A shrine doorway decorated for worship. Two tall painted cloth panels in green, red, blue and yellow with floral and geometric motifs and yellow-orange hems frame the entrance. Garlands of marigolds and green leaves hang across the top and down the sides. Inside, a seated figure in white sits before a golden arched backrest, largely hidden by a heavy garland of yellow, orange, pink and purple flowers. A shivalinga-like ornament with a white three-striped marking crowns the flower mass on a dark stone pedestal. A hanging brass pot sits above, and two brass oil lamps stand on either side. Red gladiolus stems are set in woven cones at the threshold, and the floor before the shrine is yellow with a patterned threshold design. The scene shows a deity murti or seated figure in a decorated shrine, with no people visible.
