A padapuja ritual photographed close up. Bare feet of a person in orange-saffron robes stand on a gold-coloured silver tray filled with red and pink flower petals, yellow flowers, white jasmine-like blossoms and small gold oil lamps. A hand in a white sleeve and gold bangle holds a white cup with an incense stick smoking above it, while another hand holds a silver vessel at the right edge. Bare feet rest on a gold-coloured ornate pedestal laden with silver-rimmed brass plates holding red flower petals, red kumkum, and small bowls of liquid and offerings. A woman in a white garment and a long rudraksha mala sits in front with hands joined, and a man in a pink shirt sits beside her with palms pressed together. On the right, a woman in an orange sari and rudraksha mala watches, and a woman in white sits at the front edge. Several people in white clothing sit on a red carpet in the background. The seated figure's face is not visible, so no identification is made from appearance.2014-08-20May 06 20162016-05-06Close photograph of a puja offering being prepared on silver and gilt plates. Several round silver trays hold small silver bowls filled with orange and yellow sweets, pink and red pastes, and dried or fresh flower petals. A central gold plate is surrounded by red roses, pink lotus blooms, orange marigold petals and green leaves, with a small gold kalasha-like vessel at its centre. Silver cups and a silver container with a flower sit on the trays. Partially visible at the top edge are a saffron-clad figure and an orange-draped person, but no faces are shown. This appears to be a puja or prasad offering setup.2013-09-22May 25 20132013-05-25Close-up photograph of a puja offering: several hands hold and scatter pink and red rose petals over a large ornate gold tray and silver bowls filled with red and orange flowers, small golden lamps, and sweets.
