A photograph of an outdoor ritual with a sacred fire. In the centre, a grey-haired, bare-chested man in white dhoti with gold borders kneels with a palm raised while a woman in an orange-red and gold garment with long dreadlocked hair presses her palm to his forehead and holds a red-flowered rod. Behind them, several bare-chested men in white dhotis with gold borders stand, some holding brass plates of fruit and offerings. To the left, a fire burns on a low platform beside a brass lamp, sugarcane, and coloured mats. A pedestal fan and a red-brick building stand in the background.
