Night-time photograph of a large crowd of devotees standing behind a long bamboo barrier on a dirt ground, facing toward a bamboo scaffold structure with black panels and white cloth draping at the right. Two uniformed police officers in khaki stand in the foreground near the barrier, one with his hands clasped. Many people wear white shirts, dhotis, saris and salwar kameez; some carry bags. Floodlights illuminate the scene and the sky is dark.
