Outdoor street scene during a crowded public procession in Tamil Nadu. A central figure in a red-orange robe and a bright orange-and-white garland stands surrounded by devotees; a man in a light-coloured garment holds a large saffron, yellow and white flower garland. Nearby men wear white shirts and white dhotis, some with rudraksha malas, and a man in front raises a hand. On the left a cameraman films with a large Sony video camera on his shoulder. Behind them a white van, a striped purple-and-green canopy and a dense crowd fill the street. The central figure's face and identity are not established from appearance; the robed garland-wearing person is a devotee or honoured guest in an orange-red robe.
