In the centre, a bald man in an orange robe with a matching orange shawl extends his hand toward a man kneeling on a striped mat, his forehead bowed to the floor in a gesture of reverence. To the right, a figure in an orange robe and orange head-wrap stands, and a man in white clothes stands at the edge. Several other men in white dhotis and shirts stand at the left. A young man seated on a low platform wears an orange-yellow turban, a white shawl, a white garland and an orange-yellow dhoti, with a red-and-gold sash across his chest. He smiles with his eyes lifted as an older man in a white kurta and white trousers, with grey hair, leans forward and touches the young man's forehead with one hand while holding his other hand together in a gesture of respect. Yellow and orange marigolds, red flowers and a white cloth bundle lie on the platform. Steps and a grey wall form the background, and a few partial heads appear in the lower corners. Visible cues do not establish the seated man's identity; the scene shows a blessing or honouring ritual.2002-04-19A photograph of an indoor gathering where a figure in an orange turban and orange dhoti with a white shawl kneels with raised palms, receiving a bow from an older man in a white shirt and white trousers who holds his palms together. Facing him, a man in a white shirt and white trousers with a black belt, wearing glasses, also presses his palms together and bows. Behind the stage table, a seated figure in orange robes and an orange turban, with a rudraksha mala, sits near a microphone stand, beside a pot of red and white flowers and a green fern arrangement on a striped tablecloth with two water bottles. Another man in white stands at the back right, and a white-garlanded seated figure is partly visible at the far right edge. Beside them a tray holds fruit and flowers. Behind them several men in white mundu and shirts stand with hands folded, one bare-chested with a mala, and a man in an orange-red shawl at right.
