A photograph of an indoor ritual setting. A smiling man with long dark hair, wearing an orange-saffron shawl over his body and a white and multicolour flower garland, sits on a white-covered seat and passes a small yellow object. The man in orange has a red tilak on his forehead. Behind them are a brass lamp stand, a yellow door and red and blue draped cloth, and a white electric fan is visible at right.2006-10-21Photo of a seated man in saffron-orange robes with a white jasmine garland edged in red flowers, a red bindi on his forehead and long dark hair, placing a rudraksha mala around the neck of a standing man in a white kurta with a yellow shawl. Behind them is a red draped backdrop with gold tinsel and floral decorations. The seated man has the appearance of a probable Swamiji (long swept-back hair, saffron robes, garland and rudraksha mala cues), and is shown in the act of bestowing the mala on a devotee.2009-11-16A seated man in saffron-orange robes, with a red-and-pink flower garland, bare upper body and gold bangles, smiles while a man in a white t-shirt and dark trousers ties or fastens a thread on his wrist. The seated man sits on a white-draped seat before a shrine with orange and gold cloth, garlands of white, yellow and green flowers, and gilded deity murti. A camera and tripod are visible at left, and a gold-and-flower decorated object sits in the lower right.2006-05-21May 21 20062006-05-21A photograph of a seated man with long dark swept-back hair, wearing an orange saffron wrap, a gold ceremonial necklace and rudraksha malas, having white paste applied to his chest and face by a standing man in white kurta and dhoti. A second man in white sits at left with a red tilak, beside a microphone stand and a white fan. Behind them is a decorated altar with an ornate golden deity murti, marigold and white flower garlands, and orange and red embroidered canopies. The page indicates the seated man is a person, and his appearance has several matching cues, so this is a probable identification. Two physical people are visible.2006-05-21A seated man in an orange saffron robe draped over his shoulders and torso, wearing a long white and yellow flower garland, with long swept-back dark hair, sits on a white cushioned seat in a plain room with a red-painted wall and a wall fan. He reaches out and rests his hand on the shoulder of a smiling man in a white shirt who kneels before him holding a small white booklet or notepad. A standing person in white clothing stands at the right edge.2006-12-10May 21 20062006-05-21A photograph of a seated figure in orange saffron robes wearing a long pink and white flower garland, with a red bindi and bare shoulders marked with white paste. He sits on a white cushioned seat before a decorated backdrop with gold deity figures, pink and white flower garlands and orange drapery. A man in a white kurta kneels before him with his hands held together in greeting, and a dark-clothed cameraman stands at left beside a microphone stand. Brass vessels and a garland of marigolds sit in the lower right corner. The seated figure has long swept-back dark hair and distinctive ornate gold jewellery, consistent with the page's reference to Swamiji, so the appearance-based label applies: Swamiji (probable), seated in a puja setting as the central figure receiving devotion.2006-05-21A seated figure in orange saffron robes and a long gold necklace with a pendant sits on a white-draped seat before a shrine of ornately decorated deity murtis garlanded with pink, white and yellow flowers. An elderly man in a white shirt and light kurta, with a rudraksha mala at his neck, stands with his back to the camera, tying or adjusting a thread at the seated figure's wrist. The seated figure smiles, wears gold bangles and has white sacred ash marks on the arms. In the foreground a rudraksha-beaded and flower-wreathed object with a golden crown-like ornament rests on the cloth. A kalasha-style decoration and white garlands frame the altar. The setting is a shrine room with orange and cream walls.2006-05-21February 24 20072007-02-24March 23 20082008-03-23January 26 20102010-01-26
