Outdoor photograph of a crowd on a hillside road with green forested slopes behind. In the centre, a figure in a white clear rain poncho over white clothes with an orange shawl and a long rudraksha mala sits beside a dark case or device, with a small grey gadget in hand. Beside them a woman in a pink-and-clear rain poncho with an orange shawl gestures with her hand, and a man in a navy jacket wears an orange scarf. At right an older woman with glasses wears a bright green rain poncho. Many onlookers in caps, knit hats and rain gear fill the foreground, and a blue bag and garlands lie near a horse or pony.

Most wear saffron-orange shawls and robes, and a few wear white or grey and pink jackets, with some hooded heads visible. In the centre, a man in orange with long dark hair and a beaded mala sits cross-legged with his hands together near brass vessels and a small deity murti on a wooden stand. Other orange-clad men sit around him, and a person in a dark jacket leans in at left. Ritual items including a brass tray and kalasha-like vessels are arranged on the platform, and umbrellas and staffs are visible at the top. This appears to be a homa or puja gathering outdoors, with the a person identity uncertain from appearance alone.2006-05-30
