A wet mountain road winds through dense green forest on a steep hillside, lined with a white and orange railing. A pilgrim party travels upward: several people ride brown ponies or mules, one rider in a white garment with an orange shawl, and others in orange and blue clothing. Porters carry a person seated in a wooden chair-palanquin draped in blue and orange cloth, while men in dark clothes walk alongside, one holding an orange flag. A few other figures in orange, green and red clothing follow on the road.
