In the foreground, a woman with long hair piled high and a crown of rudraksha beads wears a multicoloured garland of white jasmine, purple and orange flowers and a red bloom, with rudraksha bracelets on her arms. She wears a saffron-red garment with a bare shoulder and places both hands on the head of a kneeling man in white and gold, who bows his head to receive the blessing. Behind them, women in saffron and orange robes wearing rudraksha malas and white and gold sarees stand near the golden walls, with one woman bearing a trident-marked pendant. The ornate gold background and devotional setting suggest a darshan or blessing ceremony.2016-01-16Outdoor evening initiation scene. A seated figure on a red cushioned throne with an ornate gold-and-red backrest wears a leopard-print headwrap, rust-orange draped robe, heavy gold necklaces, gold bangles and hoop earrings, and touches the forehead of a bare-chested, white-clothed devotee bowing before him, who holds a small card. Behind them a standing man with white vibhuti marks, a beaded rudraksha-style mala and gold chains watches. Other people in red and blue garments stand in the background. Swamiji (probable): the seated figure's long swept-back hair, gold ornaments and ceremonial orange-red robe match the presentation cues, consistent with a Shiva Deeksha initiation.2017-08-21September 10 20172017-09-10February 22 20162016-02-22 +1 copiesFebruary 22 20162016-02-22 +1 copiesA seated man in a rust-red sleeveless robe, with long matted dreadlocks bound up and adorned with rudraksha beads, places his right hand on the forehead of a shaved-headed, bare-chested devotee kneeling before him. Both wear rudraksha malas; the robed figure wears a gold necklace and a rudraksha armlet. The devotee has his eyes closed and a white cloth draped over his shoulder. Behind them, gold ornate decorations, a silver staff and a golden kalasha-like object are visible, with other white-clad attendants and a plate of offerings at the left edge.2017-07-11A photograph of a darshan blessing inside a temple hall. A man with long dreadlocked hair, a leopard-print headband, a pink and white flower garland, and an orange-red cloth draped over his shoulder places his right hand on the head of a kneeling devotee in a white dhoti and bare chest, whose palms are pressed together. Behind them stand women in red and white saris with rudraksha malas and vibhuti, and a golden deity murti, a gold horse-faced figure and golden ritual items are visible. A probable Swamiji is the man giving the blessing, identified by long swept-back hair, a flower garland and orange clothing; the claim is page-supported and the appearance cues are moderate.2017-08-23July 28 20172017-07-28
