A cluttered home shrine photographed from above, dense with flowers and lights. A large framed portrait at the top shows a figure in orange robes with a long gold-beaded necklace and a raised hand, and a garland of orange and red marigolds hangs across its frame. Beside it a painting shows a bare-chested Shiva-like figure with a crescent and matted hair. Central offerings include a heap of purple and white flower garlands, a brass trident (trishul), a small brass deity murti, a red lotus, gold coins scattered on a gold and red cloth, a plate of offerings with a coconut-like item and white jasmine, and a string of colored LED flower lights. A small framed image shows a seated figure before a temple. No physical people are visible.A home shrine crowded with devotional items. In the centre, a framed photograph shows a smiling man in orange robes with a flower garland and a beaded necklace, raising one hand in a wave, with a tree trunk behind him; a portrait labelled "Paramahamsa Nithyananda" is not visible, so no caption is attributed here. Beside it stands a large framed painting of Lord Shiva seated in meditation, with a trident, rudraksha beads and a serpent. Marigold and red flower garlands, lotus-shaped fairy lights, oil lamps, brass figures, coins and fresh flowers fill the altar, and a small deity murti sits at lower right. No people are physically present in the scene.KAILASA SAN FERNANDO, TRINIDAD & TOBAGO on 7/22/2021Close photo of a home shrine altar with no people present. A lit oil lamp sits on a brass tray ringed with white jasmine flowers at the centre. Red and orange silk lotus flowers and blue flowers decorate the altar, and a heap of brown rudraksha malas rests at left. Behind is a large framed deity image with red garlands, flanked by printed pictures of a bearded saffron-robed sannyasi with a rudraksha mala and a deity in an arched frame. Brass figurines, a small kalasha-style vessel and a bowl of offerings complete the arrangement. Pictures are printed, not physical people; the sannyasi images are printed portraits and their identity is not determined from appearance.Photo 9920763KAILASA SAN FERNANDO, TRINIDAD & TOBAGO on 8/20/2021Photo 8285190KAILASA SAN FERNANDO, TRINIDAD & TOBAGO on 1/25/2021Photo 9923217KAILASA SAN FERNANDO, TRINIDAD & TOBAGO on 8/22/2021Photo 9920616A home altar photographed up close, arranged with flowers and garlands.
