A photograph of two men in saffron-orange robes standing on a concrete step at a construction site beside a whitewashed block wall with vertical red stripes. The taller man on the left has long dark hair swept back, wears an orange wrap draped over one shoulder, and is barefoot; he appears to be a sannyasi. Beside him, a shaved-headed man in orange clothing wears a beaded rudraksha-style mala necklace. Behind them a potted palm sits by a doorway of an unfinished building, with a metal scaffold frame at the top left and piled sand and a blue bin at the edge.2007-02-02 +1 copiesA smiling person in a saffron-orange robe and matching orange turban walks across a dusty construction site, eyes lowered, hands folded at the waist. Long dark hair falls to the shoulders. Behind and around them, several men in white dhotis and white shirts work near piles of red earth, a wooden plank and a metal pole, while rebar cages and square concrete-formed columns stand in trenches. A stone boundary wall, a white cloth canopy on poles, a water tank on a metal stand and green trees fill the background. A man in white at the right edge holds a long wooden stick. Two men in saffron-orange robes walk beside a white-washed wall striped with vertical red bands, beside a concrete stepped platform in a dusty construction area. The foreground man has long dark hair swept back and walks barefoot, looking toward the wall; the man behind him wears a shaved head and orange cloth. Blue drum, sand heaps, a potted palm and a partially visible framed portrait appear at the left and right edges. Swamiji (probable) is the long-haired figure in orange, identified by long swept-back hair and saffron clothing.2007-02-02 +1 copiesDecember 12 20062006-12-12 +1 copiesFebruary 24 20072007-02-24A photograph of an unfinished brick building with exposed red bricks and grey cement rendering, a doorway opening and a barred wooden-framed window. In the foreground a figure in a flowing saffron-orange robe and matching orange turban with a red tilak mark on the forehead steps down from the doorway onto a stack of loose bricks, with orange sandals on his feet. Behind him in the dim doorway two men in light clothing stand watching. Loose bricks, gravel and rubble cover the ground.2008-02-07A photograph of a figure in a long orange-saffron robe walking along a concrete path beside a bright red-orange brick building with a wide open doorway. The figure wears a multicoloured flower garland over the shoulders, has long dark hair swept back, and walks in sandals. Inside the doorway, an unfinished room shows a metal stepladder and bare floor. A window grille and a red perforated brick panel decorate the facade. At the right edge, a partially visible person in white clothing is passing. The figure's appearance with long hair, saffron clothing and garland gives some cues, but the identity is uncertain, so the person is described by role as a sannyasi walking past a newly built structure.2010-02-15A photograph of an outdoor ashram courtyard with sandy ground. In the foreground a young man in saffron-orange robes and an orange turban walks barefoot, carrying a small brass kalasha-style pot in one hand and a long staff in the other, with a rudraksha mala around his neck. Behind him stands a tall trident on a lilac pedestal with a stone bowl, beside a peach-coloured building with red window frames and a framed portrait of a seated saffron-clad figure on its wall. White-clad devotees stand in the background, and a large leaf fan is held at right. A framed portrait of a seated figure hangs by the doorway. The appearance of the saffron-clad man is consistent with the a person candidate cues, so the label is appearance-based and probable.2004-07-02A photograph of a construction site with trenches and piles of red-brown earth. A man in an orange-saffron robe and matching orange turban stands on a dirt path at centre, hands clasped at his waist, with long hair falling past his shoulders. Behind him, workers in simple clothes stand near a trench and stacked metal rods, and white-clad figures appear at the left and right edges. Palm trees, a parked silver SUV, a small white building with a green roof, and a red water drum sit in the background.April 22 20042004-04-22July 30 20082008-07-30 +1 copiesAn outdoor construction site with bare earth, concrete pillars and partly built brick walls under a pale sky. Several men in orange and saffron dhotis and shawls, and others in white kurtas with orange shawls, stand and work around a large blue barrel and piles of gravel and sand. One man in a white kurta and orange shawl carries a sack. A figure in a long orange robe stands on a raised mound at the back, and a row of palm trees stretches along the horizon.2006-12-12
