A man with long, swept-back dark hair, orange saffron robes and a gold-bead garland, with a vertical tilak on his forehead, reaches to place a white flower on a dark stone deity murti in a temple hall. Two ash-marked arms are visible; he is pictured in a ritual offering. Behind him, a silver vessel and a brass lamp rest on a tray held by hands at the left edge, and a second orange-robed figure stands in the background near a decorated altar with garlanded deity figures. Red and burgundy drapes hang at the right.

A photograph taken through a carved wooden doorway of a small shrine with white-tiled walls. A person in a flowing orange-saffron robe stands bent forward at the threshold, pouring water with cupped hands over a dark stone shivalingam garlanded with white flower strands and purple blossoms. A brass kalasha or vessel sits at the lower right corner and petals lie on the floor. The person's long dark hair falls over the shoulder; the face is not visible, so no identification is made.
