Night photograph of a dense crowd lining a road, many people pressed together on the pavement and roadway. A large group of mostly men and women in everyday clothing, some in white shirts and dhotis, one man in a teal shirt raising his hands, others with palms pressed in namaste. A woman in a pink sari and a woman in a pink-and-white head covering stand near the front. A uniformed police officer stands at left among the crowd. Street lights and illuminated signboards with red and orange banners frame the scene, with a glowing arch ahead. Many people appear to be watching a procession approaching. A phone light is visible among the crowd.
