February 12 20132013-02-12A photograph inside an orange-draped tent. A man in an orange turban and orange shawl with a gold armband stands on the left, his right hand raised and placed on the forehead of a kneeling bearded elder who wears a white head cloth, an orange garment and a maroon shawl. Behind them a shaved-headed man in orange robes with a red tilak and a rudraksha mala watches with hands together, and a gold-and-red throne is visible. Other seated devotees in orange and beige robes, one with a mala, sit at the right edge. The gesture suggests a blessing or initiation.2013-02-12Photograph inside a saffron and red tented pavilion. A man on the left wears a tall orange turban, an orange shawl draped over his shoulders, a jewelled gold armband and an orange-and-gold wrap, and reaches forward with open palms toward an older bald man in white kurta with a cream shawl, who presses his hands together in greeting. Behind them, several men in white, cream and orange garments stand and watch, including a man in a yellow turban and a bald man in a grey shawl at right. The tent fabric glows orange in warm light. Several figures in the background; the person in the orange turban is a person by appearance cues including the turban, orange drape and ornate gold armband, but this is uncertain.2013-02-12February 12 20132013-02-12Photograph in an orange-draped tent. A person in an orange turban, orange shawl and orange robe with a gold-toned ornamental belt and gold bangles smiles while clasping hands with a man in a white shirt and orange shawl wearing a rudraksha-style bead necklace and a wristwatch. Behind them stand other men, one in white with an orange shawl and another in white with a light shawl, and a shaved-headed man in orange. The orange and red fabric backdrop and a gold-coloured object behind them create a warm setting.2013-02-12A photo of a saffron-clad figure on the left wearing an orange turban, orange shawl draped over the shoulders, gold waist belt and gold armband, smiling and raising a hand in a blessing gesture toward devotees. Beside him, several men in white kurta shirts and orange or cream shawls stand under an orange and red canopy; one man in a white shirt bows with hands folded, another leans forward toward the saffron-clad figure, and a man on the right in a white shirt and orange shawl holds a microphone. Ornate gold-coloured decorations and a red-and-gold cloth hang behind them. The saffron-clad figure is a probable Swamiji by appearance, with distinctive orange turban, saffron robes, gold waist belt and gold armband, and is seated in a central role receiving devotees. Five visible people in total.2013-02-12A photograph of a seated figure with long dreadlocks, wearing a rust-brown turban and a brown robe with a rudraksha mala draped over the shoulders, extending a hand toward a group of men standing around him. Several men wear white shirts or dhotis with orange and yellow shawls and garlands; one bare-chested man in a red-and-maroon dhoti holds a rudraksha mala and offers something. A man in the centre holds a small object in cupped hands, and another raises a phone. Red curtains and a red carpet are behind them, with a bright light glare at the centre. The seated figure has distinctive long hair, rudraksha malas and a turban, so this is a probable Swamiji (probable) candidate presenting a blessing or offering to the devotees, with the surrounding men as devotees.2016-07-23December 24 20112011-12-24A photograph of an indoor gathering. A man in a cream turban and cream shawl over a red-and-gold silk garment, with a rudraksha mala at his neck and beaded bangles on his wrist, smiles warmly while raising his hand toward a man in an orange turban and orange kurta. The orange-robed man listens with a serious expression. A man in a white shirt stands at left, and a cameraman with a video camera and other attendees in the background, one in red, are visible. A red and orange backdrop fills the background.2011-09-22October 19 20132013-10-19May 24 20132013-05-24June 22 20122012-06-22 +1 copies
