Seated devotees in orange and saffron robes perform a ritual at a long low table covered with a purple cloth, with banana leaves, bowls of food and fruit, and water bottles in the foreground. Several shaved-headed men in the front row sit with palms pressed together in namaskar, with white and orange tilak marks on their foreheads and wooden rudraksha malas around their necks. Younger boys in orange clothes and red-and-orange shawls sit beside them with hands folded. A brass kalasha stands near the table. Behind them a large hall is filled with onlookers in white and red-orange clothing, some wearing saffron scarves.

A large seated group of devotees in saffron and orange robes sits in rows on a mat, hands pressed together in anjali mudra during a ritual meal or satsang. Many wear rudraksha malas and bindis or tilak, and some have shaved heads. Banana-leaf plates hold food, with small steel cups, water bottles and white flower-like offerings placed between them. Behind them, other people in white clothes sit in the hall, and an oil lamp glows at the left edge. No single figure is clearly identifiable as a person from appearance cues alone, so the presence of a candidate is uncertain.

A photograph of a ritual gathering in a hall, with many young priests and devotees seated on the floor in orange and maroon robes. Foreground boys wear orange cloth and rudraksha malas, their foreheads and arms marked with white ash; some hold small items at their hands while sitting before brass puja vessels, small dishes and flowers on low tables. Behind them, rows of seated participants in maroon and red garments and white clothing sit behind rope barriers, with a few standing figures and an older man in white at the right edge. The scene suggests a puja or abhishekam-style ceremony with brass vessels and oil lamps.
