Outdoor scene on a sandy ground lined with coconut palms under a clear blue sky. A figure in saffron-orange robes with a long flowing hairstyle stands beneath a silver fringed umbrella edged in red, with a garland around the neck, apparently the honoured figure of the event (a person). Nearby, men in white dhotis and kurtas and women in orange sarees stand around, while a group of young men in white vests and shorts take part in a ring-like game on the sand. A table with a blue cloth and a sign stands at right beside a line of devotees in white. Shade structure and tall flagpoles with an orange flag frame the background.
