Photograph of a courtyard puja ritual before a carved dark wooden door with brass studs and knobs. Two men in orange and rust-red ritual cloth stand at the left and right, with rudraksha malas and white ash markings on their arms and backs. The man on the right holds a silver lamp with a lit flame, and the man on the left bends low near a silver tray with incense sticks, small cups and an oil lamp. Bundled sheaves with striped cloth ribbons, green leaves and pink flowers sit on a silver stand in the foreground, with coconuts, flowers and covered silver bowls in front. Two people are in the scene, and the rest of the page's description is not visible in the image.

The boy on the left, with a shaved head and white tilak on his forehead, reads from an open paper book on a green cloth. The boy on the right, with short hair and white tilak, has his palms pressed together in prayer, with rudraksha malas and bead bracelets on both.
