A man with long dark hair tied back, wearing a rust-red shawl over a bare chest and a long beaded gold-toned necklace, raises his right hand to touch the forehead of a man in a white kurta with a red-and-white lanyard and a red sash. The recipient holds his palm up in greeting. Behind them a woman in white with a beaded necklace watches, and a woman in a red-and-gold dress with a bindi is at right. An orange fringed canopy edge is at top left, with blurred people and white draping in the background. The blessing gesture resembles a padapuja-style darshan.2013-12-20May 03 20142014-05-03July 24 20142014-07-24A photograph of a ritual blessing indoors. A figure in a saffron-orange dhoti-style garment with a gold border and a red-beaded necklace stands bare-chested with one hand raised to the forehead of a young man in a white kurta, orange shawl and white ceremonial thread, whose arms are raised. The blessing giver holds a small white paper and a peacock feather fan. Behind them, a gold-coloured deity murti and a portrait in an orange turban appear. Seated elderly devotees in orange shawls and white clothes are visible in the background, along with a gold kalasha-like vessel at lower left.2014-03-21March 21 20142014-03-21
