distinguishing cues. In front of the throne, silver trays hold fruit, pink flowers and offerings, and devotees kneel on the floor in front of the platform, some with palms joined. Behind them a saffron-robed priest with a shaved head holds a white thread, and a young woman in white with a yellow shawl stands at left. A man in orange robes at right watches.
