Outdoor scene at a temple gateway with red-and-yellow striped walls and blue-and-gold deity statues flanking the entrance. A young man with long dark hair and a bare chest, wearing an orange dhoti and orange shawl with gold bangles, stands facing an elderly sadhu with dreadlocks, a long grey beard, rudraksha mala and white markings on his body, a red cloth draped over his arm. The younger man places a garland of white and yellow flowers over the sadhu's head. A police officer in khaki uniform stands nearby, with other men in pink and light shirts and an orange-robed attendant behind, watching. Swamiji (probable) is the bare-chested younger man in orange, shown bestowing a flower garland in a padapuja-style honour, and the appearance cues are long swept-back hair, orange clothing and gold bangles.2012-01-07January 07 20122012-01-07Outdoor photograph of a street scene in front of a temple gate with a painted guardian statue above. A long-haired man in an orange saffron garment and a yellow-and-red flower garland stands at right, smiling and holding a bangled hand toward a bearded, dreadlocked sadhu at left. The sadhu, bare-chested with white ash markings and a dark wrap, holds up a basket of bananas. Around them stand men in white shirts and dhotis, a uniformed police officer in khaki, and onlookers in casual clothes. The orange-clad man has distinctive long hair, saffron robe and garland cues, so this is a person candidate in a welcoming exchange with the sadhu.2012-01-07January 07 20122012-01-07January 07 20122012-01-07Outdoor scene at a temple entrance with a red-and-white striped wall and a painted stone deity murti in a niche above the gate.
