June 19 20082008-06-19A photograph of a house visit in a plain white-walled room with a framed picture on the wall. A man in a saffron-orange robe with a white flower garland and red flower garland sits on a white-draped sofa, one hand raised toward a kneeling man in a light blue shirt and white dhoti who bows with palms pressed together. A woman in a maroon sari with gold border kneels on the right, holding offerings, and a young man in white with a yellow shawl stands behind. A red tray of fruit, flowers and sweets sits in front of the seated figure, and a patterned rug covers the floor. Appearance-based cues on the seated saffron-robed man, including the long hair and garland, make him a person; he is seated, not shown on a screen, and his identity is uncertain.2010-02-17August 03 20092009-08-03A photograph of a padapuja-style honouring in an indoor room. A kneeling woman in a gold-bordered sari bows with her head down toward the petals, while a man in white shirt and white dhoti kneels at right, reaching toward the offering. Several men in white shirts and dhotis stand in the background near a dark wooden doorway, and a woman in a pale sari stands at the right edge. A bearded sadhu in orange robes with a rudraksha mala stands at left. A bald man in orange robes with a white forehead mark sits at right, hands pressed together in greeting. In front of him on a tiger-striped mat, a man in a white kurta bends low, touching a folded orange cloth, while a younger man in an orange shawl kneels nearby. Behind them, a man in white sits, and a wooden carved cabinet, a gilded ornate chair and a bowl of red beads or offerings are visible against brown walls. Presentation cues include the long hair, orange clothing and ornate gold-carved seat, but the appearance is not sufficiently distinctive to confirm identity.2008-06-28November 20 20092009-11-20
