A photograph of a home shrine decorated with red and marigold garlands. Three framed black-and-white portraits sit on a table draped in navy fabric with gold border: the left and right portraits show a woman in a white head covering, and the centre portrait shows a bearded man with a tilak seated in white. In front of the centre frame stands a small deity murti decorated with white and red garlands, flanked by fruits, bananas, grapes and a pineapple. A brass lamp with lit flame sits in front, and a hand holding a lamp and a bell is visible at the left edge. Brass plates with offerings sit at the lower left on a red cloth. The wall behind is yellow tile.

A shrine table draped in blue fabric with gold patterns displays three framed black-and-white portraits, each decorated with marigold and jasmine garlands. The left portrait shows a man in a white turban and robe; the centre portrait shows a bearded man in white with a tilak; the right portrait shows a woman with a white veil and white cloth. In front stands a small brass deity murti dressed in maroon and white, adorned with a rudraksha mala and white flower garland, flanked by fruits including bananas, apples, grapes and a pineapple. A brass oil lamp with lit flames and a golden cow figurine sit at the front left beside red flower garlands, and a red and pink floral garland frames the backdrop. No physical people are visible.

A devotional shrine on a blue patterned cloth draped over a table, set against a yellow-tiled wall. Three framed black-and-white portraits are garlanded with red, yellow and orange marigolds and white jasmine. The left portrait shows a figure in white with a white head wrap and a tilak; the centre portrait shows a bearded figure in white with a tilak; the right portrait shows a seated woman in a white shawl with a tilak. In front stands a small brass statue of a deity murti adorned with a jasmine garland, a red bead mala and a pink flower. Fruit offerings include bananas, apples, oranges, a pineapple, grapes and a custard apple. A brass oil lamp with lit wicks sits at the front left, and a red floral garland drapes its stand. No people are present.

A photograph of a ritual homa in progress at a temple room with yellow walls and framed black-and-white portraits along the top wall. A man with swept-back grey hair, bare-chested, wearing a yellow dhoti with a striped and green-bordered shawl draped over his shoulder, stands at right raising a lit lamp in his right hand. Before him is a green-draped table with a decorated deity murti crowned with a red and gold headdress, flanked by conical kalasha pots with fruit and leaves. In front lies a bed of flower petals, bananas, oranges and coconut, with a fire pit burning at the bottom of the frame, a brass oil lamp at left, and offerings in steel trays scattered across the floor.

Photo of a ritual in a temple shrine. A shaved-headed priest with bare chest, white dhoti and a reddish cloth wrap stands at left, extending his arm toward a tall brass lamp stand with flames while smoke rises. Centre-right, a seated statue in a red-and-white robe and a pink turban sits on a chair garlanded with orange and white flowers; it is a statue, not a living person. Behind, a large deity murti with a crown and jewelled ornaments is decorated with red and white garlands under a gold arch. Yellow cloth covers the altar, with bowls of fruit, bananas, pineapple, flowers, brass vessels and a red-cloth-covered tray in front. Background shows another deity figure with an orange garment and a blue cloth. No readable text.

A man in a maroon and gold-bordered dhoti with a long white and red flower garland waves a lit oil lamp (aarti) toward three framed black-and-white portraits on a draped red satin altar. Smoke rises from the lamp. The portraits are garlanded with white and pink flowers and lit from above. In front, a low seat draped in maroon and gold cloth is covered in flower garlands and holds a fruit tray with coconuts and bananas. The white room has ornate white pillars. A man in a maroon and gold dhoti performs an aarti, not a visible fire pit homa. The portraits are printed photographs, so they are depicted people, not physical attendees.

A priest stands at left in a bare-chested white dhoti with a white sacred body mark on his shoulder, holding a brass aarti lamp with a lit flame over a silver plate of mango-like fruit. Before him, dark-complexioned deity murtis stand in a gilded arched shrine decorated with garlands of white, pink and purple flowers. The central figure wears a blue dress and blue crown with gold necklaces, flanked by figures in pink and brown garlands. A green and purple silk cloth lies at the base. Another murti in purple at the upper left stands near the red curtain. Brass lamps and offerings sit on the shrine ledge, indicating a puja or aarti.
