Photograph of a registration or enrolment desk in a plain cream-walled room with a patterned orange cloth on the table. A bare-chested man in white dhoti with a gold border, seated at left, leans over paperwork and holds a pen. Opposite him a seated man with short dark hair, in cream clothes with a gold border and a beaded necklace, writes on a form. Standing behind them are a young man in white with a gold-bordered cloth over his shoulder, a woman in a red sari with a gold border and green trim, and an older woman in white with gold jewellery. Papers, pens and a small bag lie on the table. A striped cloth hangs on the left wall.

A man in a white dhoti and shawl with a gold border and a red mala stands at left, holding hands with a young woman in a maroon sari with gold border, whose long hair is pulled back. Beside them a man in saffron-orange robes, gold necklaces, a gold armband and a white tripundra on his forehead holds a small red-covered tray and papers. Another man in orange with a tripundra and gold chain stands behind, and a bare-chested attendant in orange with a rudraksha mala appears at right. In the foreground, three men sit cross-legged writing on paper: the one at left in white dhoti with gold border and a red pendant, wearing a rudraksha mala, writing on a yellow notepad; the centre man in white dhoti with gold border and a long rudraksha mala writes on a sheet on the floor; the man at right in orange robe with gold trim, bald with white markings on his forehead, writes with a green pen. Behind them, many people in orange and white robes sit and stand, with more devotees in the background and framed pictures on the wall. Several people count in the crowd beyond the foreground, with rough counts well over twenty.2016-01-16
